My wife and I just arrived in Sarande today, taking a route almost exactly the same as yours: MSP to DFW, DFW to LHR, LHR to CFU, spend one night there, then passenger ferry to Sarande on the next day. Border control people at Corfu stamped us in and out, so our two days in Schengen were correctly registered. It all went very smooth, and people were universally helpful when we had questions.

Welcome aboard, er... abroad! That is so exciting!!
We have an interview with a family that traveled with their two kids for a year coming soon. You may want to listen to that podcast episode. We met them at the end of their journey in Albania.

I love the part about “loosing” a Schengen day due to late arrival and customs agent. It really gives us an idea of that 90 day limit and how important it is. Thank you for the honest reaction. 💗🙏🏽🇵🇷

Yes ! Imagine losing 50 years 😢 ! For this Albanian are working fast every year making Albania one of lovely nation coast of Mediterranean with a high potential in Adriatic and Ionian Sea. This make a great view how harsh was from 1944-1991 to get nationally locked for “Albania “ as ex north Corea of Adriatic a closed nation isolated during communism era 1944-1991

Good point! If you arrive in Schengen just before midnight, delay going through passport control until after midnight. As a solo woman I try to avoid late night arrivals but sometimes these things are out of our control.

Yes! A good thing to keep in mind! We also try to avoid night arrivals for this reason.

April is the earliest we have been to Saranda. It is cooler in February and March and quieter. Antalya sounds amazing!

hi Brian, I'm in Saranda now, but was also here last January 2, til June 29. The year before from Feb. 28th to June 1rst. It was warm and sunny during the day this past winter, generally around 55 to 60 during the day. the year before, February and March were rainy and cool. So, it can be different from year to year.
