Hello. Great video. I do own an ECC5 and it is dead silent, so maybe the prototype it’s a bit unrefined in some areas. The battery guard has a seal and no mud or water gets inside and it’s very fixed. No rattle.
I just took a bright red, Gas Gas ebike to Mountain Bike Oregon last weekend (500 riders). This festival sees the best bikes from most manufacturers. But the Gas Gas I drew tons of looks and questions from bikers & moto guys alike!👍
Hi Sam I’ve been enjoying your latest reviews, nice to see we agree on a lot of things with the gas gas as I mentioned to you when I had the 2 bikes earlier in the year , from the start I can say the full production bike is quite , we do agree on the turning, but the mxc6 does turn quicker, for me the battery isn’t big enough too, I’m not keen on the auto shift either , it’s just not quick enough for climbing, coast shift is good though , and yes needs another mode , plus you where right it does draw a lot of attention, Phil
Yea good this way thanks , think you just nailed it , it is a good bike but not an amazing bike, and there certainly are a lot of good bikes out there for it to go up against, for me as an ex moto x rider it was the branding that drew my attention to these , I genuinely thought it would replace my levo but it’s got to be a great bike to beat the levo for me , still can’t fault mine as she’s approaching 2000 miles.
I'm new to eMTB bikes & I'm a Moto rider having Husqvarna's & KTM's. Also have a Cannondale "Freeride" Vintage acoustic bike which I haven't ridden for a long time. In a couple of weeks I'm pic3RDking up a 2024 Husqvarna Hard Cross HC5 for my 70th Birthday Present!!! Please do a Complete test on the HC5. All your video's have been Very Helpfull. Can't wait to watch your HC5 Test. Cheers I ride in New England USA.
Great looking trails! So many great bikes to choose from these days. Not sure I would like only two modes but I could get used to it with a few rides. Just so spoiled with my Levo I guess.
My mates broke down first ride out, powered itself off with 30% left! Also when you take the battery out it has a 600 sticker on it not 630 as advertised.
it's really almost impossible to choose between so many excellent bikes on the market today . if i was in the market for a new bike (i'm not) i would place a heavy emphasis on parts and service and reliability . it's easy to add new components to customize your bike but not so easy to find easily accessible service and parts that will be available for along time
Yeah 2 modes is bad. 4 is necessary. The way Bosch does it is the correct way. Eco, Tour, EMTB and Turbo all have their purpose. When you are pedaling roads to save power you want to have a very specific mode. 2 is not enough for that. Powerplay also has the same 4 but haven't really pedaled them much. But at this point it's a baffling decision to only have 2 modes.
@@Chwizzy When you have battery range. If you want to save battery you need other modes. If you need to go slower for FTP training you need more modes. If you need to go harder at the same speed as someone with less FTP you need more modes.
That battery cover issue is happening on other gasgas models like the enduro 3.0 in retail models. I haven't experienced it on my enduro 3.0 but i will be stealing that velcor idea so it doesnt mess up a ride.
The bike looks so cool! To anyone coming from the moto scene that look means full on hahaha I hope the brand address all small details and fine tune the production model. Mate your riding a lot!!
@@SamsBikes haha no, I live down south in Tarifa. Going on a van trip up north next week and thinking of stopping around Madrid. Hopefully they open up la pinilla in time too! 🤞🏽🤞🏽
Hi Sam, you mentioned that you like smaller bikes nowadays. Is it because your skils are developing this way or is it the type of trails you are riding?
Probably because modern bikes have gotten much bigger, for example this GasGas in size Medium with 475 reach have a longer reach than the current YT Decoy in size XL which has 469, but the YT are a 6 year old design, you can see this trend on all bikes if you compare the latest bikes with some older designs.
Hey Andre thanks for the question rider, I feel 475 reach is still a big bike in a M, if we think back to my L Specialized Levo SL it had a reach of 455 in a Large only 4 years ago! I just like how I can move a smaller bike
@@SamsBikes Got ya, thanks for your respond. The reason I asked I'm the same size as you and I have two Kenevos S2 and S4, so simetime I prefer the S2 for it's shorter reach 450mm.
Are you still sponsored by Schwalbe? It’s time for new tires and was curious if you had a code? I have a Turbo Levo and although I liked the specialized tires I want to give schwalbe a try.
Yes mate I’m still sponsored but I don’t have any codes because they don’t sell direct! Definitely give them a go! I would try Magic Marry ultra soft super DH for the front and Tacky Chan soft super gravity back
Any bike you spend more time working on upgrading and stareing at than you do actually riding it is definitely overrated. I know too many ppl who do this 😂😂😂
What is the warranty of normally ebike brands? I thought it was 2 years as well

Hey Rick I hope all is well mate yep the trails are running well right now! The SRAM is good but not amazing
The red looks awesome and the Brose motor will definitely help with sells.

Yep not a great bike
if you want the most fun MTB for local loop thats not too crazy which bike would you pick? have the new Levo SL comp carbon now its great.

the flares are functional as they protected the bottom and sides paint?
whenever the comparison is over i wont have anything to see while im having lunch 😵

Cant get that bike in the USA yet.
Sram Auto shift
MX wheels
Good geometry
I think its just the MXC that is a mullet, this is 29/29.
Yep this is a 29er only
one has coil n 29 vs air shock and mullet
Love that jersey, where can we buy one?
Rider let me know if you have any questions!
Would you get the MX6 or this ECC6? I tested the ecc6 its awesome but pretty stiff.
do you prefer the coil or vivid option
Love it .but mullet only for me.
Where are these trails in Madrid mate?

i noticed my levo sl 50NM is same speed as the ecc6 90NM weird

I saw this at Seaotter today. Looks gorgeous. 24kgs!!! That is a porker🐷..😀
