      Sounds nice! Where can I come to listen to a church concert? Although the journey may be too long from Finland (Europe).

    I owned a black RS and regret selling it in the 90s . I currently have the white JS and love it . Richie was the guy that made me want to play guitar .

    Being in high school during the late 80's, I saw Kramer's popularity first hand. They were all over the place. The Americans, as well as the Focus (mid level import) series and the Striker (budget friendly import) series.
    Two models I miss seeing are the Paul Dean (Loverboy) signature with its neck-thru construction and boxy horns, as well as the Elliot Easton models, which had two versions; An HSS version with a Floyd, and a Tele-like two single coil version with a hard tail. each had that crazy first gen P Bass pickguard. Wish they would bring those back!!!!!

    I love the 80s’ ness of this guitar. 3 Humbuckers is awesome and makes me think of Nigel Tufnells EBMM guitar 😂. Looks like that has a baseball bat of a neck, but it does look like they put the controls in ‘manageable’ positions for live playing….

      @ThomTranOnline I love it, for the price, super nice and simple too! The pickup is actually pretty hot, but not overly hot. It's actually pretty versatile considering it only has 1 pickup. Roll the volume up or down and play with the tone pot and you can still find a wide variety of tones. The neck and frets are actually really nice.

      @@charlesb7831 I’ll have to see if Gibson will let me borrow one for an episode. Better yet, I know a guy that knows a guy that knows a guy that knows Snake. Maybe I’ll get him on the show! 🤣 I opened for Night Ranger 2 years ago and I’m STILL trying to get Brad Gillis on. And I KNOW him!

    I wonder if Gibson have discontinued these once again as they seem to have been unable to order for a while.
    Would be great if they linked up with Richie again like he done with Ovation a few back to release it as ah official signature RS.

    Not sure if you covered this in this video, but was a time during 2006ish? where you could only get these guitars and other Kramers from some somewhat dodgy looking site lol This was before gibson bought the brand, I believe.

      Ah, yes. The MusicYo guitars. That was actually written into the script, but when I was editing it was remarkably difficult to find even an image of the MusicYo logo. And it didn’t add too much to the script so I cut it. But yeah, that was a thing that happened. 🤣

    There was actually another js reissue in the early 2000's. So the original rs of the 80's, reissue no1 in the 2000's and then reissue no2 is the current model.

    gibson needs to pay closer attention to what fender did bringing back charvel.... charvel is huge right now, kramer... not so much.

  • @theuserthatishere
    @theuserthatishere 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    not sure why the weird switch angle, folks hated it even back then. but then again current kramer doesn't pay attention to what players like and dislike, that's why they are always on discount where i shop.....
