Some of the best whiskey I’ve purchased in the last 2 years has been the higher end side of the JD selections. Barrel proof, barrel proof rye, Traveler 100 bonded, store pic single barrel Rye, etc. I too was a JD snob for most of my life, snubbing my nose at it in the stores…until I tried the single barrels. It’s been a rabbit hole ever since 😂

I've never been a Jack fan, but I've never had anything other than the regular old Jack #7. I'd like to try the 10 year , Bonded, and triple mash. I do like Bank Street 5Yr Reserve Bourbon, have you tried it? If so do you like it?
No surprises here. I just never have had the Coy Hill or the Special Heritage Ryes. You might want to think about getting the Bottled in Bond - Travel Exclusive and the Single Malt just to round off collection.

I have a store pick of that red label single barrel rye from a store here in my little town. It is FANTASTIC! 53.00 bucks.
I haven’t tried very many but the single barrel rye red label is my favorite so far.
My favorite all time was the holiday selection single barrel 2011

Coy Hill had my taste buds acting like they were on an LSD trip, and the flavors hung around a while.

By that definition, every "finished" bourbon can no longer be classified as a bourbon.
Is JD 10 year worth $160?

The master distiller has publicly stated that Jack Daniel's is indeed bourbon.

JD is a bourbon. If they want to call themselves a Tennessee whiskey, that's fine by me, but they are a bourbon as we define bourbon.
