Morrowind has three different ways to deal with locked doors, so there is absolutely no reason for a character to not have at least one on hand: 1. Lockpicking 2. Open spells 3. Open scrolls
I'm enjoying your replay but did you play the whole game without Mark and Recall? Why retrace all your steps over and over in each cave when you can just recall?

You get so many fucking lock picks from killing Cammona Tong members, it’s ridiculous, I’m drowning in lockpicks right now.
