Sadel,, great video. I especially liked this video because it's not your every day problem. Also, knock sensor issues are usually foreign to most people since you don't normally see issues with them. Thanks for taking the time again!
It definitely was my first time as well performing on vehicle scoping of knock sensor circuit, it was cool to see the difference with a good connection and one with poor connection. Reminds me of a load test with light bulb.
You said that you routed new line to the knock sensor, maybe it is a dumb question, but could you help me understand the best way to access the ecm side of the knock sensor harness, I have a P0325 and P0328 code on 2008 Chevy Impala 3.5l and have replaced bank 1 knock sensor which seemed to clear the P0328 code leaving me with a persistent P0325 code and car accelerates very poorly. Spark advance varies from -6 degrees to 40+ degrees. I would like to run new wire but I’m not sure where to begin. Also do not have access to a lift, thank you very much

Nice catch, Sadel! I’m surprised their overlay wasn’t successful (unless they had a poor connection on the overlay wires).
They ended up only overlaying the front (easy to get to) bank. If not I'm pretty sure the issue would have hopefully been found

Knoc kock 😊
who's there? 🤣
Was this a poor pin connection issue?
it was a broke wire at the back of the knock sensor connector
