as the saying goes, the real reason ryhdon learns surf is beacauseto surf u need something to "ride-on"
Underrated comment 😂 lmao
Rhydon the waves
my god
The catchphrase for the Monster Hunter Stories series is Ride On
Damn, that’s crazy
Mikey's rant about some smaller Pokémon having a higher attack than some stage 3 Pokémon made me realize that its not even that farfetched since there are animals in the real world like the Peacock mantis Shrimp which can strike with a force of up to 1,300 PSI per square inch while a lions bite only has a PSI of about 650 to 1,000 pounds per square inch.
you mean .... you mean farfetch'd?
I think you mean... Farfetch'd.
2:33:08 not a “doesn’t make sense”, but a “why does this happen”, more useless than nonsensical
I’m sure some already know, but for those who don’t:
The reason onix is so unbelievably bad, is that it was meant as a “tutorial” boss battle.
Onix has very high defense but extremely low special defense. Teaching you that different Pokémon have different defense stats, and to use the new move your starter just learnt (water gun, vine whip, ember)
The low attack keeps it from absolutely destroying your Pokémon (and seeing how painful onix can be to deal with when you aren’t prepared for it, it’s balanced enough) and also teaches you to not just spam attacks when it uses bide and instead take the chance to use status moves or items.
It’s big and scary and cool, it’s physical defense makes it feel very powerful, and it’s stats are pretty well distributed when considering what it’s role is meant to be. (Tank physical hits & look cool without one-shotting your starters)
Defeating it blind for the first time probably made so many kids feel powerful. Especially with Brock looking so intimidating in gen 1
Exactly. If all pokemon that were weak looked weak, it would be far less interesting.
Yeah I don't actually mind this one.
Onix is pretty great for what its designed for, I just wish Steelix had a higher attack stat or at least wasn't a trade evolution...
I always assumed that "Speed" as a stat is not referring to "this is how fast the Pokemon can go physically" but rather their _reaction_ speed. This is how fast the Pokemon:
1. Receives and understands its trainer's command (or decides what it will do next itself if wild)
2. Orients itself to attack the opponent
3. Builds up the necessary physical momentum/power to engage.
It's entirely possible that Pokemon with dex entries referencing high maximum speeds have really slow acceleration and/or poor reaction times, which would stunt their "Speed" stat.
Tl;dr: Speed should probably be referred to as "Initiative" or "Reaction" instead of Speed.
By that logic, most Psychic Types should be really fast, but most of them who have massive brains like Metagross and Grumpig, aren't that fast compared to Electrode who is that fast because electromagnetism allows it to move like a cannonball and Barraskewda, who is there because it can swim like a bullet. I'm pretty sure it is the actual speed of the Pokemon and Gamefreak just has a few moments of terrible consistency.
decidueye and samurott should have much higher speed then. so its prolly whatever gamefreak wants
It actually is called initiative in other languages, e.g. German
@@TheChiog i wanted to say the exact same thing
I remember using the Synchro Machine, and there some fast Pokémon who move slow as ass (ex. Regieleki) and some slow Pokémon that move pretty decently (ex. Iron Hands)
I wear thick gloves while at work, and often don’t want to take the off to get poo water on my phone, so these long videos are fantastic to just put on and listen to and not have to worry about changing it every 20-30 min❤️❤️

About Tinkaton being "weaker" than Teddiursa:
Though not physically strong, Tinkaton makes up for the lack in Attack with her signatue move, Gigaton Hammer - a *160* base power move. If Tinkaton did not have her hammer, her Attack stat would literally be 75. While Tinkaton isn't physically strong, she's not throwing hands herself... *she's smashing you with a giant hammer.*
Therefore, Tinkaton is still stronger than Teddiursa, just that she cheats by using a super strong weapon - Gigaton Hammer.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk about why Tinkaton is one of the best Fairy-Types of all time. ^w^
Thank you, finally someone who understands, her hammer is hella strong, she herself, is not, but her hammer makes up for it, making her much stronger than she would first appeared.
Da hammer adds the attack of multiple corvknight, my tinkaton Tiffany has one shot many pokemon with da beeg hamma
@NeedAName6 Yeah. To me, it was evident that, if the Pokemon themself isn't strong, then they must have some form of weapon that makes them powerful. Gimmighoul is another example of this, being mostly powerless without enough coins, but after collecting 999 Gimmighoul coins, it evolves into Gholdengo, meaning - to Gimmighoul - money = power.
@ Oh my arcoos Gholdengo is a metaphor for capitalism, NOOOOOOOOO
"I'll turn him into a flea, a tiny little flea. And then I'll put that flea in a box. And then I'll put that box into another box, and I will mail that box to myself. And when it arrives? Ha! I'll *smash it with a hammer!*"
If growlithe was named meowlithe would anyone care if it learned growl. Then I thought deeper gamefreak would have gave meowlithe growl.
Pretty much. Americans don't seem to realize that both names are translated things and have no correlation otherwise. Same with the idiot "Incineroar doesn't learn incinerate" nonsense.
@@youtube-kit9450well aren’t you a ball of sunshine
People would be too confused as to why it was called that despite being a dog
Three hours of MandJTV??
Christmas came early
All stuff we've seen yet. These compilations don't belong on the main channel
This is 3 hours, 19 minutes and 26 seconds… WE NEED A REMAKE!!!
Thats why it says ""OVER"" 3 Hours
Instructions unclear, upping the resolution and removing ads to give you Brilliant Over 3 Hours of Bad Pokemon Logic
I watched the whole thing
@@RubyMuscarialol
I’ve heard that “speed” is talking about “reaction speed”, and I agree with the sentiment.
yes, although there are some weird cases, but i expect the weird cases to just be game mechanics
Pawmot will probably not have 110 speed if speed means reaction speed. It's dex entries suggest it has a slow reaction speed
@@slow_mk8 it does seem in most cases it is reaction speed, but there are probably a few outliers based on gameplay and balance
Speed stat can be thought of the time it takes to actually attack, not how fast it can move. For example, the difference between being able to throw a fast punch vs. sprinting a mile
Thats a great analogy.
Honestly TInkaton is probably using the hammer as a heavy blunt weapon
You know what's the worst pokemon logic? It's that Yveltal, is pronounced ee-vel-tal, when in reality, it should be pronounced, YAHH-VALLL-TALL!!!!!!!
I do love how both the anime and the games reference that Rhydons can swim. Not only was there an episode focusing on a Rhydon that would frequently dive underwater, and be an absolute beast in battle while underwater, but in the Teal Mask DLC, if you go to the Canyon Biome in Blueberry Academy, you can find a Rhydon that can terastylize into a Water-Type.
I love this current TH-cam meta of making long, compiled videos of previously separate videos.
I have so many sleep videos to use. xD
I hope this includes how shroomish can learn drain punch but sawk can’t
What.
@@PlankingPancakeyup. As sawk is my favorite Pokémon, it has made me upset lol
sawk is awesome
but i dont see why hed learn drain punch, is there a lore reason why he should be able to learn it?
There are so many Fighting types I wish learned Drain Punch so they could have a way to heal, since I see Drain Punch as superior to Close Combat, but one thing I still hate is that Blaziken lost access to High Jump Kick after gen 7, and they didn't even have the decency to give it at least Axe Kick in gen 9
I was actually suprised by how ""short"" this video is
0:34 that same teddy bear hits physically harder than bloodmoon ursaluna
Wait what?
You mean the cute teddy bear hits harder then a giant scary bloody bear
@@tadeopena8009Bloodmoon Ursaluna has 5 less physical Attack than Teddiursa.
@@MarthaVsHumanity wow i didn't know that
Makes sense the physical attacker has higher physical attack than the special attacker
37:07 Beardless Mikey jumpscare
the video dropped 3 minutes ago 😭🙏
@@WakasRandomAccount Honestly I just wanted to find the part where Mikey was shaved, fast forward and found it
Hey mikey! I have a video suggestion for you. I see that most of your videos like best starter, best hm mule, best game pick for a region, best pokemon overall , best gym leader etc, only go to gen 8. I was thinking you should make a video in which you update all your videos to scarlet and violet.
I love how i found this video 3 HOURS after it was posted.
Time to draw. I’ll sit down here for 3 hours and listen to this whilst I go, wish me luck
“My mortal enemy Miltank…” just hits different especially when Mikey is the person who said it
2:48:58 Quick tip for those who didn't know yet; As of Scarlet and Violet patch 1.3.2 onward illuminate works like keen eye so now it has a use in battle but only the Lanturn line and Volbeat had experienced this change and technically make Watchog have 2 ability that do the same thing(But Watchog isn't in Scarlet and Violet so illuminate work the same way before it was patch but it's still a horrible ability)
I remember the Hmaz video on this, glad you made one! I think the reason for most of the bad Pokémon logic is Japanese translations. A lot of the move names were changed from Japanese to English and aren’t exact translations. Same how calling Pokemon “it” even if we know the gender is a weird mistranslation, or how some of the Pokemon names aren’t directly translated.
"How FAST is this HAMSTER..?!"
Never change, Micky. Never change.
36:01 Police yes THE NIDOKING RIGHT THERE VIOLATING A LEVEL 13 NIDORAN
Trade evolutions being possible nowadays, especially in Hisui where Space-time Distortions can just spontaneously create Linking Cords, so if a Kadabra, Onix, Graveler, Porygon, Porygon2, etc. happen to pick one up, then that makes sense. I know the original video was made before Legends Arceus, but it's still nice to have a development to that!
3 hour nostalgia banger incoming.
Already added it to my fav sounds Playlist 😂☺️
At the first one, I'm confused to how a pink fairy (more of a demon) hits softer than a small teddy bear. It literally has a huge hammer, that it uses to hit a titanous metallic bird.
10:10 the cows are finally starting to get the upperhoof in the war of the 70s
16:30 Mikey: Gotta catch them allllll!

Mikey: Can these Pokemon breed!
9:26 to be fair, Gary mentioned in the anime that Diglett can pop in and out of the ground at the speed of light
I pay more attention here than to my studies

While I KIND of agree with Accelgor and Escavalier being impossible to find in the wild, I think a dubious exception can be made for it.
Looking at the Dex entries for these two, Accelgor references "discarding its shell" which is something that can easily be done in the wild, and Escavalier references "stealing from shelmet" which is something that can be done in the wild.
However, the complication comes from the Dex entires for Shelmet and Karrablast, where they reference needing to be near one another and experiencing electrical stimulation.
Dunno...I think this is just a weird one all together, but might merit some special consideration?
Mikey is really running out of ideas
"It's weird how this fully evolved psychic type does less special damage than this goofy plant bagworm"
Gallade and Medicham: ...

I think the Pokédex reveals how Rhyhorn racing is exciting:
"It is inept at turning because of its four short legs. It can only charge and run in one direction.
It doesn't care if there is anything in its way. It just charges and destroys all obstacles."
It's thrilling because the jockey is desperately wrestling the Rhyhorn and if they fail to force them to turn... People die! 😂
what a great upload i needed something to watch during this all nighter
My favorite pokemon youtuber casually dropped a 3 hour video and im watching all of it
Haha I was just watching your old wrong colors video as this drops. Love having these compilation videos!
The team I used while journying through the Kanto Region, in Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu.
Pikachu/Parker Pidgeot/Pete Nidoking/Nico
Vileplume/Todd Arcenine/Rufus Blastoise/Sheldon
Bro wake up and choose to destroy logic of whole franchise
Let’s go my favorite videos in one video for in time for christmas
cramming assignments while this plays on the background. life has truly hit its peak.
I think this is first mandjtv 3 hours video.
It's a compilation of old vids so....
There goes the next 3 hours of my day. 🥳
3 hours of rambling about videogames made for children
I love these type of videos I can just work and listen to!
it’s funny to me that you can’t fly on a giant flying scorpion but you can surf on a rat and a metal Dino that would sink immediately if in water
Average Mikey upload includes: 1:Mikey of course. 2: dad jokes of some kind. 3: knowledge on Pokémon. Am I wrong???
Thank you so much for uploading this, I needed new pokemon content to fall asleep to (not an an insult)
Love the video man ❤
Day #9 of asking MandJTV for a new Top 100 favorite Pokémon
3 hours of MandJTV. It's an early Christmas miracle!
Lets go!!! gonna fall alseep to your videos this hot summer.
Like the old meme says: "Who's stronger: The devil (Giratina) or a crab?"
One case of bad logic is that DUSCLOPS LOST EARTHQUAKE IN GEN 9 AND I'M STILL SALTY ABOUT IT
profile pic checks out
RIP Phoebe's strongest Dusclops lol
Wanna talk about a loss of a move that made me salty? Lycanroc lost Iron Tail. Which means my dreams of terrstalizing it to use a No Guard steel type with iron tail are DEAD
In their defence, the speed stats is probably more like acceleration, cuz that’s what determines who hit first, while the descriptions about speed in Pokédex entries are probably more like top speed/max speed
Thank you! I always thought I was the weird one making these comparison and torturing my mind just by thinking: HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE. Some stats are just random numbers I tell ya. And to make it real, they wuold need to make normal pokemon with 800 base stats total. But indeed, some pokemon got completely unreal balance
Under 1 hour gang
Have you ever thought it's weird, AND dumb that Shedinja has any points in it's defence? it's got 1 HP it's either alive, or dead with 1 hit, the Defense makes no sense!
It’s ok Mikey, you can sleep, go back to bed.
It still blows my mind that Pheromosa, an insect with toothpicks for limbs, can hit harder than actual God.
The reason Rhydon can learn surf is because it can Rhydon waves, haHaHA-
Love your videos btw :3
The most aggravating thing is the OFFICIAL COLOR!!!
Can we see pokemon ultra moon as team sky.
13:00 macargo also has the ability weak armor which also questions the high defense
10:50 GET OUT OF MY HEAD
HAWK TUAH
That is stang-zoot weird, but I love it. But not that with Charizard! I don’t see that as a fact, I see that as a prank haha 😛
Even after decades of bad Pokemon logic, its still baffles me how a little radish leaf hits harder than a giant rock snake.
Dragonite a Pokémon that can circle the globe in 16 days has lower speed than pikachu
Because magcargo's shell easily breaks, it shell disperses the impact, then the exposed magma recools give it back its defense.
6:50 haha funny fat cat go zoom
The fact this series has been in the same place since it's origin is bonkers
Great video to fall asleep to, thanks Michael!
yesssssssss thank you mikey for the compilation
and never NEVER NEVER forget. That Shuckle, a little worm in a tiny shell, HAS THE SAME DEFENSE AS MEGA F👾👾👾ING STEELIX
Because Trapinch loses 30% of its attack stat for some mediocre speed when it evolves, I personally treat it like its evolution level is 44 to get flygon at 45. Also Trapinch gets the abilities hyper cutter to prevent attack drops and sheer force(hidden) making it hit harder then flygon with some attacks. it also learns earthquake sooner and learns superpower at level 44
Oh how i missed "Greetings Pokefans !"
My eyes! Michael without facial hair, I forgot such a time existed all these years!
Tinkaton's attack stat doesn't surprise me: I see the pokemon itself as pretty wimpy, while the HAMMER itself is giant and powerful 🤔
1:10:37 the situational thing that could happen is that weezing could get rid of their abilities thus not summoning the super weather
Pokemon logic is the best logic at being illogical
With the tinkaton stat one, I think they did that to somewhat balance tinkaton because can you imagine high lvl tinkaton with a base stat over 80 hitting your pokemon with a gigaton hammer?
This is the only thing i needed, Mikey complaining about Pokemon logic for 3 hours
I cant even comprehend someone being able to talk this long! love ur vids!
it's a compilation of many videos...
Also known as 3 Hours of Pokémon Facts to fall asleep to.
We need popcorn for this one
mandjyv just uploading old videos is lazy
3 hours of peak 🗣️🗣️🗣️
My theory is that the pokemon with low speed stats despite the dex stating otherwise is because they take time to gather momentum, which they can't get while in battle
Rhydon surf because he's good at skipping rocks across water.
Theory: stats are used to measure the base speeds just like the real game but professors just saw the most species of the pokemon at the speed their at, like Galarian Zappos and miltank, miltank can't speed through the mountains, Zapdos just have traits like natures or those massive calves to help them run faster or slower like miltanks fat.
I feel like speed isn't about full body movement (running/swimming/flying), it's referencing the pokemons reaction speed.
