I would love your take on Twilight 2000 because you are a very good storyteller; perfectly displayed through "Inquisitor's Log". It is also a game on my shelf and-as you point out-it's ripe for a little addition and/or sprinkle of Year Zero + 1. As per usual, a great video. Thank you kindly.
El hombre solitario lo vuelve a hacer… Thanks for going in depth and hands on with this ruleset. Ive been looking to buy my first ttrpg (looking for something I can solo play) and your channel has been not only a goldmine of solo play advice but also a wholesome, funny and personal experience at the same time. Buen sentido del humor! I love your random spanish words or phrases. I feel seen 🙏🏻
Noble Knight is awesome! Took a 2 hour detour on my 36 hour road trip to visit my kid in North Dakota, and they gave me a tour of the entire operation. Solid folks! For the 100th, you should let the HR department give examples of the most scathing documentation from this most recent PIP. Great video, thanks Man Alone!
It's funny to me (but also certainly true) that Twilight 2000 is one of Fee League's 'unknown games,' since the Kickstarter for it is what introduced me to Free Leagues and the Year Zero Engine. I have fond memories of playing T2K back when it first came out. Another great GDW franchise that is getting a new lease on life from a great publisher. I prefer the original 'alternate history' to the current version, but that was written before the end of the Cold war. No one took you seriously back then, if you said the Soviet Union would be gone by the mid 90s.
I just direct deposit my paycheck to Free League to cut out the middleman. Then when I get the books, I lick them with my eyeballs. Seriously, they make the most gorgeous book designs in the industry.
So first I find you, then days later you’re teaching me about myself, next I’m going nuts when you drop Pirate Borg - but now Twilight? Awesome stuff bro ‘Ment 4 ‘rythm
Wow! I don't think I've ever seen such incredible value for money! I watched a review of this game by a vet; he confirmed that the illustrations of the armour, and particular the weaponry and vehicles were authentic. I always buy Free League GM screens (I collect) and to my mind, they are always poor; for example, the Vaesen screen shows the questions you ask to see if the players have done enough to gain the XP you get...that's a one time thing; I can't wait to see your play through.
In older DnD, encounter distance was the distance between you and the enemy or situation you’re encountering. Maybe that’s what it’s referring to. You did this and then checked for surprise on each side.
I wanted to ask if its just me loosing hearing or your voice does get more quiet with recent videos, but Waffling instantly eliminated the question (and my hearing). Can't love you even more, man
I need to sleep on this because right now it feels like an amazing idea but part of me feels like maybe I'm just tired and it's an awful idea (Aka an amazing idea)
This game looks really cool. I can already see myself bashing it together with Advanced Squad Leader starter kits and creating a solo wargaming/roleplaying beauty :o
Yeah, I am having a bit of a hard time with it as an almost-no-experienced-solo-RPGr. Not the game's fault most likely, but I guess you really should be an experienced solo player. I cannot really explain why... :( So I'm back to Starforged for me to get up to speed with solo playing, and I will probably come back later.
Hi Man Alone, just went to Spiel 2024 in Essen, Germany today and Free League is there with a big booth and all their games and stuff. Immediately thought of you. 😉 Picked up the Forbidden Lands boxed set with the two hardcover faux leather bound books, map and adventure booklet. Unboxing incoming soon. Will go again on Saturday.
Video 44 of me liking and then commenting on every new upload to tell the viewers that the Man Alone Podcast is absolutely some of that sweet, unhinged audio/vocal-honey. Psssst. It won’t let me comment with the video link, but if you go to my page you will find my disaster of a Solo RPG Debut.
I don't know if it's because of the theme, but I do agree - it's not a game I see too many people talking about online (solo or otherwise). I think the amount of materials they provide in the core box is quite impressive, especially for solo play. The maps alone are great if you're into the whole hexcrawl solo experience. When I'd heard they were doing the Walking Dead RPG (which I know you love), it seemed like a no-brainer (sorry, bad zombie joke) given this Twilight 2000 set. Please do a solo play through!
Not currently - I just switched the membership from buymeacoffee to youtube. There is really no way right now to set up a private RSS feed for a reasonable amount of money except through Patreon, which I am not interested in using their model. I’ll keep looking for ideas though!
Yeah, frustratingly TH-cam is unlimited free video hosting, but there's not a good way to do audio hosting without making enough in Patreon or ad reads to reimburse it
You just did! Thank you for making me a professional! lol in seriousness though I will turn down my waffle music by 10db for every $1 you have waffled me here (:
This is a great game for solo roleplay. Be sure to get the Urban Operatons expansion. I play this using the Mythic system.
I turned my hearing aids up to hear you better. Then you waffled me. I have lost the little hearing I had. Thanks.
I am thinking this is where you begin a class action lawsuit against me? I mean that's probably the fair thing to do??

I'm so glad the performance plan got extended. I'm enjoying the documentation of play, it's making me actually play, which is great.
The chits and maps alone are great looking, worth picking up in my opinion after seeing this
Also I think a playthrough would be awesome to see, military, basically modern, hit locations ...hell yeah
7:48 Dutch Blitz is the best! Blood was shed regularly in our house because of this game. Cannot wait for my boys to get old enough to play.

Thank you! I never hear about this setting/system from Free League, so I had no idea there are solo rules. I'm excited!!

I've been curious about the solo rules for T2k so I'd definitely be down to watch a Malone solo play.

Dammit I just raised the ire of The Wife for buying CY_borg. Now I have to buy Twilight 2000.

Electric State RPG has Solo mode section

@@the_Mike_d yeah I think I might have to. Also I’m ashamed to say I chuckled at the “no brainer”
Brandon Carrion loves Twilight 2000
I have become a Free League fanboy, specifically T2K. I'll buy anything T2K. I hope they release a hardcover at some point.
I'd like to see you play Loner or Micro RPG.
Any hope for a podcast feed? So we can listen with our podcast-apps?

I got a popup for a program quitting unexpectedly during the intro video and I thought it was just a new part of the intro at first.
I would like to see you solo play this one!
@@jonio38 seems to be the consensus around here…just may have to
Updated the cryptpad. I'm doing my part!
Lmao you are a trip man
Consider paying a professional to do your intros. ❤

Will those of us still over on buymeacoffee get the Dragonbane supplement?
Yes of course!
