You're a genius.thanks man. I've been working on these and watching videos like this for a few years now but have never seen a leak test hack that smooth. That was great. Big time saver

Mine started doing this last week while i was burning brush piles and cutting trees down to a more easily burnable length. It was lightly raining, so i thoght that may have something to do with it, but it sounds like this may be it. Thanks very much for this video. Also, I like your shop. I see the logs for columns, and our place is all pine and cedar, and the neighbor has a portable saw mill. I think I just decided to scrap the idea of a metal shop building (retired Ironworker here) and go "natural". Thanks again! Lee Butcher

MANY thanks!! I’m only used to working on Huskvarna and other Swedish brands and the Stihl had me baffled as it wouldn’t run after I’d gone through the carb like normal. Took a break, watched some TH-cam vids and then found yours. Went back to the shop and bam! This was it. Saw runs great now, my uncle will be happy

Pete get yourself a set of those surgical forceps ..... You can get an assortment of 10 in different sizes and straight and cropped for about 12 bucks. Money well spent for making jobs like that a lot easier. Instead of just poking about with wires and screw drivers, you van get in there and get hold of things like those little fuel hoses and escaped little ups etc.

Hello. Please tell me for me, why does my stihl ms 260 throw a lot of gasoline through the round screen in front, the top of the carburetor and drowns immediately after starting the chainsaw? New cylinder kit, new carburetor, new impulse hose. Can you help me please?

It’s just to hold the bushing in place I reckon

It seems to happen when they pull on the saw when they get it stuck. Thanks for watching man

It is running strong the only thing that happened was the flywheel dog screws came loose and destroyed my recoil. Easy fix but in hindsight I would have removed the screws and put Loctite on them. It’s not so much of Saws problem Then an assembly problem. the chainsaw was assembled and they didn’t put Loctite on the screws. Still would recommend the saw it’s absolutely my go to saw. have a good one man
