    • @YoungLion1988
      @YoungLion1988 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey john
      I know you were asking Peter but in my experience it's better to leave as much green as possible for airlayer to be successful and then prune after you separate from the parent tree. Best of luck.

    • @peterchan3100
      @peterchan3100 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Leave it alone as the more leaves you have, the stronger the air layer will be.

  • @blueridgebonsai9155

    Peter, one of my chores this spring is getting ready for air layering a few trees. One species in particular that I want to layer is Taxus baccata. What is your experience air layering yews and what is the best time? Various internet sites seem to vary a lot in their recommendations so I beg your wisdom on this. I already have my NZ spagnum moss, plastics film, hormone, and wire so just need any tips you can offer.
    Also my J. larch have started to bud out already since we have had a warm January. How sensitive to freezes are the young buds on larch?

You deserve some peace and quiet and relaxation for a change all that background noise can’t be doing anyone any good.
