ok, it just amazes me how link, a boy that has to be no more than 10 years old, is able to save the world from a giant, anger issue moon from crashing into termina in just three days.
When I was younger, I always thought the moon was just sad that it was going to crash into the world and itself die, that is why is it dropping the moon tears. I didnt really understand the Majora's mask power seduction thingy. And before I ever played through the whole game, I remember picturing Link hugging Epona as the wall of fire came toward them... but then that turned out not to be real after a hundred moon crashes while riding Epona before time ran out. Idk if it was a dream or what but it always scared me

His dialogue at the end is the acknowledgment of their fate. The best way to think about it is that the memories of all the people of Termina are inside of the Fierce Deity Mask.” Seeing how the Happy Mask Salesman and the Lunar Children are clearly connected... and therefore so is the MOON itself; it really has one consider theories about the MOON symbol on the Fierce Deity's uniform. I see alot of theories out there, but I always wonder why no one focuses more on what the moon itself represents. The moon seems to connect to all other things mysterious in this game.
The fact that people are celebrating in the final hours is quite disturbing, its like they knew their fates would end up in the worst way, while others believe that's under majora's control forcing the moon to crash, when it drops small meteorites it's like the moon is crying because its corrupted by majora's evil
I love the N64 Moon because it's so low-quality, it just increases the "THIS THING SHOULD NOT BE" factor. In my opinion, the 3DS one looks like Generic Orc Bad Guy Face #36 chiseled into the Moon.

Yes, because the Earth's gravity would pull it in D: Also the Moon's face would be distorted by Termina's gravity, and would be pulled forwards, and the Moon's gravity would pull Termina upwards. O_o
When I was much younger I thought that link could survive the moon falling by either being as far away from clocktown as possible or being deep inside any of the dungeons, and then exploring the ruins of termina. Even being at the bottom of pinnacle rock didn’t work.
If I'm not mistaken the moon falls in real time even during the first and second days, but it's harder to see since it's further away. Also, it "jumps" forward at night of the first/dawn of the second/night of the second/dawn of the final days, but this is usually masked by the fact that the transition cutscene. You can see it however if you're in a "dungeon" location that allows you to see the sky (Ikana Castle) since the game doesn't play the cutscenes there.
It doesn't move as often as you're thinking, it only snaps ahead on Dawn of the Second Day. It starts falling in real-time after Dawn of the Final Day (but it actually doesn't jump ahead at all in that transition)

@@Arbron If you go to a location where you can see the Moon but the game doesn't do the dawn/night cutscene like the Southern Swamp's entrance (near the swamp hut where you go on the tour) or the Beaver race course you can see the moon teleport on the transition from night 1/day 2 if you stare at it. Surprised me when I tried it for the first time lol

It's the where the Moon is shown to be *much* larger in size than it was earlier in the morning, before the sky changes to its purple and red color hues. I like to think that at this time, the residents of Clock Town are aware of how huge the Moon has gotten as the day went by and were making preperations to evacuate the town before nightfall
In the 3ds the sky was purple in the final day in the morning, as soon as its nighttime it starts to get red, when the countdown is about to end, I think the sky would be really red? Idk

I remember reading somewhere that Skull Kid either cursed the Moon with that face to terrify the townsfolk and by extension, Link, or the Moon has that twisted angry face because it's being pulled down against its will (it sheds a crystalline tear if you go to the observatory and look through the telescope.)
You know what really sucks? If you let the moon crash, you start from the scene where you recieve the demu mask. No matter HOW FAR you were into the game, that's where you start....pleasant memories -_-
