It came in today so I checked it out playing a few holes. Then I set it on the back deck and measured it to the pin out the back door. 89 yards. I got the tape out as the sun set when no one was around. It was a little off. 88 yards 23 inches. I can live with that! Well done Gogogo! $300 in my pocket saved and a great range finder in the bag. Great purchase!
Another great review Stu! I've have the Wosports for a year it looks very similar to the Gogogo it cost $80 compared to several Bushnells and it has been within yard or two. No need to spend the extra on kit, I used the extra money saved for lessons!
Great video Stuart, I've got the Bushnell for years and never used the slope function as it's not allowed here in competition, but the gogogo is a great bargain at €100
I've got the gogogo, I'm a high handicap. I like it, only problem is the operating instructions are garbage. Came here to make sure I was using it right, (not much help there) but a good review, I think it's well worth the money. One other problem, you can't turn the slope off on that model. Found it on e-bay for 51.00
@@cartersmithgolf I have two Bushnells, one of them is an old Yardage Pro which was a hunting range finder, that Bushnell also sold for Golf. It's probably over 20 years old and still works as well as when I bought it from Cabela's in one of their fire sales 😉 I would buy the Bushnell for exactly that reason...they're bulletproof (forgive the pun), last forever, just changing the battery is the only maintenance my old one has ever needed. Geoff (Pitch n Putt Golf) was good enough to give me the other when he decided to go GPS...result for me 👍👍👍 Sorted for range finders til I die now 🤣🤣🤣
Shooting 2 lasers at the same target from the same position is a stupid idea as they may interfere with each other - EVEN if the 2 lasers are pulse lasers using different frequencies. Thus there is no guarantee that ranges stated were not affected by the other lasers reflections. Shooting one at a time would at least eliminate any possible interference. In fact the higher quality unit was most likely affected by the others laser as the higher quality unit maybe more sensitive. The lasers interfering with one another is also the most likely cause of the differing readings.
Thank you so much! Found the Gogogo Sport Vpro GS03 for only $55 on Ebay. VS GS24: It can go up to 1000 (vs 650) yards, locks on a pin at 300 (vs 150 yards) and takes 1 C battery vs 2 AA's. It is also black. I ordered it. Thanks again. We try it next week. Question: Are the different readings wind dependent?
That range difference is well within the margin of error for almost any golfer. If you're so accurate from 100+ yards that a cheap rangefinder being off by 3-5 yards truly affects your shot selection or execution and causes damage to your scores, then please spend the extra money on the best rangefinder you can get your hands on, but for the rest of us, save the money and get one that ballparks you within 10 yards. That's plenty good enough for even good golfers let alone average
I have the gogogo and on a hole, there was a 10 yard difference with a Bushnell... that cost me a shot... and I was wondering why my irons were always short... it's because my yardages were wrong
Yeah I think as with most budget devices the quality control can be inconsistent. Saying this I feel those yardages will be true to the device so I would always advice checking them against a true number (like a 150 yard marker or a marker on a driving range as apposed to checking it with another range finder). Thanks for watching. 🙏👍👍
Same situation with mine. It wasn't the case after my initially receiving it to my knowledge, but seems as if the sensor accuracy or quality is catching up with it
I'm thinking of getting a rangefinder (never had one before). My thought is that if I am going to use one on the course - then I will use it on the range, to see how far the rangefinder says I hit the ball. If it is consistently long or consistently short - it should still be helpful.
I just put an affiliate link which means if you use the link I get $2 from each sale. This is no the same as them paying me to make the video. I have links to everything I use and have no deal or sponsorship with the companies. I appreciate it’s confusing. Thank you for watching. 🙏🙏
Thanks pal, I use a home brew VFX that I’ve been working on over the last year or so. I use After effects, it’s highly labour intensive but I think it’s worth it.
Ultimately that’s the true test but I would say that as long as you always work to the same numbers and fix your yardages it’s fine as long as they don’t have a varying tolerance. Thanks for watching. 🙏🙏👍

Great to hear Casey, I’ve been using it a lot and it has been all good. 👍👍
Always great to see something new on the market and for a nice comparison - nice video, thx👍
Welcome mate. I was actually pretty surprised in the edit when I realised it our performed the more expensive unit.

Great call Jim, perfect way to spend the difference. 👍👍
The one I got gave the coordinates of the pin and then called in an air strike! May be it wasn't intended for golf....?
😂😂😂😂😂🤪🤪
Pro tip for increasing pace of play for the groups ahead.
I just got a shot scope pro lx range finder and love it
They are a nice bit of kit. Good choice. 👍👍

Yeah I’ve had a bushnell forever. I was very surprised In the edit at how accurate the Gogogo. All good for the consumer 👍
Best range finder I’ve ever used
It’s a great unit. 👍👍

Yeah I think it’s pretty hard to beat for value. 👍👍
Seems like a great value bit of kit that thanks Stuart 👍
I was genuinely surprised at how accurate it was. 👍
As always, insightful and objective!
Nice one Stu
Bless ya Kent. I was really surprised in the final edit that the cheaper unit had the edge on accuracy. 🤯🤯

The quick draw ranges are the best part of this video
😂😂😂😂
Just had the mrs get me one for Christmas. Card declined it because it was suspicious, so hopefully it comes as advertised 🤞
It will don’t worry. If you have any problems I’ll send you mine. Happy Christmas. 🎅

How do you trace the ball ?
I use my own technology based on 3D camera tracking.
@@cartersmithgolf I was wondering the same thing. It looks absolutely fantastic!
Can i point the laser at the spot where my shot landed and calibrate that distance?
Yes you can. I have just finished a new laser review with some more tips. Will be released tomorrow. Thanks for watching.
How accurate is it at 330+ or so yardage? 😅
I can’t confirm that as I didn’t stretch it that far. Sorry
Are you hitting greens at 330 yards?
@@seanjones2456 Yes...I can confirm it does accurately hit the flag at 300-350 yards.

It seems like the takeaway is if you just want to waste money, spend the extra 200.
We all love a fancy piece of kit if the money is there and I get that but In this case there is no need. The biggest tolerance by far is us.
All of these will be obsolete when my voice activated radar sun glasses hit the market. Great video though.
😂😂😂😂 love that Ian. Can I do a review on that when it’s really. 👍👍
@@cartersmithgolf Maybe wait for "One Putt" (patent pending), lazer guided green reading technology. 😂😂🤑🤑
@@iesudsy I would opt for the cup-magnet ball. Patent pending too. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
With a metal head I wouldn't do anything with magnets!
@@robertcourt8593 🤣👍🏻🤣 fore sure not.🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Stu what would happen if you strapped a range finder to a tripod and zapped a flag 3 times???
Would be a fun experiment I’m almost certain that you would get different readings.
Not sponsored? But, at the end clearly is. I'm confused.

Can you put the GOGOGO GS24 to meters (metric system)? and how does it work??
Hi, yes you can. Works just the same. 👍
Nice info. Thanks. Question. What equipment you used for shot tracing?
Thanks pal, I use a home brew VFX that I’ve been working on over the last year or so. I use After effects, it’s highly labour intensive but I think it’s worth it.

They give the numbers of each finder compared to the actual distance on both holes.
I have a hard time catching the flag with my rangefinder if the wind is not blowing it.
I’ve not found that so far. Have you had it long? Maybe batteries 🤷♂️
How much Gogogo will give you, I will pay double
😂😂😂👍
Shoulda used it on the green...😂
