I kinda miss a Meerkat Pokemon in the region. However, i am very satisfied with the rest of the selection of Pokemon and you most likely needed to choose which animal to use as inspiration for Pokemon.
@@nickdentoom1173 Watchog already fits the meerkat, Pyroar a lion, Zebstrika a zebra etc. all of which I love as is. So I was more interested in doing animal species that haven’t been done justice yet. However all of the Pokémon lines and many other old ones can be found in the Leweka Region.

@Former Child Model All fangames are on the internet and can be downloaded on a computer. Just search up the name of the region or "game" and you''ll probably find a download for it, or just search up "Pokemon fan games" and you'll find sites that have a whole library of them. For a lot of the games you'll need to open the file (use winrar if it doesn't open normally) and to start the game you double click "Game" P.S if the folder has a file named "Note" It's probably best to click it, it'll tell you something like a game-breaking glitch to avoid or something as simple as not having a certain text type available.

Maybe. They've branched into an England region instead of keeping the universal culture they had before. Beginning with Alola as Hawaii. So, they've obviously taken an international approach. Uh, and the Arceus game coming might count as a crossover or copyright infringement lol! Pokemon: Breath of the Wild Area.
I love how ryhorn's regional varient seems to pay omage to the disappearing rhinos of today. With the ghostly horn because of poachers going after the horn and the sad look of a dying species
Sadly, such brilliance like that would probably get struck down by GameFreak or be seen as offensive by people who don't even play the game, but do find new things to complain about in media that doesn't cater to them.
These need to be real games, I would have paid good money for this one to be made instead of Galar Region trash I bet nothing in the next generation nintendo can come up with can top this!!!
The detachment I’ve had with Pokémon over the years is lack of originality at this point and brings me outside the universe as an older fan of the original Pokédex. But this video opens my eyes to all the potential there really is to be made with the creativity and the regions and culture. There’s no excuse for Game Freak to not have original creative Pokémon.
Something I noticed with the Rhyhorn regional variant. I think it’s concept is so good, pulling from the hunting of Rhinos in the real world. You can see its expression looks distraught, and it’s horn is gone and replaced with fire ):
Moondrill is definitely based off the baboon from the lion King and I like it. Seriously, a lot of these are awesome. One thing I never get is why pokemon don't do more stuff like this. Great work!
The pokemon design philosophy of ken sugimori, if i remember correctly, is that the pokemon must look like it could be your friend. these pokemon designs absolutely fit that. this looks absolutely phenominal.
Man, that regional Rhyhorn hits real. It lost its horn and died, like how poachers and Chinese have been killing off rhinos by cutting off their horns. Rhino species have probably the most extinct members. They are the closest to having their entire family of species going extinct.
Also, no, I like Aromatisse. It is unique, not a generic flamingo or plague doctor. It's a cancan dancer, who used to have males crossdress, hence the slight chance of having a male Aromatisse.

Idk how to say it but somehow this is actually what "regional" pokemon should be. you clearly see they took time to extract the designs from real life cultures and local animals. They also actually look like Pokemon too!

This is probably the the most cohesive collection of Pokémon Pokémon, characters, and concepts. This would be an amazing fan game if it used assets from gen 6 or 7!

I'm from South Africa, and this right here is one of the absolute DREAM Pokemon games!! Can't get over all these creative designs; they are INCREDIBLE!!! Thekwatt reminds me of the Thunderbird myth, Gazap and Zapelle I ADORE, Gnusno and Childabeast are AWESOME, Civer and Shivet, Splastro and Dimenphin, Vesshark, OMGOSH Majestehk, the Boltah line, dude, there are just SO MANY THAT I LOVE TO BITS AND WANT TO BE ACTUAL POKEMON!!! Another very amazing one is the Rhyhorn Lewekan form based on rhinos being hunted to almost extinction for their horns. The design with the missing horn with the blue flame and the skeleton forming over its body with the ghost typing... Omgosh, just amazingly executed concept! I'm just blown away.

I really wish this fan region was real because out of all the fan made regions I've seen on Instagram, this is easily my favorite. I love the starters (especially the water elephant line), the Pokemon and the characters. It's all amazing.

I loved this, so creative! As a person who was obsessed with Ancient Egypt and Pokémon as a child this brought back all of those feelings of curiosity and excitement I used to get when reading/watching stuff about the mythology of Ancient Egypt, just with an extra Pokémon twist. Edit: Oh my god I love Heiracat, Basphinx and Nightmarach wow Edit 2: Aloeviate as a name for a healing grass type is probably the best thing I ever heard today lmao

This is the best regional game I have seen! From the concept, art, and characters, this pays homage to the original geography and history of the African continent and Egypt while still feeling fresh. The new pokemon designs are strong enough to not need much overlap with other regions; I would say no overlap needed (but the Pharaoh pikachu evolution is pretty sick). Usually, I only like 20 pokemon introduced in each game and usually play a core six for the entirety of the play through. I would literally have to catch 'em all in this one though. I also love the subtle touches like the ghost pokemon made from the urns they put the mummy organs in. CLEVER!!!
A fan-made region based in Africa and Egypt is amazing and phenomenal. All of these fan-made fake pokemon are amazing, especially the starter pokemon. I love that that the avatar trainers are royalty and the father is actually present in this game, and the pokemon champion of the Leweka region, and that the professor is your uncle and the antagonist leader of the evil team pyramid. My team: Timbiraffe - Grass/Rock Roarschach - Dark/Poison Tortempo - Normal or Arcanine (Lewekan form) - Fire/Ice Roylure - Flying/Steel Dimenphin - Psychic/Water Majestekh - Dragon/Fairy
20:54 this really caught my attention right here sharks followed slave ships because many were thrown overboard this guy really put a lot of cryptic messages in these designs, beautiful 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
16:06 the reason I believe combadge is part bug has to do with some ecology. It seems to be based off the honey badger and not to get into a whole research paper but when honey badgers raid hives they get a lot of honey and bees stuck to them. I think this artist is a genius for incorporating ecology into this Pokémon to give it a unique typing contrasting to their looks.
I can see the Pokédex going “Syratel the badger Pokémon. After years of adaptation to combee and beedrill stings they’ve more or less become immune to bug venom. These intelligent Pokémon even incorporated the honey and hive stuck to them constantly into their attacks.”
Seeing as how Gamefreak seems to be running out of creative ideas. They should just hold a contest. Top 5 or 10 Pokémon ideas get put into the game. The artist gets their name in the credits, and maybe receive half price or full price reduction on the game.

This is the first time I liked the fire type the least! (All of these starters are amazing.) the water type being a genie is genius! Also the Sphinx is the only ground type I will ever have used if this becomes a reality.
15:44 Syratel and Combadge seem to be based on the *honey* *badger* , from the mustelidae family (like the weasel & co !). A very tough animal who is able to fight against hudge predators. Honey badgers prey on small animals and insects. They also eat plants, berries... and, as can be guessed from the name, honey :)
I mean theres already a good bunch of dark skinned pokemon characters (and i think dark skin options in newer games?). Im more interested in an actual pokemon region based on Africa’s rich cultures and geography
@@timurtheking It's nowhere close to the amount of Asian and European influence pokemon has in the games. 4 regions are based on japan while 3 are based on European civilizations with token brown characters like Iris for example despite America being a "melting pot". The brown skin character customization was a good change. But that's all it is. It's nice to see actual black people being represented along with a culture. This is a very good change of pace utilizing many animals Africa has to offer as well. If anything Africa makes for a more ideal pokemon game considering the great outdoors in the actual wild catching pokemon and having an adventure.

Oh, Syratel and Honbadge are Honey Badgers, and Honey badgers specialize in stealing honey from “bee” hives. That explains its bug and fighting-type. Fun fact: Honey Badgers are immune to every type of venom. This is because they feed on all sorts of venomous creatures (honey bees, cobras, etc.).

Gen 7 and 8 had really cool and original pokemon designs actually
The alolan and galarian mons are original, and are based on Hawaii and British animals and myths and whatnot.

Idk how to say it but somehow this is actually what "regional" pokemon should be. you clearly see they took time to extract the designs from real life cultures and local animals. They also actually look like Pokemon too!
I love the ideas and all the amazing designs Africa doesn't get mentioned enough in Pokemon I love the rebirth forms and as a Nigerian this inspires me to make my own African designs Thank you.

This is probably the the most cohesive collection of Pokémon Pokémon, characters, and concepts. This would be an amazing fan game if it used assets from gen 6 or 7!

Okay so this is the first time I’m seeing your channel and dude... Your energy and excitement for these designs and regions is so wholesome and made me smile the entire time! Like, you’re so positive about this and talk so greatly about these designs (as you should!) and it just really made me happy because it’s so nice to just see creators supporting each other and bonding over something like video games and concepts like this
What sad is that all these amazingly talented people created these fantastic regions and Pokemon that Game Freak will now never recreate.

The lewekan rhyhorn is just sad.... i think it originates from the poaching of rhinoceros horns, hence, the missing horn replaced by the blue flame🙁

I'm from South Africa, and this right here is one of the absolute DREAM Pokemon games!! Can't get over all these creative designs; they are INCREDIBLE!!! Thekwatt reminds me of the Thunderbird myth, Gazap and Zapelle I ADORE, Gnusno and Childabeast are AWESOME, Civer and Shivet, Splastro and Dimenphin, Vesshark, OMGOSH Majestehk, the Boltah line, dude, there are just SO MANY THAT I LOVE TO BITS AND WANT TO BE ACTUAL POKEMON!!!
Another very amazing one is the Rhyhorn Lewekan form based on rhinos being hunted to almost extinction for their horns. The design with the missing horn with the blue flame and the skeleton forming over its body with the ghost typing... Omgosh, just amazingly executed concept! I'm just blown away.
amazing dex through and through, but the regional variants are what really got me!! brilliant design choices, I would love to see these come to fruition. Pharachu, Mummeon, Anubrios, and Arcanine are straight up amazing. and I really want a Mystekh

I really wish this fan region was real because out of all the fan made regions I've seen on Instagram, this is easily my favorite. I love the starters (especially the water elephant line), the Pokemon and the characters. It's all amazing.

I loved this, so creative! As a person who was obsessed with Ancient Egypt and Pokémon as a child this brought back all of those feelings of curiosity and excitement I used to get when reading/watching stuff about the mythology of Ancient Egypt, just with an extra Pokémon twist.

I love all the ice types, it's smart to make a lot of nocturnal Pokemon into ice types since in dessert weather the temp drops very low at night.

This is the best regional game I have seen! From the concept, art, and characters, this pays homage to the original geography and history of the African continent and Egypt while still feeling fresh. The new pokemon designs are strong enough to not need much overlap with other regions; I would say no overlap needed (but the Pharaoh pikachu evolution is pretty sick). Usually, I only like 20 pokemon introduced in each game and usually play a core six for the entirety of the play through. I would literally have to catch 'em all in this one though. I also love the subtle touches like the ghost pokemon made from the urns they put the mummy organs in. CLEVER!!!
A fan-made region based in Africa and Egypt is amazing and phenomenal. All of these fan-made fake pokemon are amazing, especially the starter pokemon. I love that that the avatar trainers are royalty and the father is actually present in this game, and the pokemon champion of the Leweka region, and that the professor is your uncle and the antagonist leader of the evil team pyramid.

Timbiraffe - Grass/Rock
Roarschach - Dark/Poison
Tortempo - Normal or Arcanine (Lewekan form) - Fire/Ice
Roylure - Flying/Steel
Dimenphin - Psychic/Water

16:06 the reason I believe combadge is part bug has to do with some ecology. It seems to be based off the honey badger and not to get into a whole research paper but when honey badgers raid hives they get a lot of honey and bees stuck to them. I think this artist is a genius for incorporating ecology into this Pokémon to give it a unique typing contrasting to their looks.

The Roarschach pokemon is so clever. I think its a hint to the Rorschachtest, which fits absolutely amazing combined with the looks of this pokemon!

Seeing as how Gamefreak seems to be running out of creative ideas. They should just hold a contest. Top 5 or 10 Pokémon ideas get put into the game. The artist gets their name in the credits, and maybe receive half price or full price reduction on the game.

Honey badgers prey on small animals and insects. They also eat plants, berries... and, as can be guessed from the name, honey :)

I mean theres already a good bunch of dark skinned pokemon characters (and i think dark skin options in newer games?). Im more interested in an actual pokemon region based on Africa’s rich cultures and geography
@@timurtheking It's nowhere close to the amount of Asian and European influence pokemon has in the games. 4 regions are based on japan while 3 are based on European civilizations with token brown characters like Iris for example despite America being a "melting pot". The brown skin character customization was a good change. But that's all it is. It's nice to see actual black people being represented along with a culture.
This is a very good change of pace utilizing many animals Africa has to offer as well. If anything Africa makes for a more ideal pokemon game considering the great outdoors in the actual wild catching pokemon and having an adventure.

This is incredible, I had the idea for an Egyptian-based region ever since I was a kid and it's so cool to see that someone else had this same idea and has done so much with it

Oh, Syratel and Honbadge are Honey Badgers, and Honey badgers specialize in stealing honey from “bee” hives. That explains its bug and fighting-type. Fun fact: Honey Badgers are immune to every type of venom. This is because they feed on all sorts of venomous creatures (honey bees, cobras, etc.).
So thats how it gets venom immunity. Damn thats cool

I think that's a record in how many fakemons that has caught my eye in one region =P XD
