I'm stoked to see mixed loadouts becoming a legit strat again, and now that basically all the ship guns actually feel different is fantastic
Bought this bad boy 2 weeks ago cuz of its new sounds!
Awesome!
This might be nitpicky but i feel audio showcases don't need music?
Really cool, nonetheless. Thx for sharing.
Imagine this in VR..... apparently coming soon 😇
Let's gooooo. It's good to have you back, checking out ships in SC haha. As an aside, I heard from Verg9l's podcast with A1 the other day that there is still a LOT of work for them to do on balancing all the weapons. Like, for half a day, cannons were OP, then they nerfed them; the balancing is happening that fast. So we don't necessarily know what will end up being meta. For quite some time, I think. Keep up the great content!
It would be cool if the game let you turn on eye tracking after the game loaded, like maybe turning it on and off again in the menu would make the recheck if it was enabled.
Awesome vid, ngl that intro music i always relate to the Polaris clip at citizencon last year lol
Great video as always man can't wait to get back into this game once it's a bit more stable and some of the content fully releases
hybrid meta makes sense. As with the changes ballistics have reduced damage vs shields and increased damage vs armor, while lasers have the opposite. It'll save ammo to burn down shields with lasers and then start pouring on ballistics while the shields are down in addition to the lasers. Also going hybrid gives more capacitor space to the lasers you do have mounted, allowing more consistency through longer damage periods.
just got vr working so now I have headtracking, going to be flying a lot this patch
How is it a dps race?It looked like you were out maneuvering them
That switch to SCM is so painful and that's in atmo. Going from nav to SCM is like holding boosted bakes. You're going to have to be practically low-fly to feel like you are going fast even if it works for combat.
I haven't had issues with it......yet. but we will see
What’s painful about it?
@@asog88 It more or less breaks the laws physics in the game and slams your ship to minimal velocities faster than any thrusters can. You're just flying along then the hand of god reaches out and stops you. You should probably be blacking out and having your ship ripped apart by that level of force. If we black out from turning too fast going 1400m/s down to 200m/s over the course of one second should have some kind of effect. 🤣
@@Accuracy158 well technically we are not moving at any Gs when doing nav mode. Instead everything else is moving around us. So when we exit our quantum lite bubble, we carry some speed but also not
@@asog88 Yeah we have exiting a quantum jump in the game 😅 But you're not actually in control flying along before it taken from you. It's basically handing you back control.
Didn't they up the ammo count but nerf the hits at the same time?
I haven't heard of any nerfs, but things will change as the new flight model and the game evolves
@@OneNutSupreme It didnt look like it was nerfed lol
Well they nerfed all the laser weapons to death buffed the ballistics but having just ballistics is also annoying because you have to rearm
It sounds like an un-nimble garbage truck. What have they done to my beloved 😞
It sounds mean now
@@OneNutSupremeits actually starting to grow on me the more I fly it in AC
