I did my first Spartan in 2019 and it sounds like my experience was a lot like yours. I ran with a big team of people from work and it was also very hot (90F) and humid. I had a blast and I was actually able to do a lot of the obstacles. I'm already registered for two more sprints this year and I'm really working to be able to do the monkey bars. :)

How good did your shoes come up after the race? Just deciding which ones to wear but worried about how dirty they will get 😂
Shoes are still okay! I don't use it much now at the gym though, because trail shoes are heavier. :(
Just did the Beast race in October and my shoes were caked in mud. But it all came off in the washing machine :) wear water proof/resistant trail shoes and you will be fine :)

Where did you trained?
Hi! I just trained at my local gym. Others are recommending obstacle course gyms. There's one in Makati and one in BGC. I wasn't able to train in those bec it's far from my house 😊
Yes I saw the one in Makati and BGC. I live in Marikina and looking for one nearer.. I live in Italy - i am training here. I will be having a full month of training in the PH so i am looking for a gym that is fully equipped to help me prepare. And traffic is terrible in the PH 😅
