I'm an old guy, and I'm marveled on how mission fields have expanded to social media like TH-cam and sports forums. It's amazing how many people we can reach without leaving our front door. John, I grew up bank fishing with my father, and later with my older brother. I was happy, but eventually I wanted more. I fished on Lake Cumberland with my father-in-law and a closed faced spinning reel. As time went by I bought a Daiwa bait caster, and learned to use it. Later I bought another bait caster without magnets and learned to through baits well. Over the years I fished alone at Lake Lanier with my used boat. After ten years I fished with my sons, and no longer made the trip to Kentucky. I loved catching big bass, but it didn't equal catching red breast with my sons. Keep doing what you're doing, and don't be too professional. I'm 75.
Can't believe you are at 1,000! It tells me two things................I've been watching you a long time...way before you even quit your HVAC job. Second thing it tells me is that I probably watch too much TH-cam LOL!
Been watching the channel for the last 5-6 years. I still enjoy these basic bank fishing or wading videos the most. My first topwater catch was also on a popper this year, found it stuck in some muck at the edge of a lake. After a cleanup and new hooks/split rings it was ready to go 😎

Congrats John. I grew up watching Bill Dance, Roland Martin, and Jimmy Houston. When I moved to Georgia, I started watching O'Neill Williams. But, dude, you by far are my favorite fisherman.
I had some TV exposure to Bill Dance, Jimmy Houston, and Roland "SON!" Martin. Also watched at least one video on here, of Orlando Wilson. Remember him? The video I saw of him, was one where he and Brother Jerry "Ooooooo...shoot this thang" Clower! They were out, fishin' for Bluegill, and, fortunately for them, the Bluegill were on their beds, right around spawning time. They caught a big ol' mess of 'em, too. Ya had Jerry askin':"Orlando. Orlando! Are you ready for the Judgement Day? I don't remember if Orlando answered him or not, though. Ol' Brother Jay-ree was a very Devout Christian, and a Deep-Water Baptist, to boot. He didn't believe in sprinkling some water on somebody's head, and pronouncing them as being baptized. No, Sir! He believed in dunkin' 'em under! Well...to me, those were the good old days. Times were much simpler then. You have a great night!

I was in Hospital with Pnewmonia for up to 3 weeks each time. i have been sick with other Problems too. so , for past 7 years, You have been my Eyes and ears for having a 20 Minute relaxation Fishing time. And Yes. i used to take that Fishing Time I used to have for Granted....Never take it for Granted! I am also Glad you Put time back into Your church and the kids.. I've been back fishing for two years now and my wife goes along alot of the time. I know for a fact there are many more people your videos have helped along the way.

Congratulations on 1000 videos! I am finally getting out to fish a little and walking better, seen a few water snakes and got a few bites, didn't catch anything. Got to see the bald eagles and osprey fishingn first time seeing both at the same time and it was a lot more osprey than eagles, not sure how many of each but counted 11 osprey and 8 bald eagles at one time, didn't know an osprey nest was close to where I was sitting. Had a good day out for the first time in months. I like to watch your videos to the end, the scriptures are a nice way to end the video.
My favorite video is still that one where you caught a big bass and you had your intro music playing and it went perfectly when you set the hook. You should do that more on your creek adventures without the kayak.

John honestly pal your videos like this are my favorite. And man that Lews combo is great looking. Also using that one thing that I tried on my Crappie rigs is using the Japanese braid the size I use is .6 goh. And I’ve noticed better bite detection and super long casts with very light lures. And honestly the Verses you share at the end of your videos means a lot to me. And honestly your channel is an inspiration to me.

Got to see the bald eagles and osprey fishingn first time seeing both at the same time and it was a lot more osprey than eagles, not sure how many of each but counted 11 osprey and 8 bald eagles at one time, didn't know an osprey nest was close to where I was sitting. Had a good day out for the first time in months. I like to watch your videos to the end, the scriptures are a nice way to end the video.

My favorite video is still that one where you caught a big bass and you had your intro music playing and it went perfectly when you set the hook. You should do that more on your creek adventures without the kayak.

John honestly pal your videos like this are my favorite. And man that Lews combo is great looking. Also using that one thing that I tried on my Crappie rigs is using the Japanese braid the size I use is .6 goh. And I’ve noticed better bite detection and super long casts with very light lures. And honestly the Verses you share at the end of your videos means a lot to me. And honestly your channel is an inspiration to me.
RedBreast and RedEar are by far my favorite panfish to catch!
