99% of Americans do not go to the bar to watch the Superbowl or any other sport, watch parties are held in homes usually. And yes we cook this much food for several holidays and other events like the SB. A large portion of the US also smokes meat at home as well.
Luka, the fat you're thinking of is like gristle - chewy, tough, not much flavor. The fat in a slow smoked meat breaks down, called rendering, so it simply absorbs into the rest of the meat. Incredibly soft, tasty, melts in your mouth.
Yesssssssssss❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️Fat rendered nicely not just melts in your mouth but feels incredible on so many levels. When the seasoning and marinade is done well enough combined with the right cooking time: I can't help going for seconds.
Well there was a sign Luka….Prairie Fire in London (I think it’s London). GO and order some stuff. We don’t eat all that…too much food but usually wings and ribs and queso with chips. Looked so good!!! I’m hungry too. 😄

Honestly, these type of foods are served during that event and a lot of other different foods. It's basically a watch party with a ton of food and beverages. It really just depend on who's place the party will be held at.
We usually have a full on spread in our home and invite our friends and families. They will bring sides and/or drinks to contribute to the party. The hosting family does the bbq or grilling depending on preferences and we all watch the game . I watch the commercials and halftime show personally and tend to focus on feeding everyone during the actual game play😂
Your food reaction videos are the best! I plan a huge menu for having a super bowl party, usually consisting of multiple handheld items such as loaded nachos, loaded potatoes, sliders, bbq ribs, brisket, pulled pork, chicken wings, pork belly wrapped jalapeños, stuffed mushrooms, pizzas, multiple varieties of chips and dips, yogurt and chocolate covered pretzels, charcuterie spread, salted candy and spiced mixed nuts, a variety of cookies, rice krispy treats, brownies, and ice cream. Americans love variety! 😄
Uuuuummm where's my invite mama 🤣 Sounds AMAZING! I miss the big parties we used to have in my family. No one to make my candy bar apple pie for anymore (Turkey Day).
You normally wouldn't get this type of spread at a bar or pub. It could get expensive unless you have a large group of friends ordering lots of appetizers. This is a type of spread you could get a house party. Someone would make this type of spread for a Super Bowl party in their home.😊
Superbowl parties are definitely a thing in the States. The menu presented in Jolly’s video is an accurate representation of most of the parties I’ve attended. While some people do go to bars, most parties are held at a person’s home with a massive big screen tv that’s playing the game. Additionally, most commercials are irritating. The Super Bowl is when the funniest commercials come out though. Yes, there is a lot of stop and go in an American football game, but it’s brutal and we love it. I watch the World Cup too, but it’s not as big in the States as our version of football.
Many Americans have Super Bowl parties at their home. Also many restaurants and bars throw parties as well. When they do, they charge a fee to eat special meals. Some of the food seen here may be served. Each place decides on their own menu.
As others have said, house parties are more popular than going out to a bar/restaurant for the game. We've done sliders, rollups, 7 layer dip, jalapeno poppers and other finger foods. I've also been to parties that settled for pizza and wings. Not quite as fancy as Prairie Fire, but still good. Hope you do get to check them out next time you're in London.
Prairie Fire is in London. Americans hold watch parties in their homes if they aren’t at the stadium. I’m not much of an NFL fan, I like hockey a lot more but we tailgate outside the arena rather than have watch parties
2:30 You can have some pretty aggressive fans that are like that 1 person out of 100 that ruins the party for everyone, but it's overall on a more subdued level. I have witnessed fights being broken up while leaving the couple of Chiefs games I've been too, but most of the time it's pretty chill and friendly, unless it's against the Broncos or the Raiders lol. From what I saw for this year's Super Bowl, fans on both sides were pretty cordial and respectful because of the Kelce brothers playing.
I have a Superbowl party every year! Always a large variety of food and drinks. @2:15 my team Raiders has the most rowdiest and dangerous fans in the league.
We eat a lot of this for every game! 😂❤ also, I believe this was filmed in the UK. The owner is from Kansas. BUT the Chiefs are based in Kansas City, Missouri.
My family gets together for the Super Bowl. Everyone brings a few things and I have had BBQ, dips, wings, etc that they had here. Its kind of like a holiday where the family gets together for the game and the food.
Typically we watch games at home with multiple friends and families. Everyone would bring a dish. We would have a menu that included some of these items not all of them. Also we would have ice cold beer a special cocktail beverage and pizza. Playoff games we go all out sometimes catering.
Lots of bars have super bowl buffets for a fixed price with several choices. At home nachos (with cheese or other toppings) are almost mandatory, wings are very popular (usually not homemade), meatballs in sauce, big cold cut sandwiches that you slice into portions, shrimp cocktail or mini crab cakes (here in baltimore very popular) in the center of the country or the south you may have more smoked meats but pork barbecue with cole slaw is pretty common too. I am hungry now.
Seven layer dip is one of the few foods that came out of the '70's and didn't suck. Montezuma's revenge be damned. usually eat chili cheese dogs with a knife and fork. The first couple of bites can be hand held but the dog gets structurally unstable at some point.
Parties for events like the SB usually involve the host preparing some food options and others bringing an additional snack to have a variety. Pot Lucks are the most common, at least for every SB party Ive ever attended. A lot of finger foods though!
The thing with 5 or 7 layer dip is that you can put whatever you like. Don't like tomaro? No problem, replace it with sliced black olives? Dont like avocado? No problem, leave it off or replace it with something you do like. You're totally free to create at will anything that you can scoop up on a tortilla chip
I'm in California. Usually Super Bowl parties are held at someone's house and all of these foods are pretty standard for the party. Prarie Fire looked amazing! I hope you get to go soon.
Yeah that's how everyone reacts when they have rotel dip for the first time lol. It's the best stuff on earth, especially if you make it the right way-- with sausage.
Best superbowl party accouterments: Buffalo chicken wings 7 layer dip Swedish meatballs Pickeled hot links Outside of that (and theres more), the rest are main course items. The previous are what you snack on.
Yes, there are crazy football fans who will "cause trouble" but they are the exception and they usually cause their trouble outside the stadium after the game, especially if their team has lost. I would think very few people hosting a Super Bowl party would have all this stuff unless they were rich and had it catered. But they'd probably have a few of these items (and, yes, maybe pizza too or sub sandwiches, preferably from a good local Italian deli, not Subway).
God, it's a big deal at my house. Mini Italian beefs, wings, ribs, pizza, cheezy potatoes, dips, cheese trays with crackers, and other sides and appetizers. It's so much fun. And of course. Beer! Pot luck style most of the time. It's a good time.
So the cheese dip is usually made with Kraft Velveeta- sadly not real cheese but super creamy when melted. Added to that is Rotel tomatoes ( hot peppers in it) stir in enough milk to make it dipable. The Chiefs are my boys! Lived in the KC area for 10 years and my 3 kids were born there. Most of KC is actually in Missouri. Kansas City Kansas is smaller but each have suburbs making the metro area pretty large overall. You’ve never heard crowds as loud as in Arrowhead Stadium! Gotta have some KC style bbq when there.
Most folks watch the Superbowl from their house (the primary reason some folks buy HUGE TVs..) SO much food. And there are two types of fat - the chewy, tough gristle and the soft, delicious fat. Fat marbled through a steak is what makes cuts like the ribeye so delicious.
When Americans have superbowl parties (or most parties) everyone brings something. So you might end up with brisket, burgers, various salads, sides, etc etc.
In Canada, we'll often prepare about half of these options for a Super Bowl party. And, personally, I have never met anyone who goes to a bar to watch the Super Bowl.
I make a pot of chili, two days prior to the game..after it's done I let it cool and keep in the fridge til time to eat, heat it up slowly...pretty standard other wise, BBQ some burgers and dogs
As a professional editor, I've edited several Super Bowl highlights over the years and have never, ever been to a Super Bowl party or a bar that has anything prepared for a Super Bowl gathering, because I am too busy working. Also, most Eagles and Chiefs fans don't go to the Super Bowl because they are held in neutral site locations and the prices are ridiculous. I use to work with a teenage boy in 1987 whose grandmother won an all expense paid trip for two to the Super Bowl in 1996 and gave the prize to him and his brother. Otherwise, they'd have stayed home and watched it on TV, chowing down on pizza and or wings. Maybe cheese steak sandwiches.
Other than thanksgiving, I’d say the Super Bowl is the largest consumption of food done by Americans in one sitting each year. And that should really say something….
Normally, tickets are sold in what they call blocks to each team. But support could end up next to the Is opposing team supporter. But normally Americans either go to a house party or stay home to watch the Superbowl.
You joked about how the british would just put the cheese sause on toast. THEY DID! well technically the welsh did. Its called Welsh Rarebit and its one of my favorate dishes!
The fans do not tend to be overly aggressive nor tend to be riotous. Probably eat and drink too much in general to be aggressive. Don’t know. Then, there’s all the long commercial breaks that probably tire folks out.
Most cities have fans that can sit beside each other. I always just appreciated that people are visiting our city and spending money in our city. HOWEVER, some cities have mean fans who will dump drinks on, or physically attack, opposing fans. Philadelphia's football stadium actually built a jail inside to handle the problematic fans.
Actually some people do rivalry foods as a mashup of things and it works. Like the Philly cheesesteak with southwest ingredients or alligator sausage. It’s all good fun. Honestly in the stadiums it’s about dueling chants of how loud it can be along with the team gestures battling it out. We don’t riot more like it’s a mutual respect thing that just is. As long as the game is fair and the score is counted right it’s fine. It’s like that for every sport as long as it’s fair we can live with it. We will likely talk about games on Monday anyway about plays that could have been or what could we do if we were on the field. It’s a kind of reflection of fun and respect.
If you went to a bar to watch the Super Bowl, yeah, you'd probably order some snacks. However, that's not the most common way to watch the Super Bowl. The usual tradition is having a watching party at home which you invite friends and family to. Dishes like these would be prepared for the party because it's also a chance to show off your cooking.
Usually do the regular season the home team side has the locals sit on that side and the visitors sit on the opposite side, but at a Super Bowl event everyone is mixed around and some people can get very crazy and violent. So much money wagered.
while you might get a fight that makes the news or etc...sports in america is so much more a family thing than what i have seen in the uk when it comes to football. Maybe cricket or ruby is different? college football and the super bowl is huge party time where people who don't watch come to hang out, watch the game, the commercials, and eat the food.
Nah, you make all of this for your house party. Not everyone watches the game so tons of food & drinks is always necessary 😊 Ordering all this food would be crazy expensive unless you had 10ppl with you lol
If you haven't had a chilli cheese dog, then you need to. It's not healthy, it's not the greatest thing ever made, but it's a joy in life that people should get to experience when they want to. They're usually made from cheap ingredients, are savory and spicy and filling. Doesn't matter if it's fast food or gourmet, always brings a smile to my face. Just not something I could eat often.
Yes, all this food is available at bars and superbowl parties.. Americans like really tender meat with lots of flavor Chili cheese dogs are really popular year round Americans wouldnt use silverware on 90% of this food
Everyone e here has already said it, but yeah. Someone hosts the game for the year in small or large groups and it’s kind of potluck style finger foods and everyone brings a plate.
for me as a giants fan the big one is either cowboys or eagles who are the same division but when eagles and giants play together there always fights between fans
The shameful thing is that in Bristol, Tennessee you might get the brisket and just across town in Bristol, Virginia you'd get the ribs (reference to previous video condemning the Tennessee laws on marijuana for being different from the Virginia laws.).
No this one s the type of food people make for their Super Bowl parties at home! The majority of people host or go to house parties for the game. Not to a bar. Everyone that comes brings a platter like these and it’s a free for all for everyone there.
I'm from Philly/an Eagles fan and unfortunately we have a reputation for being agressive in our fanaticism. Truthfully, we aren't as bad as the rest of the country makes us out to be, and it is mostly people from outside of the city (from Jersey and the suburbs) who do the most acting up. However, most of us are obnoxiously loyal to our sports teams, especially the Eagles.
I am a Redskins fan. I loved it when the Eagles came to town. I never saw fist fights, but the trash talk back and forth was great fun (especially after the game when everyone on the subway was drunk). It was all in good fun. My father was from Reading, so the Eagles were my default second favorite team.
I've subbed/watched for a couple years now and have concluded he keeps the volume low in order to see who really likes him. Because only people who really like him will stick around for the ads, aka "RIP ears" moments It literally hurts, but here I am with max volume wearing ear buds 😂😂
I don't know what they do at other colleges, but at the university where I worked, students are asked to be civil, be polite and help out of towners who come to see the games, and to be sportsmanlike, whether we win or lose. I think a lot of people take that attittude with them when watching professional games. Except Eagles fans. They are nuts. At another school, a Michigan State player who hit a Michigan player, pled guilty to assault. The coach from State apologized to Michigan and his own school. I'm a Michigan alum. Rivalries can be fun and there's always a lot of good-natured trash talk, but physical altercations among the teams or fans should not be part of the experience..
I loved to go to Redskins/Eagles games. Yes, Eagles fans are nuts but it made for great post game subway rides home. I never saw fists fly, but trash talk from both sides was hilarious.
If you go to Prairie Fire, FILM IT!!! If that food was only 2.5 hour drive from me I'd make it a weekender. Let us know if the Jolly boys are exaggerating or not.
Frequently see Brits joke about us uncivilized Americans and all of our dips/sauces. Then, these guys dip everything and invent new combos. Never would have dipped buffalo wings in queso, now I want to 🤣.
When someone throws a proper Superbowl party it usually is lots of different foods especially like the ones in this video...I've never been to one where it was low quality selections, Americans go all out..
Eagles fans travel well. Pretty dedicated fans will travel as a group and sometimes take over the other team’s stadium. My Eagles lost, but they lost to a better team on that day. #FlyEaglesFly 🦅
The superbowl location is picked in advance so even tho it was KC & philly the actual game was more likely than not played in separate stadium in a random city so the only assholes who can afford the travel & tickets are the rich... most Americans won't ever see more than the tailgate in the parking lot but big fans do go & bbq in the parking lots of the stadium watching it on TV or social media but most of us just stay home.
99% of Americans do not go to the bar to watch the Superbowl or any other sport, watch parties are held in homes usually. And yes we cook this much food for several holidays and other events like the SB. A large portion of the US also smokes meat at home as well.

Yep, when it comes to the Super Bowl it is an all day event with tons of good food. We smoke our own meats and go the hog in being pigs at eating.
Yes there are "hooligans"! People have a literally been beaten to death in the parking lot.
Queso is cheese dip
I personally fast for an entire month during the NFL playoffs
Some people make this food at home or go buy it and bring it home for the party.
You are right, you need to try a chili cheese dog
You need to go to a "Super Bowl Watch Party"
Exactly!! The Suburban and Jersey kids are the worst but we aren’t as bad that bad, we’re just very passionate.
Also abit of a family reunion for many people.
Raiders fans are notorious for hooliganism
They were in Oakland. Doubt that will last in Vegas. It came from Oakland culture, not intrinsic to the Raiders.
This restaurant is in England.
Luka, CAN YOU PLEASE TURN YOUR VOLUME UP JUST A LITTLE.
I've subbed/watched for a couple years now and have concluded he keeps the volume low in order to see who really likes him. Because only people who really like him will stick around for the ads, aka "RIP ears" moments
It literally hurts, but here I am with max volume wearing ear buds 😂😂
@@heidileigh7023There are no ads on his videos for me.
Mostly held at someone’s house! Hell yeah tho there’s always a lot of good food
Please go here and make a video of it! That would be epic.
When someone throws a proper Superbowl party it usually is lots of different foods especially like the ones in this video...I've never been to one where it was low quality selections, Americans go all out..
This restaurant is in London.
You have to look for a video about tailgating that's where the real crazy food is at...
One of these days I'll win the lottery and fly you over!!
