I bought my 2013 Honda accord sport metallic gray about a month ago and I absolutely love it. Its quick and amazing on gas. I am so happy I purchased the vehicle over a Nissan altima or a camy se
I would buy this car if I didn't see sooooo many of them on the road. I'm glad to hear Honda is getting it together they had me a little worried for a while.
I love my 2013 Honda Accord Sport, I can't believe this transmission is very good. My Accord is now 223,000 and still drive like new. I also just bought brand new 2019 Camry and I think the Accord transmission is better than The Camry. Even on flat road the on highway the Camry keep shifting the gear as if it doesn't know the right gear. The 8 speed Camry feel terrible, I think previous generation 6 speed Camry much better.
I just bought a 2013 Honda Accord Sport. It's an automatic 2.4 CVT transmission. How is your car doing? Is there any future problems I should know about?
@@anonymousamerican8831 my 2013 Accord sport now already 250,000 km. No issue at all.for cvt reaching that much km is amazing. Smooth shifting transmission. Acceleration is excellent too, very fast car. This engine good too, the first year of Earth Dream engine.
Why would you compare a family sedan to a sports car? I hate when reviewers do that. This is not designed to be a sports car car, this is a family car that has a sporty driving characteristics!
Just clarification, the 'Sport' trim adds leather wrapped steering wheel, chrome tipped exhaust, deck lid spoiler, 4 more horsepower, etc, not ONLY the wheels.
The sport adds more then just 18" wheels. You seriously didn't notice the dual exhaust and rear spoiler? Also 5 more HP, leather wrapped steering wheel, fog lights and paddle shifters. It also adds 10-way power drivers seat...not exactly a "sporty" feature but an added feature nonetheless.
I think you said the accord doesn't have a double wish bone rear anymore. Does that mean it doesn't have an independent rear suspension? Would have liked to see a camera shot underneath the car to see it.
I agree, the sport that they are referring to (Honda) is it's just sporty looking with 18" wheels, tail fin and suspension and dual exhaust. Other than that it is the same accord minus the upgraded features. For me the look is more important than the upgraded features that I could live without. I just with Honda gave more options when ordering a base model.
Great review. I'm glad you didn't dwell too much on all the electronic nonsense they're putting on cars these days. I think the new Accord and CRV have stopped the trend of manufacturers (including Honda) cutting corners on their redesigns to allow for more gadgetry.
A question for the viewers. I have a LX basic model. I really feel that the brakes aren't that good--too much pressure on the brakes to get it to stop. Do others experience this? What reasonably priced alternatives are there. Thanks to all of you in advance.
Great review, question though. I was about to buy this car then looked at consumer reviews and there was a whole thread on the CVT jerking noticeably while accelerating slowly in the 5-40 mph range. Did you notice any of this? Thanks in advance.
Drive an Accord Sport & Accord EX back to back & you will see a difference between the two trims. The steering in the Accord Sport is "heavier", the ride is firmer. than in the EX.
I have a 2001 Toyota Solara V6 200hp. I'm not crazy about speed, but I like having enough kick in the highway. Is this Honda Accord Sport's 189hp enough? I really like this car I just wanted an opinion. I appreciate any input, Thanks in advance.
Angel pretty sure that manual v6 only available in couple which really limits it's use as a family sedan. Even if I wanted to pay more for a v6 I need 4 doors with kids.
Mazda6 looks better but that's pretty much the only place the Mazda beats the Accord. Accord drives so much better, it's much more confident on the road.
The Accord has tighter springs, tighter steering, and paddle shifters that are for the class leading cvt transmission. Toyota Camry's tend to handle very sloppy and loose...much like an american made car. Toyotas are reliable, just not as reliable as Honda products. Too bad, Toyota just does not care any longer.
I think the Mazda 6 Touring would handily beat thus Accord Sport as it has better handling, stops 7 feet shorter, has push button start, a superior 6 speed automatic,60/40 split back rear seats (to the Accord's inferior one piece seat with an extremely small opening) and of course it hands down is stunningly attractively styled vehicle whereas the Accord has Honda's typical forgettable, uninspired, boring styling.
No no kev were the lab from someone who worked in broadcasting at an NBC here in mass trust me lol were the lab we still get the point I would much rather here you !
Thank you for the using a mic that's optimized to help viewers gage the ride noise. It's very helpful!

Just bought it in Red. LOVE IT!
The car has great build quality. Such a comforting drive with the CVT
I bought a sport.its really good. No heated seats, but it has the reverse cam with gridles

@@masteroftricks3059 thanks for the reply! Glad you have had a great experience with the Accord Sport.
How's the cvt holding up? Has Honda improved on its cvt?

I didn't notice any jerkiness during slow speed acceleration. Thanks for watching and the question.
The sport trims chrome is actually darker than the other trims

Great review. Please do a 2014 Mazda6 review in the future. I am very much interested to see how the new Mazda6 stacks up to the new Accord.

Paddle shifters are useless in a CVT
***** You want facts?
Accord is the best.

I think heated seat come standard on sport model Canada version. Mine doesn't have heated seat either

You just might need to change the brakes

It is absolutely enough. Feels just like my 2007 a4.
If you want to feel the kick get it 6 speed manual.

Can you guys review the Mazda 6?
Any plans to review the 2013 Sonata Limited etc.?
our Canadian version has heated seats including in the LX.
The sport trims
Ha. Good call.
what's the deal with the right side video?
It should be that. I have the same car and there is not noise in the cabin.
If they had other interior color for sport I'd buy one. If more fun...go 5 speed !
Heated seats dont come standard on the LX
its sportier

This is 100% correct!
Kevin... You look like Jack Bauer in this video. Your voice is starting to sound like him too.

the standard 4 speakers in the car SUCK! everybody else is putting 6 but honda
nice
Uh, sharper steering? That's unique to the sport model and you didn't mention it. Or the dual exhaust. Bad review.
Ex manual is the best choice out of all trims. Avoid auto and cvt. Honda sucks at those.
haha the sport gets 5 more hp than the ex
Ive been hearing that new 6 is superior

I drove the Accord Sport with the CVT. Didn't like it and won't buy one. Honda needs to go back to a conventional transmission. No CVT for ME!!
