- I had my 4020 John Deere painted by a neighbor, put weights and Firestone tires on it, got it looking pretty good.

If it is a power shift then spare no expense. They are just great.
@@johnireland6301 I like that transmission
JD 4020s are great!
@@usernametaken5619 I remember being about 11 and a custom farmer telling me they were the best tractor ever made.
Wasn't 18.4x38's and 10.x16's on mine. Really liked it, made 4th 4mph, a real nice field gear and about 22 on the road!! Nice work!
Thanks, I think I’m gonna put 11l-15’s on sometime with those 34’s on the back.
Beautiful!
@@jorgepadilha7429 thanks
Beautiful!
Haha thanks Liam
I hope someone can steam cleaning soon ❤️
I painted a lot of 4020s..... they look sharp when your done!
@@JohnDoe-ot3zd yes they do, a friend of mine painted this. He did a good job.
I left out the footage I had of him painting it, I wasn’t sure if he wanted to be on camera.
I ran a 65 4020 Power Shift with 18.4-34's and 10:00-16's. She was a horse.
@@panders55 I like those powershifts. Maybe I’ll put 10.00-16’s on this one, probly look better.
@@rustyoldjunk Pulled a 135, 5 btm semi mount plow, 20ft Kent spring tooth with a 5 bar harrow. In hay season was a 348 John Deere square baler.
@@panders55 did you have a turbo on it? Ever have any problems with the power shift? I’ve heard they’re pretty tough.
@@rustyoldjunk No, she was straight air induction, the power shift would heat up a little more than it should in 100 degree weather, so just dropped it down 1 grear and that helped. At about 11000 hors on the block and 2 overhauls the motor gave up. Then man I had worked for took an engine from a 105 J D Combine and put it in there and had the Power shift gone threw. His son and grandson still use it occasionally.
@@panders55 so 11000 on the power shift? I heard they’re pretty tough transmissions. We don’t do much heavy tillage around here in 100 degree weather anyway. Reminds me though I need to get the new trans temp gauge put in.
Nice
