OpenMW is not a mod. Its a fan-made engine for Morrowind. There's no reason you can't have it alongside your orig Morrowind, and it won't mess with your saves. Some people don't like the graphical changes it makes, but the technical changes are all for the better. It doesn't crash, and it makes several things a lot less annoying, including cliff racers.

Sounds like I should get around to getting OpenMW up and running! Perhaps by next episode I'll have the mod installed and we'll be running a bit smoother! I'm sure some of the graphical changes I can look past if it makes the game a bit easier to navigate!
