John, you're killing me. All the different rivers, streams and brooks that you fish from are just beyond beautiful. You have the best back yard in the world.
I just witnessed the fish whisperer in real time absolutely amazing!!! John thank you for putting yet another smile on my face and enjoying a true set of creek fishing at its finest. Your emotional reactions after every hook up is priceless and pure joy to watch. I don’t know if you answered this question yet but I was wondering would you do any catch and cook on your videos, but that would be the icing on the cake for me? Tight lines sir take care and God bless.❤
This is the best fishing to me. Just did this Sunday on a very similar creek. Caught fifty plus fish and one 2.5lb smallie. Had CCR playing to keep me company cheers . Using a tiny jig with soft white plastic worm
John have watched almost everyone. If not everyone of your videos, and that one was just Top-notch from beginning to end. What a wade! That's what we hope for every time we go out.
John, these are the videos I love. I grew up fishing streams and creeks and although I have fished many great places all over the country in my life, my best memories are my "Creek Adventures". Never forget those great times you find wading a small clear creek.
There’s something magical about catch and release. Watching the fish swim away after a good fight is downright satisfying. Keep on fishin buddy, me and my boy love to watch these videos on the rainy days.
Last week I fished downtown of the Eno River in NC. In about 3 hours wading it I caught about 50 fish. 6 large mouth bass on the Ozark whopper plopper like top water, 2 others on an Ozark watermelon soft plastic worm. Best day I have ever had. People not fishing it as much anymore. Well.more fish for me. Thanks for the inspiration. My wife is going to get one of your creek hats one day, will be my new fishing hat
Fishin...and takin' time to cool off by takin' a dip...and catchin' plenty of fish, especially catchin' that big Bass, that looked like it was at least 5 pounds... That's a great video! I'd say SOMEBODY had a great time! God bless you and yours!
If the urban ditch video can get a million views, this one should get a lot more. These videos are so much fun to watch. You might try Berkeley Fireline in four and six pound one of these days. You will be amazed how you can cast with that tiny braid.
Liked this so much. The first time I had to watch It again. Skipping stones and having fun underwater footage was great. So many quality fish. Taking a plunge in a deep pool dude. Awesome!!!!!
Love the intro on this one, John! Love the content and excitement you bring to the channel. As a small town Virginia guy who lives away from home, this does wonders for me!
Yes sirrrrrrrrr this is why we come here. Spinning reels and underwater release cams and chill intros with good tunes. Love this video John and good job on that fatty man that was a FIGHT!!!! Congratulations brother!!!!🤘🤘 Thanks for the upload. I did a video on Kayak fishing with a cane Pole and a fat Catfish broke my cane Pole it's a common little video. Love u dude keep it up brother!!! One of ly best friends grew up in East TN so it's a small world knowing ungrew uo here near me in BG.
Caught a monster smallie in my backyard creek this morning it was awesome! Fun fight on the ultralight! Love catching coosa bass one of my favorites! Awesome video brother!
Dude you said that ting was huge, 😮 the excitement is real! Love it!!! I'm ready for some Spotted Bass action!!!!!! Sound the trumpets so Alex knows.....
OMG, what a catch!! Extremely jealous right now. I tend to switch flies all the time, especially when the bites stop or I moved a large fish and it stopped going after the fly. Just one small change makes all the difference sometimes. Keep it up, you're living the dream!
John check out the Daiwa Tatula 100 or 150 they have what's called a t-wing system for casting. When you cast a oval flips down to cast through instead of a circle that pops back up when you engage the reel. It helps on backlashes it lets the line flow off the reel without having a small opening to go through. Have the 100 on a 7' matched Daiwa Tatula Elite rod Med Reg. and the 150 on a St Croix mojo bass 7'5" MH fast. One for lighter lures and one for heavier lures.
Brother, you make some awesome casts with that spinning rod. I would have gotten hung up in some of those trees several times lol. May the Lord bless you in all your ways brother 🙏🙌
Great video John that one would have been great for one of your tournament's john I am so amazed how you catch some of biggest and greatest bass in in so many small creeks really enjoyed it thank you
John that is one of the best wading creeks or streams that you walked thru, that was one big spot you caught, love spots they fight good, I bet that water felt great!👍
Have to let us know at the end of season how you like your new reel! Wow, you definitely were not kidding when you told Ethan you caught a huge one! Nice catches throughout video!
Hey big bro I got me a new shoalie. I appreciate the help and insight. Hope to get a maiden voyage in soon. I also hope u and the family gave a very blessed week. Gotta lick my wounds after spending the money and get my hustle on quick like. Should be out next week sometime. we been wet here (southwest Michigan) so the rivers are pretty high. We actually had group of 20 kayakers get into a rough situation and needed rescue. Thankfully all is accounted for and they were even able to recover a few kayaks because several were abandoned. Thank u again. Hope u been able to fish and catch some good ones. Keep up the great job, love your vids. OMG that bass bro was a stud and the jumps were so beautiful on camera.
I enjoy watching your fishing videos. When you weigh them it usually takes the guesswork out of how big they are. You know the old saying be true to thyself
Cool video bro.. man what an Alabama. They're invasive where I live on the Flint. Glad to see you catch a big un where They're supposed to be😊. Woo. Fish on.
I see where you listened to me a couple of years ago and put some tape on your rod to serve as a rude ruler! Well done buddy! By the way, those fingerlings were nibbling on our because you probably just go through eating a bag of cheetohs didn't you! LOL. Excellent video John. This video style is precisely why I started following you about 6 years ago. I have loved your channel since. Keep up the great video content John. Holler when you are coming to Richmond. Still owe you some tacos!
Know you like to get budget items from Wal Mart. Was getting some snacks from Ollies, noticed they actually have some fishing stuff. Rods and reels are really cheap, but decent selection of lures and lines - good brand names and knock offs, Cotton Cordell, Zoom, - some nice packs of small spinners. which I'm going back to get. Rally decent price on braid line.
What an incredible trip brother. Definitely one of those special days that keeps us going back for more. We had an awesome spring and early summer with the cicada hatch but its hot and fishing has settled into normal summer patterns. Appreciate the childlike enthusiasm, I may be getting older but a 2 pound or better creek or river fish always puts a smile on your face. Thanks for sharing John. Blessings on your next adventure brother 🙏
There’s a river that borders Florida and Georgia, the St. Marys. At the head waters it’s similar to your river…but the water is red tented, and so are the bass. John, any recommendations on streams/creeks in the Chattanooga area to check out for kayak/wade fishing? I moved here recently and I'm still trying to find some good moving water. The North chick from hixson pike to the tn river is all I've floated so far.
That's how it always happens with me if I catch a giant I either forgot the scale or the batteries went dead! I actually need a scale but haven't bought one because I really want the Bubba scale but don't want to spend the 200 for one lol....FishOn....Jim
hey I just wanted to comment and say I love watching your videos it always helps me learn new stuff I just wanted to ask a question on how you feel bites in rougher and more fast paced streams and water if u have any tips I would love to know thanks for doing what u do.
I’ve been watching for a while now and I’ve gotta ask, what is a Cossa Bass. Love your channel, I subscribed, like, etc. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
It’s a Coosa Bass. Haha. Hard to describe without looking it up. A different black bass species also called redeye and only live in Georgia and Tennessee
Not to do with this video but since you are in east Tennessee and we fish the same size rivers in the area like the upper Nolichucky, upper Holston, Clinch, little Tennessee where they are max 4-5ft deep. Fishing for smallmouth, If you had to choose 3 lures and you could only take 3 what would you choose? I try to keep track of which I catch the most fish on, I know it comes down to which I have the most confidence in and which I fish the most. At this point the Dark Sleeper or a paddle tail, underspin and chatterbait are my top 3. I mainly fish above or below swift water and very little in flat.
John, you're killing me. All the different rivers, streams and brooks that you fish from are just beyond beautiful. You have the best back yard in the world.

Awesome!! It's a blast wading like that and catching those thick bass in those small rivers and creeks!!
Amazing watching that catch in such shallow, crystal clear water.
That was a monster Spot for a creek that size....amazing man. Thanks for sharing.
Fishin...and takin' time to cool off by takin' a dip...and catchin' plenty of fish, especially catchin' that big Bass, that looked like it was at least 5 pounds...

Great 5lb spot. Those big Coosa bass are making me want to catch some Coosa bass. I haven't been fishing for them in a while.
Nice Action Packshun 🎬 fishing 🎣 Bro. John 😊 very nice 👌 👍 👏 ❤
Brother, you make some awesome casts with that spinning rod. I would have gotten hung up in some of those trees several times lol. May the Lord bless you in all your ways brother 🙏🙌

Beautiful water! I’m originally from the Hawkins/Sullivan Co area…I really miss being able to fish areas like this.
That looks like so much fun being able to wait out there like that and catch those fish.
That was fun to watch!!
Great fishing today.👍
Awesome video! Really surprised there were no rockbass!
Amazing how that huge bass was surviving and living in that creek!
Outstanding man
Awesome fishing bro
Awesome Alabama bass man!
Another great video...good job
Love you videos dude
If you put that hand/minnows part of the video on TikTok and labeled it “corpse hand surrounded by scavenger fish” it would go viral.
What size hook do you typically use for smallies? I’m addicted to your channel and constantly recommending buddies to watch.
From 8:13 to 8:17 I was cracking up 😂😂
Nice fishing 🎉
Nice bass 👍😎
great video and great fishing!! look like you had fun! have a good day and week. thank you for sharing.

that sounds very interesting
My best days fishing has always been in a low water drought
Wow tgats abd spotted bass look at the top wow.
John, any recommendations on streams/creeks in the Chattanooga area to check out for kayak/wade fishing? I moved here recently and I'm still trying to find some good moving water. The North chick from hixson pike to the tn river is all I've floated so far.

That was an awesome video man. What knot are you using for braid to flouro?
NICE EN'!!!
You should try to stock it back there

What do you think of the slx fishing rod? Great content 👍
Cusa bass? Never heard of that bass, Tennessee hybrid?
hey I just wanted to comment and say I love watching your videos it always helps me learn new stuff I just wanted to ask a question on how you feel bites in rougher and more fast paced streams and water if u have any tips I would love to know thanks for doing what u do.
No need to measure a weigh man. Just soak it in. Trophy experience logged in your memory is enough. Thanks for sharing
Tge yumdinner is the way go.

Spinnerbait, hellgrammite and yum dinger
this kind of fishing puts you closer to god than anything you can do. Now that is just my personal perspective but I feel it holds true with others!
Do you use FG knot for leader?
double uni
Thoses mindowes are keep.you clean
What set up is that?
