If you have not seen the movie, you owe it to yourself. These two pieces of music are just a part of what made that movie GREAT!
It's the DR1 (and National) Symphony Orchestra, which is the Danish equivalent to the English BBC1 Symphony Orchestra, so their mission is not to provide a special brand of "taste" or music, but all about providing top quality public service to make all who watch and listen, and not least children and younger people get a taste for this kind of symphony orchestra music, also for educational purpose to "nurture" their development.

This is the theme to the 1966 film of the same name, which was directed by Sergio Leone. Included on the film soundtrack as "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (main title)", the instrumental piece was composed by Ennio Morricone and was later made famous by Hugo Montenegro in 1968

The man hanging, is the former conductor. The guy that did turn off he's cellphone, got 4 years hard labor in the ice mines on Greenland. First year without gloves.
I must say this about you guys. For some reason you give me hope about life. That you find so much enjoyment from this and other things your react to makes me feel good about the world. That young people from an entirely different world demographic can see the beauty in something that an older American enjoys also puts me in a positive mood. Thanks guys. And the hanging man is a homage to old Clint Eastwood Sergio Leone movies most especially movie for which this music was created.

The movie is called the Good the Bad and the Ugly, the orchestra and symphony are playing the theme song which is called hang him high that is why there's an effigy of a man hanging.

Beautiful isn’t it? Especially when you get to see how this song is made. You guys have got to watch the movie, there’s a lot of hanging in that movie but this song is iconic, the movie is iconic and of course Clint Eastwood is iconic!❤

The hanging represents MANY Clint Eastwood westerns where lots of folks were hanged.
And this was the theme song to one of his most famous westerns. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

If you are further interested in something like this, check out "The Danish National Symphony Orchestra" with a title Gary Brooker sang in 1967 with his UK_Band "Procul Harum". Now, more than 40 years later he has performed the legendary title "A Whiter Shade Of Pale" with the orchestra.
A matured voice, a super good orchestra - pure musical pleasure.

This soundtrack from *The good, the bad and the ugly* is part of a live concert broadcasted nationally on tv. The theme of the evening was: _An evening with the music of Ennio Morricone._
He wrote the scores for a lot of Sergio Leones spaghetti westerns. This particular score gives sense to the hanging doll (which were part of the scenography).
Notice wah-wah-lady (Tuva Semmingsen) has sixshooter earrings?

I played cello in our school orchestra - 3rd grade, age 8.
Schools cut out music programs a long time ago.
It wasn’t until I was 30 that I met a young woman who had an actual job in a symphony. She played violin and was paid $80 an hour. That was amazingly good pay in 1980ish.
It would have helped if at age 8 they told us, “this is a real job, it pays xyz, and here’s what you take in school to get there, and how to apply.”
