    Never in my life I'm spending an extra £150 just to be a couple of seconds faster on a 4 hour round of golf.

      My thoughts exactly, the fact the premium is 1-2 secs faster will have no overall effect you won't play your shots significantly faster but you will be £150 better off that's the equivalent of a new Vokey wedge.

      He is suggesting to buy the premium one because he is in partnership with them. Watch his recent video with Peter Finch which was uploaded before this “comparison”. He shamelessly plugs this precision pro range finder for about a minute and a half

    First, I would say the NX9 is in the mid price range. Bushnell’s Pro XE is a couple hundred bucks more. Second, I have an NX9 HD, which I purchased from the US and they shipped it free to me here in the Philippines. Third, the customer service is excellent, but the reason I know that, is it shipped to me dead. After some trouble shooting it turned out the battery was dead. And that battery type was very hard to find here...but fourth, they have free batteries for life. They shipped me a replacement for free immediately. I’ve used it for about 2 years now, it had one issue where it would get stuck on a yardage or would not read past 150 yards. But I called them, they said remove the battery, then put it back in. The unit reset, have had no more issues. As far as not being worried about a time lag, I’m older with shaky hands. Trying to get a shot on something 200 yards out with trees behind can be difficult if it takes a couple of seconds to lock on. My previous unit was a Bushnell Pro X7. Big, but for shaky hands, was easier to hold steady. Also got bad eyes, so the 7x magnification helped. But after 6 years the activation button started going bad. So, don’t know if the GoGoGo has good customer service or free batteries for life, or how long will it hold up, the NX9 I think is a good value. MattFryerGolf I agree with you, magnet seems to lock on well, but I don’t feel that trusting. Hate to see it comes loose driving by a pond.

      @@bordy217 mine is a cheaper model without slope and I am measuring the same distances as my friends with Bushnells etc and still besting them, so no reason to empty your pockets with the first one.

    I have a lo budget one. Looks just like that. It’s not great in course. Doesn’t lock in easily. I use a watch too, the rangefinder struggles to find the target.

    Love my own range finder. But what I don’t like is the slow play from players that spend a long time on the rangefinder. And then duff the shot 15 yards

    I'll take a couple of dozen pro vs for the price difference. I actually bought a wosports on Amazon for $80 and used it all season and have no complaints compared it to bushnells and it was the same yardage. couple of seconds means nothing to me.

    odd, i bought a cheap one off amazon for $79 and it was almost instant read. i still don’t see a reason to spend $200+ for a range finder

    From the sounds of it the premium isnt worth the extra?! For that much extra cash I would expect a lot more of a difference. However enjoyed the video as always Matt and I kinda like the guess work without one - more fun and so much funnier watching mates or myself over shooting by miles 🤣🤣🤣

  • @darrenleake3343
    @darrenleake3343 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    1st world problems tbh with the cheaper one taking 1 second longer to get a reading. Takes longer getting it out the case n having to put it back tbh. I recently got a milessey Pro so I can turn slope.off so.its legal. Cost was £120, great buy, and im not worried about it taking nearly 3 seconds to get an accurate reading.

    Not so much in golf but having the decimal on the cheap one may be better for shooting

    I have the NX9, it outputs instantly. The optics is really good. I’m surprised you didn’t mention that. I compared it to Bushnell v5. Very comparable and for half the cost.
    Edit, I stand corrected you did mention optics

    I know when I play golf, if I don't have my range within, 1/2 a second, I get real mad and start tearing up stuff. And if I don't feel like I over spend on my golfing hobby I feel less of a man... so I'm buying the $300 unless you know of one costing a lot more.

    It looks like the budget one is taking more time to get more accurate distance. The more expensive one didn't do 49.3 went to 50 yards.

    I feel like the time especially for golf doesn't matter at all golf is a game of leisure and a lot of the time not played sober lol so as far as using it for club selection use they use pretty much the same technology go cheaper

    Interesting. Are these only used to capture the distance to the flag? Can you use them for example to gauge the distance to a dogleg off the tee?

    • @wesleyricketts789
      @wesleyricketts789 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can get distance to most objects, like a tree, bunker, etc. Most flags here in the US have a reflective material built into them to make sighting the flags a little better.

    I'd be looking at value for money here it's OK saying one has better quality than the other that should be a given if its more expensive But value for money definitely goes to the cheaper one. Like you said it does the job. And who cares if its 2 seconds slower. Your playing a leasurely game of golf, Not speeding around a race track. Plus you can buy 2 of this for the price of the other. I know where my money would go.

  • @johnanderson5622
    @johnanderson5622 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's really annoying me that you don't even take the expensive one away from your eye between the 3 distance readings, where as with the cheaper one, you take half steps back and forward between the readings, so naturally the readings are different. Overall though you do highlight that they both pretty accurate.
