  • Hello everyone! This video shows you how easy it is to put your C7 into service position. It only takes an additional 10 mins to get into Service Position after removing your front bumper. I did this so that I could swap Crank Pullies on my car, and it made the job SO much easier. I had all the room I could have ever wanted for the job. Let me know what you think, or if you have any questions.

    This video really helped me out on my wife's A7. I watch the bumper video too. The 2013 A7 Is very different but actually easier to remove the bumper.

    Thanks for making this video. I've been putting off a crank pulley install forever as I wasn't exactly sure how to put car into service mode. Already familiar with bumper removal, so this was the missing piece!

      Awesome! I'll have my crank pulley diy up soon as well

    Hey, I think I have a good idea for a video that could help a few people and myself out. I'm about to pick up a C7 and was wondering what special tools you use the most and any new C7 owners should look at purchasing. Just thought it would be a good, and helpful, video :)

    I wonder if the is gives enough space to remove the subframe and lift the engine and trans up to do a cat removal

    Also this same for the c7 2.0 litre engine

    How does this relate to the service position? I thought service position was for torque specs?

    • @AudiC7Owners
      @AudiC7Owners  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Service position is exactly what I showed in this video. It allows better access to the front of the engine without complete Disassembly of the front end

    Hey bud. I’m in Australia. I see you have a catch can on your A6. I’m wondering if you have done a video installing it. Mine is Biturbo diesel but should b the same.
    Many thanks for you vids mate. Have been very helpful👍

      Thanks man, but that isn't a catch can. That is a reservoir for my supercharger coolant loop bc I have it separate from the engine coolant loop. But I will be adding a catch can very soon.

    Do I see a catch can on the bottom right corner?

      Nope. You see the coolant reservoir for my divorced set up

    • @AudiC7Owners

      Nope. They aren't a common failure point on the 3.0t cars

    I just did this and after everything was all said and done, the hood sits slightly lower than the fenders now. And tips for this?

    • @AudiC7Owners
      @AudiC7Owners  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The hood & fenders shouldn't have moved at all. Did you undo anything apart from what was in the video?

    What do you use to lift up the car

    • @AudiC7Owners
      @AudiC7Owners  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A low profile floor jack from harbor freight. Trying to save for a quickjack

    • @AudiC7Owners
      @AudiC7Owners  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You mean slide away from the car to give you more room? There has to be something you missed. Check all of the headlight connections and all your bolts again.

    • @nanoramos6806
      @nanoramos6806 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AudiC7Owners yes my bad, I got all the bolts out the ones for the lights the 3 on the front on each side even have the extended bolt in both the middle bolt holes it slides just not very much seems like the bottom doesn’t want to slide out at all

    • @AudiC7Owners
      @AudiC7Owners  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had to lift it a bit to pull it out. But it isn't going to come out a foot or anything like that. Just a few inches. But it should give you plenty of room to do what you need to.

      @@AudiC7Owners what size triple square did you use for the crank pulley bolts

    • @AudiC7Owners
      @AudiC7Owners  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What I used on my car will likely be different on your car. I was removing an aftermarket pulley & then installing a different one. If you have a triple square kit then you should be covered. I think I used M12 though, maybe M10

    What is the purpose of the extended bolts?

    • @AudiC7Owners
      @AudiC7Owners  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      To keep your front end from falling off after you unbolt it
