OMG, This is a must-visit and revisit city, I was there in July with wifey, this city is vibrant, the food, the music, the panorama, the nightlife, the tours, the people, Garden District, Bourbonetc...I'm impressed by the "party day and night" lifestyle and we are from NY! I think my wife left part of her heart in NOLA...We plan to go back soon...very soon #NOLAforever

I was In New Orleans in July 2016 and had an amazing time. The french quarter is buzzing any night you decide to go and the architecture and atmosphere is incredible. If you want an 'authentic' version go to Frenchman street but Bourbon is still an incredible experience. Also I'd like to say that I didn't see any trouble or crime, which surprised me.
This Expedia guide to New Orleans always makes me think of The Princess and the Frog you know that Disney Movie and the Mardi Gras Museum is a great attraction to see there

Greatest city in the world. Each neighborhood has lots to offer in terms of architecture food, music, nightlife, history. You can really make a video for just one of the bywater, marigny, french quarter, irish channel, CBD, uptown, warehouse district or garden district neighborhoods. I've lived here for 5 years and still scratched the surface in terms of nightlife spots, food joints etc. It's a small city but there is so much everywhere. Plus the culture is authentically more unique than any other city I've been to in my opinion. Just love it here.

One nice book that helped me a lot in my traveling to New Orleans was "Exploring New Orleans Like A Native" by Brandy Cole, I got that superb book on Amazon. I would have been lost without that book Thanks to that dude

The impovershed are being pushed out of the city in fact. Also, let's not pretend the entire state of Louisiana is impoverished. Go to Baton Rouge. I think it's worse. The entire state lags behind in wages and education. We are a poor state no matter where you live.
The Quarter is like living in a museum. No overhead power lines, renovations of facades must be historically accurate as to color etc. All the neon on Bourbon must be exempt somehow😎
Luckily I live close to New Orleans , so I can visit there a lot. And by the by , bourbon street is the road you would wanna go on. It has the most amazing stuff there including jazz.😁
