Bayern fan, very happy overall with how we’ve been playing this season. Still very fragile at the back and have lots of injuries, but very good in attack and playing pretty fluid football.
@@engespress That's a funny statement to say. Of course it's the millions that are wrong, not you. That ego man. Have you consideres, you could be wrong? 😂
Heeeeey, good video. Bayern fan here. We definitely look better, but it's still the same core of players, really. A lot still needs to happen. Sane, Gnabry, and Coman are inconsistent and injury prone. Boey has played like 3 full games. Goretzka is still doing his best John Cena impression and Manu has transitioned into American Football. Jokes aside, a lot of players on high wages who aren't performing the way they should. The system in itself is fine, for the most part. After the Barcelona game, tweaks were made, and the defense has been fine, but the offense has dried up. Mostly because the only effective players seem to be Kane, Musiala, and Olise. Even then, we had a stretch of goals from Musiala headers and Kane pens, instead of beautiful team play goals. I maintain it's a transition year to feel the system and (hopefully) get rid of underperforming players, which is easier said than done. I think Wirtz extending is a blessing because we have positions that need to be addressed before the board even thinks of shelling out for Wirtz. Not everything is grim, despite what the media will often times make it out to be. Im fairly happy with Kompany, but after last year, I would have also been happy with Berni coaching us.
@enragedbear Yea, people always highlight that we let in a goal after 70 mins with 60% possession, when the actual problem is 60% possession with 15 shots on target and 0 goals.
Shout-out to him. He wasn't the first choice nor hell even the seventh choice 😂 coz Bayern went thru so many managers turning them down it became laughable but Kompany ended up being a good choice. I'm still annoyed (from a neutral POV) that they blew up the Julian Nagelamann project on such short notice when they thought Tuchel would win them a UCL but they eventually stumbled on something good. Kompany still showing some learning on the job here and there in some matches like what Terzić was showing at Dortmund but he's showing that he's very flexible to experiment and try new things without necessarily having pressure on him in the big picture. It's gonna be very interesting to see how they address the succession plans for Neuer and Muler in the near future. They are defs licking their lips at that Wirtz renewal 😂. And since the original succession plan they had with Nubel to replace Neuer is up in the air tne player i would have loved to see them go for was Mamardashvili but Liverpool beat them to it.
I like Kompany and I really hope he succeeds. The only question mark right now is his ability in the big games. He's played I think 4 or 5 big games so far and has 0 wins. Lost against Barca drew against Dortmund Lost against Leverkusen and lost against Villa (although we can argue Villa isn't a big club). If he manages to turn things around in the big games, he sure is gonna become one heck of a manager.
Kompany has a lot of tactical vision, specially since he worked under pep aswell. Hes a great person who’s passionate about football he deserves this, he’s an absolute legend at man city and rightfully so he gave everything to the club he came before the takeover and after the takeover become our captain.
he did get Burnley promoted though, its not like Burnley were already in the prem and KOmpany got them relegated......just thought to point that out....
If not for Bayerns wingers except olise being absolutley horrid at finishing they would be much better. All bayern losses have been individual mistakes/ bayern missing open goals. Rarely have been outclassed , even in the barca match 3 bcm is absolutely shocking.
I think that quite simply there are projects, tactics and managers that work for rich clubs and there are ones that only work for smaller ones, and there's no shame in that. Pep could be bad If he didn't had access to the resources that he had, but he made the most with it. What's strange to me is that Bielsa could do strong campaigns with that style of possession plans even with Leeds, which is a style that we normally associate with richer, more developed squads.
Hi, 10% here. Sané is a.... case for sure. He swings between genius and insanity more frequently than most of us like, and that is also why there are rumours that Sané might be let go as a free agent for next season (big grain of salt, no clear direction as of yet) Overall, the performances have been way more enjoyable than under Tuchel, and press conferences/interviews are also less of a chore because Tuchel can't b**ch about his holding 6 or about criticism from "experts"
As a Bayernfan, let me tell y'all that numbers really don't tell the truth here. Last season we had more game luck than I've ever seen from any team ever, ever leading to those 35 points. It should've been around 25-27 max, if we talk about earned points. This season we're as unlucky as one can be. Games like Leverkusen (twice) and Frankfurt are games you win in 99 out of 100 cases. This team is worlds better than last season - and last season's first half was worlds better than it's second so...
14:10 Leroy has been playing like it’s his first time playing football. He’s been great sense he joined Bayern but this season he has completely lost it
I called it. I knew he would be a top coach at a top club. He played the way he played with Burnley because he believed in the philosophy and was thinking big picture (not about Burnley, for his career at a big club)
Sane, Gnabry, and Coman are all making 15-20mil / year and not living up to it. The question in Munich isn't will they sign a new attacker, but rather who will be sold.
As one of the 10% of german viewers and a Bayern fan, your analysis is great! I think Kompany is doing a fantastic job. The only problem is the high line. I would rather concede 10 chances with 0.1 xG than the 4 chances each team gets against us with 0.25 xG. That’s the only concern I have when we play against stronger opponents in the CL. You could’ve also mentioned that Kimmich is having a world-class season, thanks to having a true DM like Phalina and Pavlovic by his side. The only piece missing is a world-class left winger. Still, great video and servus from a small suburb around munich!
I always wait till the next season to see how good a coach is. Bayern is reacting to last seasons standards. So we'll have to see after everyone knows what to expect from cpt viny
I describe Sané as the most moody player in the world. if he had his favorite cereal, he turns into Arjen Robben for a game (or a half), but if he's not in the mood, he's shit. Unfortunately, his favorite cereal is rarely available on stock. so you each, he's our Sancho when Sancho was at United.
True Sane is not anymore at Bayern at the summer. 100 percent. Also Gnabry. Maybe Coman because of the money. Olise is the future on the left. Maybe one more season with Coman until they find a proper LW. Coman is good but too expensive and too often innured, same with Gnabry
How does one become a member? Will you do a patreon instead? What is included in this 🤔. I like your take on ball so would love to talk more about it too
Vincent Kompany has done a great job so far over all, however there have also already been several questionable decisions from his side. For example, I don't understand why he insists on keeping Kimmich in the centre and why they let him keep taking every free kick and corner. In my opinion, Bayern would be straight up better with Kimich as inverse right back (think TAA for Liverpool) and Laimer in the centre as just a workhorse, as someone who just keeps chasing the ball and the opponent, if needs be even into the dressing room. Kompany has also been rather poor at giving young players (except for Pavlovic) game time. Even now with Kane injured he won't start Tel, which is absolutely mind boggling. Bayern still haven't addressed the fundamental issues they have in their squad. They have way too many players commanding waaaay too much money for too little performance (Goretzke, Neuer, Coman, Gnabry, Sane). Speaking of whom, I truly think his Man City performances were outliers. Sane is just not that good. He's a fair-weather player, who is completely invisible as soon as the going gets tough.
His style of football works now because he has brilliant players he was stupid to try and use that style of football with championship players in the PREM
Unfortunately sane has been inconsistent for Bayern sometimes he helps on defense and it’s more than perfect , sometimes he doesn’t try . He also has no right foot
as a bayern fan, kompany has failed to win a single big game. (barca, dortmund, leverkusen, villa, frankfurt) except psg (got a red). still not convinced
I’m not a Bayern fan but I watched some of those games and the only ones that I would really blame on Kompany is Barca and Frankfurt. Against Villa the attacking patterns were pretty stale but it should have been 0-0, the loss is on Neuer. The first Leverkusen game absolutely should have been a win if the players weren’t dogshit at finishing chances. And Bayern looked good in the second game against Leverkusen even with 10 men, another one that is probably not a loss without Neuer fucking up.
@@MukeFunky yeah but I think in that case it’s more about the players than the managers. Clutch players like Bellingham Vini and Rodrygo bail out Ancelotti. Players like Sane Coman and Gnabry who miss chances made Tuchel/Kompany look worse.
Not really. It takes historic runs like leverkusen did to stop bayern walking the bundesliga. Bayern can win the league with a ham sandwich in charge half the time
Dortmund almost won the league the season before with crap football. Just a win vs Mainz at home would have been enough. It's not like that you must reach 90 points to beat Bayern
