Stealing paychecks from door dash drivers is a real scummy thing to do.
HOW many drivers would someone have to steal from to get a million dollars???
Not suprised
Definitely, because when dash ends people want their pay

Why wouldn’t all that money go back to the victims???? Shouldn’t even be a question about it.
Because They want it. Can you imagine fighting the government for something that was stolen from you that they now have??? Those people not going get their money.
It will but first a period of time has to pass so that they can investigate to see how many drivers were affected. Some might not even be aware they had money stolen from their accounts. The money will be divided between the claims and everyone will get a portion of what was stolen. Sometimes this takes years.
It's the government. They never give anything back if they can find a way to keep it.

Stealing from DoorDash drivers, that's pretty low. People scrambling around just to eke out a living. That's like barging into a bank with a gun and just taking the teller's wallet.

Too little money for "each claim" to make it worthwhile. First money goes to the Court second money to the assigned lawyers on the case. That's the way it works. Been there. Unless, you personally hire a lawyer and have a lot you can claim coming to you. Lawyer fee is typically , A minimum, which you pay upfront, and then about 30% to 40% of recovery. Great book out there on how a real life lawyer went broke pursing a case against a big company, for 3 gears.
Plus interest for over two years, plus some punitive damages from door dash for ignoring the problem for over two years.
YN for sure spent most of it. Police holding money in a criminal case is a normal procedure. Nothing to sue over or they would.

Don’t be so ignorant dude. The vast majority of criminal cases result in plea deals…only a fairly small percentage go to trial.
More likely he was going to give up his accomplices and they decided to silence him.
Plea deals don't mean the guy goes free. Having a trial where you have potentially 700+ victims to testify takes time, time that could go into handling all of the other cases needed in court too. Typically all prosecutions charge the defendant with as many crimes as possible to force the defendant to wave their right to an expensive and time consuming trial and plead guilty to most of the charges, or reduced versions of those charges instead. The defendant ends up serving 60 to 80% of what the full charges might have got them while the prosecution gets the criminal behind bars faster and can now move on to the next case. Plea deals are always part of the system.
The folks commenting sound like y'all relatives to these folks getting offered these plea deals ....

Exactly!
The police doesn’t really do much about scams.
Mostly because the delivery platforms don’t do deep investigations to provide info to the police. This happens on Uber too. They don’t require actual information from the customers. Customers can see our face, license plate, legal first name but they don’t even have to provide a real name. I’ve picked up orders for “Big G”, “Nestle Crunch” etc. So when you allow people to order not knowing who they are, they pay for their food w Visa giftcard & then they cashout your paycheck to a Green Dot or prepaid card they have no way to find them to even report to police. The lack of security measures for drivers is terrible. The apps just throw their hands up & say sorry - they rarely do anything about it. This has gone on for years on multiple platforms.

Really?
Sounds like the others were going to get screwed.
Did the lawyer call him a quiet and kind young man?
Bro, you need to meet better people.
I don’t feel sorry for him. Stop stealing money from people.
Justice is a dish best served cold.🤔
Bet the victims will never see any of that money. There are larger scams than this one
Someone didn't want him telling? this is unfortunate.
I’m all outa tears young G
Whats his Ig?
I don't know he doing it all thru the phone u gotta be smart to pull that off
Why does it seem like a question to give the money back to the people it was stolen from
These types don’t deliver justice, they obstruct it lol. Any attempt they make to seem as though they care about the victims is strictly performative.
Governments everywhere are broke, they are rapacious for more money anyway they can get it.
cuz cops keep it for their retirment/vacation money. simple they take... whatever, the original owner never getts it back, legally of illegaly
The fact that these thefts occurred over a 2.5 year period says a lot about DoorDash, because I can guarantee the Dashers reported their missing wages instantly.
DD def doesn't care ultimately, because it forces the robbed to work more &twice as hard
HIS LAWYER IS CORRECT NOW HE IS DEFINITELY QUIET NOW
If people who scam would use this intelligence for legal things, they could go far in this world without committing crimes.
Imagine the amount of intelligence and focus it would take to pull this off. He could've been running his own (legal) business smh
It's not really intelligence, it's persuasiveness and pressuring. Those that do go the legal route end up in sales, selling people things they don't actually want or things that are horribly over-priced, think car salesmen and the like.
Either stole from someone or someone was looking for they portion
Debo: where my 40 homie
Did they just say he was kind? Lmao
So basically, he robbed the wrong Doordasher, and they got him! Why TF, would the 73% of the stole money recovered NOT be redistributed back amongst the victims immediately? Thats a crime in itself
What kind of delusional comment is that from the lawyer
The same kind as “ America 🇺🇸 the greatest country on earth” we all know the history 😐
They killed him because of the case he was facing
That was my first thought ..
Who is they ?
Who is they ?
u mean they thought he was bought to snitch on the gang when he made that plea deal
@@tristanmichael7596 the "gang" wasnt facing charges, nor did he tell on anyone, this is not a new case, mr attorney...
“Quiet and kind young man…”, Naaash??? 🤷🏽♂️😵💫❌
They described him as quiet , kind , young man. Hmmm scammed 700 people out of their hard earned money , frauded a schemed many banks and was dumb enough to keep the money in his apartment. Very kind of him , vey quiet lifestyle blowing 300,000 in a year .
It was his scummy lawyer who described him that way.
living in gov/taxpayer paid housing? free medical? free dental? free ... everything? compliments of the US taxpayers?
Cue the mother getting on tv claiming her son was an angel. The only sad part for me is now we have to pay for 4 trials and 4 incarcerations instead of 1.
A hearing for money stolen from people that earned it is wild, what happened to protect and serve
Yes. You need to find out who lost their money and how much needs to go back to people be not all of it was recovered. God you people are slow thinkers
@inflation1139 We ain't slow we know how the justice system operates, when theres alot of money tied up from a crime, corruption starts coming out. Those Doordash drivers would be lucky to even see 1 penny of the money that got stolen from them. If they do get their money back half of it will go to legal expenses which is bs.
@@memezer426 exactly does he know how much money is so called seized and never recovered or returned to the rightful people
He didn’t figure out how to do this on his own
Why would they even think that the money wouldn’t go back to the victims?
Governments everywhere are broke, they are rapacious for more money anyway they can get it.
once cops take... anything... it is gone
