i’ve been watching your videos for like 6-7 years and it’s such a comfort channel now
I've realised that i instantly start being interested in boys that my friends like. I hate it, because it's not something that I'm doing consciously. And because my friends liked those guys first, i never even try to talk with those guys because i don't want to hurt my friends. The feelings are real from my side as well (maybe not as deep as my friends' tho), but i can't even tell others about it. I don't want to act as a crush snatcher or worst, if the crush and my friends really end up together, then it'll be awkward if they know about how i used to like them as well.

It talks about having crushes at someone AFTER your friends share that they like them. I think it can help you figure out something. If not, I apologize in advance.
You may have a case of seeing good qualities in a person once they’re pointed out to you. Like personally I can say why every single body type is attractive in its own way.
And that has changed quite a few people’s minds when it comes to their type.
It’s good that you are physically stopping yourself. But it might be best to look into why you’re having these feelings after and not before.
Because if they’re not before, something about your attraction is affected by your friends verbal announcement of attraction.
maybe a sub-set of demiromantic where it isn't that YOU yourself who have to have a trustful bond with said crush to be able to crush on them like in the normal definition of the term but someone you trust has to crush 1st as validation to having a crush on that someone. if you're insecure about dating, have anxiety in general, or are introverted by nature it may be a coping mechanism to the social peer pressure of not being in a relationship or desiring one when it feels like everyone around you feels like they're silently judging (they are likely not but brains are our own worst enemy) and you're a piranha for not wanting it like them. idk know if this helps but it shows you're a kind person for protecting your friends feeling sorry for the heartache though.

Happens all the time - the moment someone you trust falls in love with someone you don't care about you suddenly start seeing all their qualities.
You trust your friends' judgement: if they saw something to love then it has to be there.
You are doing well not acting on those feelings.
With time it should pass (maybe not completely but the more independent you become the less your friends' tastes will influence yours).
If it doesn't fade with time or you find it really difficult to keep in, I suggest you look for professional help. Someone trained to understand this kind of things could help reassure you, help you manage and maybe even solve the problem at the root.
I worked in church nursery. There was a 3 year old boy who toke toys from the other children, not because he wanted the toy, but because he enjoyed depriving them of the toy. I had to watch him all the time.

okay i really wanted to say this: there was this teacher who rlly didn't like me. once i wrote in this little notebook about how much i hated her bc she made me feel like i wasn't part of the class, and she wud make fun of other students who were my friends bc they got a low grade in a test or something. she saw this notebook btw. i meant every word.
anyways so it got to the point where anyone she didn't like from the class, she wud kick out and be moved to another class with some older girls, only one of which i knew. that obvs gave me a bad reputation n i remember crying in the back of the room bc of it. the worst part is that i wud c her laughing and giggling w the other teachers like she didn't cause me and my friends 2 h8 her.
so as i adjusted 2 the new class, slowly i made friends and a lot of the older girls left the year i joined bc they were done for the year, and i became good friends every1 in that class. at the same time, rumours of that teacher and a male teacher were common among the students and having a relationship outside marriage is forbidden in my religion.
that b**ch teacher lets her students use her phone during break to play games so when a text came in from that male teacher...it was over for her. exposed and she left. dunno if she quit or was fired but id like 2 think the 2nd one. good. she deserved it.
