leo Guatani You can live in English, but you’ll be missing out on the rich Québécois culture, and outside of the Montréal region, it’s a question mark if you’ll be able to have a conversation in English. Anyway it’s always better to learn a new language because it grows the IQ a bit, opens a new, massive horizon (cultural) and you’ll be able to interact with a lot more people. You’re very welcomed here sir! :)
Leo Guatani, in all fairness, if you are going to live in Montreal, you should at least learn basic French which means more than just saying hello and goodbye. However, many people get by speaking only English and some very basic French. Can you get a job speaking only English? Yes, you can, but only manufacturing jobs, warehouse jobs, or jobs that have you deal with international English speaking companies. I was born and raised in Montreal and still live here and Montréal is one of the most pluralistic and accepting cities in the world. Racism exists, but it is mostly "quiet" racism and mostly comes from low-income, uneducated individuals, just like in every other country in the world. Montreal is a multi-cultural city and it is one of the cities in the world where you will be able to mingle with many different cultures without being judged. The comments I have read about Montreal being racist and unwelcoming are incorrect. Hope you enjoy it if you do decide to come. Good luck.

Visiting Montreal is like going to Europe without the hassles and exorbitant costs. Despite the fact, French is the primary language used in Montreal, anyone whose mother tongue is English, will have no problems communicating with anyone in Montreal. Montreal is a very bilingual city. Adding to that, there are many areas in Montreal where Italian or Chinese or Portuguese or a host of other languages are dominant.

Great video! Made me want to visit Montreal, for sure. And I'd like to compliment Expedia on the awesome soundtrack, too. It really enhances the beauty of the images and sets the right moods. Very inspiring!
Baba... your comment gives us a glimpse into who you really are. Truth be told: you'd probably be miserable anywhere. The stinky attitude emanates from within. ;-) Here's some advice: turn off the news, smile and be kind to people when you leave your house, learn French if you want maximum job opportunities in a French-speaking province and buy some good glasses to see our lovely artsy buildings (we have optometrists here). Best of luck!
I'm a proud Canadian and have been from the west all the way to the East but never managed to get to Old Quebec City or Montreal. Perhaps I've saved the best for last? I promised myself 1 day I will make it out there. 1 day...
Both are great cities, Quebec is probably the most European city in Canada, and Montreal is full of different things to do. Definitely visit when you have the chance!
Please make a video with Bucharest, Romania because is a big and wonderful city. If you made a video with Paris you must make a vidoe with LITTLE PARIS OF BALKANS. In Bucharest you can see Trimphal Arch, Grigore Antipa Museum, Cişmigiu Park, Palace of Parliment and other.
You summarized this magical place very well in cinq minutes. I just love the town, and all thexFrench culture that surrounds it. You would be hard-pressed to find better food in North America - from croissants to bagels with lox to smoked meat sandwiches at Schwarz' deli on St Laurent, to fancy rack of lamb in Vieux Montreal. The jet boats on the Rapides are amazing, too. So much to explore. I was there for Expo '67 and the Summer Olympics in 1976, and several times since. It is a slice of Europe sans the flight. Embrace the French culture and the friendly people!

My favorite country and my favorite city Canada and Montreal. I wished to live there from childhood n hope to reach there one day n get the citizenship. I really love Canada.
Thank you, Expedia for adding Indonesian Language text on this video!
I just returned from Montreal, it is an amazing place! I shall return.
It is incredible both Montreal and Quebec are much more French than France itself
I swear Montreal needs a NBA team. If Montreal had it's own NBA team Tony Parker would be playing there.
Alladin Batman There are serious talk from serious business people about a NBA team in Montreal, we’ll have to wait and see.
Toronto Raptors won. Celebrate them until you French Canadians get a basketball 🏀 team.
Shah Alladin don’t you guys have a CBA team? Why do you need a nba team
Svendar they’d have to speak French tho.
@@Svendar just cancel the Knicks
I’m from upstate NY and I loved visiting MTL. It felt like I was so much further away from home than I was :)
Great comment. I've heard the same from so many others who have visited Mtl. It's like going to Europe without the costs and hassles; and being from upstate NY, your travelling time is only a short drive.
What a nice video !!
Valentin Antiperovitch Thank you so much for watching!
been there twice and hoping to live there one day !!
el mejor otoño de toda mi vida, lo pase en montreal, quede enamorada, quiero regresarr ;)

Going to college an hour south from Montreal in New York, definitely visiting this fall 😁

I’m watching this video because tomorrow I’m taking trip to Montreal
This is on my travel list for 2016!
Montreal is beautiful. I've there and is a city of great architecture, charming parks, museums of every kind, great restaurants. and Mt. Royal Park with a breathtaking view of the city It's Canada's New York, or London or Paris.
It's New York, London, Paris, Rome, Lisbon, Tel Aviv, Milan and Athens all wrapped into one great city.
montreal is so beautiful.. i love the shoppping.. way better than toronto and ottawa
Really? So many people told me That Toronto was so cleaner and beautiful than Montréal! Well thanks!
Claude Junior Malo toronto is dirty but has greater views.. ottawa is very clean and beautiful :) both are great canadian cities

+Flaxe Moor fashion is everywhere in montreal
Great video! Made me want to visit Montreal, for sure. And I'd like to compliment Expedia on the awesome soundtrack, too. It really enhances the beauty of the images and sets the right moods. Very inspiring!
Ça a l'air très beau comme ça...
Baba... your comment gives us a glimpse into who you really are. Truth be told: you'd probably be miserable anywhere. The stinky attitude emanates from within. ;-)
Here's some advice: turn off the news, smile and be kind to people when you leave your house, learn French if you want maximum job opportunities in a French-speaking province and buy some good glasses to see our lovely artsy buildings (we have optometrists here).
Best of luck!
I prefer Montréal wayyy more than Paris its so beautiful with hints of north American life looks amazing love it and love esp old port area
Once the home of the late-great Leonard Cohen, and perhaps home to me one day soon!
I moved to Montreal very recently and never get a chance to look around, so here’s my chance
oh this is a very old comment
I'm a proud Canadian and have been from the west all the way to the East but never managed to get to Old Quebec City or Montreal. Perhaps I've saved the best for last? I promised myself 1 day I will make it out there. 1 day...
Both are great cities, Quebec is probably the most European city in Canada, and Montreal is full of different things to do. Definitely visit when you have the chance!
It is where Canada was born
I've been here twice and I want to comeback again.
Montreal, waiting for me,, uyeeaahh
Ahhh precovid. Miss those times
Best enjoyed on foot or via public transportation.
God bless Sweden and Canada ;the Swedes and the Canadians 🇸🇪🇨🇦
Great video. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Montreal looks great. Can't wait to visit.
I salute Canada amazing
Montréal Truly a Gem city.
Best city in Canada - SO much culture to enjoy
