    One thing to note that I didn't cover in the video is that when you disconnect the PWM wire, it will throw a soft code under Engine Faults. Don't be alarmed when you see that in your scan.

      What is the code it will throw? I finally got a scanner for my A6 I recently purchased, and it's throwing a code for the Coolant Recirculation pump B10D031, but I can hear the pump running.

    Hey just so you know, the top black plastic on the pumps can be rotated however needed via the four torx screws. You can leave the bracket in the spot that it fits correctly, and rotate the top plastic portion of the pump so the discharge is facing whatever way is needed.

    It's a really great video.
    As the owner of the C6.5 3.0TFSI, I confirmed that there is an auxiliary cooler in a similar location. However, the C6.5 can only be accessed by removing the bumper.
    I have a question.
    Can you explain to us in detail the role of the auxiliary cooler?

    • @AudiC7Owners
      @AudiC7Owners  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The auxiliary cooler is there to just aid in the overall cooling of the cooling system. We have actually gotten one sent over to MercRacing to set if it is worth designing an upgrade for, so we are patiently waiting to hear about that.

      @@AudiC7Owners Hey there! I have seen a lot of people remove the auxiliary radiator and it lowers IATs as well as dropping the recovery time. They say it is a common choke point in the system. Have you looked into or done this mod? I am debating doing it myself when I install my Merc S6 HX. Thanks for the vids!

    • @AudiC7Owners
      @AudiC7Owners  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you check my video about divorcing the coolant system you will see that I deleted the auxiliary radiator (bypassed it actually).

    Hey man! So i installed my cwa100-3 today. I had the pump mod done on my cwa50 to run at 100%... i actually put it on a switch. Well today when testing the 100 out, i noticed really high temps, i flipped my switch back so the pwm wire would be active and it cooled alot better.... 20° over ambiet vs 30.... have you heard of any wonky wiring when adding the cwa100 to b8.5 s4's? Not sure why the cooling wouldnt be as good with the pwm wire cut vs not cut.

    • @AudiC7Owners
      @AudiC7Owners  ปีที่แล้ว

      The only thing I've heard about is that the pwm wire being active can cause the pump to reverse it's operation (run slower under wot).
      So maybe with your switch & the new wiring harness you are risky engaging the pwm wiring thinking you are turning it off?

    • @1bads5
      @1bads5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AudiC7Owners That was my only thought. I did just install the plm 4 liter resovior tank... maybe it just takes forever to cool it back down. I just know as soon as I flipped that pwm switch the Temps dropped

    What’s good bro I have a b8.5 s4 and was told I gotta change my intercooler coolant pump .. was this deff worth the upgrade ? Have you noticed and problems / codes since you’ve been running the 100? I’m stage 3 unitronic with a revo hx. I noticed today when I opened the hx reservoir there wasn’t any coolant in it.. and usually there is, so I’m assuming the pump actually is bad right . I’m a novice when it comes to the mechanical stuff and I think I can tackle this job myself, only thing that kinda worries me is the electrical part with the changing around of wires and the potential for the pump to go bad pre maturely .. but if you haven’t had any issues .. I’d love to hear some feedback

    • @AudiC7Owners
      @AudiC7Owners  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey man! I haven't had any problems at all. When you disconnect the pwm/signal wire, you will get a soft code but not a CEL.
      If you think your oem pump is bad, you can check it out by pulling back your fender liner and listening to the pump when you open your drivers door. That will activate it & you could hear coolant flowing.
      The cwa-100 is definitely worth the upgrade. It cuts recovery down significantly.
      If you don't see coolant in your hx then that means it hasn't been fully bled.

I seen you mentioned that so there would be no need to raise the car? But as for getting all that changed I wouldn’t be too sure. @@AudiC7Owners thanks or the input. Im starting a rebuild project next month. I had a front drive side hit so the pump may be in the cards either way.

      @@AudiC7Owners would it be just fine with only a coolant pump upgraded for a stage 1 tune or you still suggest the upgraded heat exchanger in that case ?

      Heat exchanger first, then upgraded pump

    How much lower did ur IAT’s get?

    • @AudiC7Owners
      @AudiC7Owners  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      About 5-7 degrees. But the real benefit is speed of recovery.

      @@AudiC7Owners I’m hoping for lots lower IAT’s. I was seeing 195F at one point pretty sure my cats were going bye bye. Now I got JHM test pipes, Jokerz ported blower, merc S6 HX, added 1.3 gallons of coolant with the PLM tanks, plus this CWA-100, new IC cores. I just purchased the AEM meth kit too that I’ll be running with the 1000cc nozzle. I’m hoping for real cool IAT’s

      Have you gotten all that stuff installed? You should see a drastic reduction.
      Also, run an 80/20 ratio of distilled water to coolant in the supercharger loop when you divorce the system

      @@AudiC7Owners I’m halfway done. Also forgot to mention, new thermostat+new water pump+ new pcv+ walnut blasted my intake ports, should help me with more power overall. I also divorced my system already with that PLM reservoir. 80/20? I shouldn’t use 50/50 g13?

    • @AudiC7Owners
      @AudiC7Owners  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We are going to do a divorced diy with 80/20 soon, but the gest is this:
      Water is what actually cools everything in your engine. Antifreeze is just that... A chemical preventing your water in the engine from freezing. The 50/50 mix is 50% distilled water & 50% antifreeze. Going to 80/20 will cook better but also keep your system from freezing in moderate climate that dont see freezing Temps very often.
      Now if you live in the north or any place that sees a lot of freezing Temps you will only want to run 80/20 in the summer and go back to 50/50 in the winter.
      This is just for the supercharger loop.

      Either by data logging your car or installing something to monitor them like a P3 Gauge
