I love that bizarro Jerry has a spot-on Jerry Seinfeld impression. Another great Seinfeld retrospective interview! :)
He was amazing in White Collar. Hopefully there's gonna be a new season in the works.

That's a great impersonation of Seinfeld.
One of my favorite episodes. And a great insight on how smart the audience is. I remember Ron Howard saying that if the writers of Happy Days had the choice between a clever joke that they felt people might not get or going with someone saying "sit on it!" they always went with the latter. One of the reasons Seinfeld holds up so well.

Bizzaro Jerry episodes are some of my favorites.
A smart clock that wakes you up and tells you the weather... we all heard it first from Feldman!!
Have to feel bad for George in that last clip - in a rare showing of humanity, he wants to join the "Bizarro" group and break away from his superficial friend group, but "they already have a George".
Maybe he works with Bookman, library cop!
I totally agree with him about Seinfeld resonating because it wasn't "generalized" comedy. Zach Braff once said that he learned in writing Garden State that the more specific you make a story, the more the audience will identify with it. Which he said surprised him, because he would think it would be the other way around.
I believe there's a line about trying to appeal to everybody, and in the process appealing to nobody, which I believe is taken from a Confucius quote.
That’s exactly right: we were an intelligent audience not only capable of appreciating atypical TV scenarios, but jaded by the setup/punchline and derivative characters.

One of the reasons Seinfeld works best in New York is that most of the country exists in the ''bizarro Jerry'' world of being decent and kind and does not live to snipe, gripe, and constantly whine about their disdain for everything and everyone.
One only has to drive north about two hours out of NYC to find actual good people in New York State. People who aren't so self absorbed and hyper critical.

Why the useless background 'music' ?
Which is weird because Tim DeKay had a very successful lead in 'White Collar' as an FBI agent. Goes to show how many people watched Seinfeld.

I could watch these behind-the-scenes interviews all day...
But as nice as the bizarro guys were--it's odd that they had issues with Elaine just taking some olives. If they're all so friendly, they should be like 'my fridge is your fridge!'.
But they all have manners, above most everything else, whereas Jerry and his friends didn’t have manners. He corrected her, nicely.
Also the way they reacted to her pushing Kevin, she did apologise, they shouldn't have run her out of the apartment
But Elaine herself was infected with Jerryitus, meaning they would ultimately have to reject her. She was tainted meat. 🤣🤣

It's probably required by contract with the musicians' union. It is NBC, after all.
At least it wasn't intrusive this time. Last one I listened to you could barely hear the actor.

He described his character as "nice." But I think nice can be superficial too. A better word is "kind." I remember someone talking about the difference between the two, but I don't know all the arguments.
