    Yep, Jersey Star - it's the Ritchie Sambora guitar. His original Les Paul on the early Bon Jovi albums was a three pickup model, so when Kramer built him a guitar, they did it with 3 pickups.

    Intro track was amazing, definitely an homage to the 80's rather than a throwback, still had your sig grind riding gently along.
    First time ive commented in a while and I'm sad to be at a point where there is literally nothing to criticise about Liverpool. I'm a Leicester season ticket holder and what I saw on boxing day was the best team we've ever had be dismantled by the best team this country has ever had.
    Astonishingly good.
    I hope you go unbeaten just so you can take away the last thing that makes Arsenal special.
    Hell, win the treble and go the league unbeaten and be the best team of all time.

    I have one of the original Krammers from late 80's or early 90's. It didn't age well as my father had stopped playing it in 90's and then it was in a garage for about 20 years. The trem system is in terrible state, it doesn't hold in tune, but that neck is the best I have ever felt and it plays so good, also the pickups are really vintage and they sound exactly like 80's rock/metal. I'm really thinking about changing the floyd for new working one. I'm glad to see that Krammer is making some good stuff again.

    I think the only thing missing is a third mini toggle for splitting the neck pickup. HHH, HSH, HSS, SSS, SHS, SSH, etc, are all available. With only two mini toggles, the neck is always a hunbucker, which is a tad strange to me. I could see the mini toggles be for splitting the middle and neck, but bridge and middle? Very interesting choice.

    Thanks for the review Hunter. Honest as usual. Man that opening 80's style track reminded me of Def Leppard and a Phil Collin type solo. Very good and the Eagle sound from Glenn is from his song on his channel. The song is called "The Eagle had Landed". That song has one of the heaviest riffs ever IMHO. Being a teen in the 80's I was not a hair metal dude. I was into punk and thrash. That Kramer is nice but I'd buy just the white classic. Only liked Bon Jovi because most girls I dated were into that stuff. They couldn't relate to Slayer,Venom,Exodus,Metallica, Megadeth,Anthrax,Destruction,VoiVod,Celtic Frost etc. Anyway nice guitar but not my cup of tea. Cheers.🤘👍🎸

    I would love to have that Guitar if they would get rid of the Neck and Middle Pups slant the Bridge pups one Volume knob and then shred like a Coked up 80's Rock Star !! Oh and for the young man yes the 80's were a Blast I couldn't write enough to explain how Awesome they were . Throw in I was a Guitarist started in 1980 and by 84 -85 was gigging Local and had all the girls , booze and Other Amenities the 80's provided everyday and night we partied weekdays or weekends it didn't matter the Party never stopped unless you personally took a break lol . It was everything you hear and read about and so much more !!

    I like the way kramer is being better represented now . I still think that Seymour jbs are way too noisy when they are split . I have a few guitars with jb in them with the splitable option and I never use it because of the hum . I know it's just the way it is , but , damn ............ you would think that there could've been some way to split them and keep them a little less buzzy by now . Maybe one day . Sorry for the rant . Good review though .

    If you remove the neck on this guitar, you will find in neck pocket a few pieces of wood. The neck is shimmed on this guitar. Recently I bought a Kramer Baretta Vintage Candy Blue and it had shimmed neck. I think for that price Kramer could come up with something better

    • @greekfreak1980
      @greekfreak1980 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kramer were always supbar rip-offs of Charvel/Jackson supertrats even back in the day. They didn´t even manufacture their own parts and use to buy necks and other componends from ESP and other companies and just cobble them together.

    • @cachemole
      @cachemole 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow....that's terrible. I wonder if they are all shimmed? Indonesia made guitars are usually pretty good quality.

    Wow...I have bad hearing....and have hard time hearing subtle tone changes but I could definitely hear that hum....oddly...I have three 80’s Ibanez’ and a few other brands from the 80’s and are all very hum buggy and micro phonic. I had to shield them and now use daddario power base ( highly recommend).

    I feel the new Kramer line missed the mark.
    1. Designs should have been each model has a crazy looking variant
    2. quality looks way less than what you are paying for. Looks comparable to a $600 schecter or Ibanez but an 80's aesthetic.
    3. again the price. Over a grand for this? why would anyone consider this over a mim charvel with similar features and hardware for less money?
    Just a real let down for me.

  • @matzck9674
    @matzck9674 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yup, the pickups are VERY noisy when split with a lot of distorsion (kinda expected tbh). Also the so-so finish issues are pretty disappointing for a 1k guitar. It's still very cool and it has a niche.

    They should have went for the trifecta and put a JB in the neck. They actually shred yo face off in the neck. Look funky as they don't make a proper spaced JB for the neck but still.... would have had to add a 3rd just because.

    Kramer, seymour duncan and a marshall head... that was the 80s. Did Richie originally set up his floyd to dive only? I always thought his floyds were floating. Regarding the middle HB, can you lower it to reduce the magnet pull and get it out of the way of your picking? I find on my strat guitars that middle PU gets in the way a little so I lower it down a bit.
