  • Today you’re going to learn The 2-Step Church Announcements Formula.
    Follow this formula and you’ll see your congregation pay more attention during your announcements.
    Even better…this formula will lead to more next steps taking place in your church each week.
    I’ve personally presented more than 30,000 church announcements over the last five years - and this formula encapsulates everything I’ve learned in that time.
    The best part?
    This formula works in any church, in any context.
    How can I be so sure?
    Simply put, this announcement formula uses the most powerful form of human communication as its foundation: storytelling.
    Storytelling is the single most powerful form of human communication. And I know that’s a pretty big claim, so let me offer you some proof to back it up.

    QUESTION: Which part of The 2-Part Church Announcements Formula is most exciting to you? The story framework in part 1? Or the next step script from part 2? LMK below! 👇👇👇👇👇👇

      I've been pushing to get part 2 up and running here and hopefully will be able to launch in the Fall! thanks for the info on how you have it set up and "using one method" for next steps. Storytelling was also a huge help! Thanks Brady and team!

      I've watched almost all of your guys' stuff and think you are right on point! Also, I'm right on the other side of Lake Ontario (east side) and thought that if I am ever heading through that way that I would love to crash in on your guys.

      Mitch, you're welcome to stop by the office any time! We have people stop in pretty frequently. We'd love to meet you. Just give us the heads up when you're planning on stopping in.

      The second part about the central church hub was very interesting. What size of a church do you think a church hub is useful?

    As someone making weekly announcements at church, this is very helpful. We are definitely guilty of making "next steps" too complicated. Awesome video!

    I just got onto our church staff, and I'm hoping to present some of these fantastic ideas to the board in order to have be EXCELLENT in everything we do. We've always struggled with getting the announcements to be exciting or even paid attention to, but these tips really encourage me. Thank you!

    The story telling is always exciting and glad to have this reminder that we always need to inspire instead of just giving info. I'm sharing this with my worship and arts team to help create this change. Thanks for all the work you do!

    Thank you Brady for sharing these church announcements formula with us. As a small church, just implanted in Haiti, I foresee the challenge with technology but I am optimistic it will make a huge difference as we increase the next steps actions in our church. I am learning a lot with you guys and hopefully heading in the right direction. I Thank God for your guys and all you do to help us navigate this biggest communication shift in 500 years.

    The story framework was most helpful for me. Also, the 50% rule is golden! I'm sitting here thinking, "I want more people to come on Sunday night and God has been doing some awesome things there in the lives of many." It would be so much more effective to share stories of people who have been blessed by Sunday Night services!

    Thank you so very much for your explanation of how the next generational church should operate. Storytelling is so important, not only for today. It has always been and always will be. That’s what I came away with mostly from your information. Thank you once again.

    Extremely helpful. Most exciting is the one next step, but specifically the centralised hub concept where a person only ever has to remember one thing (the hub address) and we do all the work for them by making sure the Hub is up to date and people can find the action they need at that time.

  • @toneo1275

    Wait -- that was more than ten minutes!
    Thank you for the reminder to keep it to fewer announcements to add punch. These are all things I knew, but had to be reminded of. The 50% rule is a great way to eliminate a lot of announcements, too. I use stories as the central feature in many of my sermons, but including them in announcements was new to me.
    Thanks for putting the video together!

    Assuming you start announcing an event 6 weeks out, how often do you put it in the Sunday announcements? We announce every upcoming event every week until it expires. Stage announcements--when you have captivated attention--are much more effective than the bulletin or website.
    Also, once you give your story about a particular event--say baptism in your example--what do you do with that announcement every other week until the event happens? Does it get that special treatment once? And then goes into the "less important" rotation and gets only a mention?

      Hey Brady, did I miss your answer to Kim Gray's question? How do we continue to promote major events without telling the same story each week? Also, if you're using the storytelling technique and you have two or three announcements, how do you smoothly transition from the story (announcement #1) to Announcement # 2 and 3? I SO appreciate your videos!!!

  • @nsauval8
    @nsauval8 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I have a question. You stated that baptism is an announcement that applies to more than 50% of the congregation and I don’t see how that is so. Typically most of the people attending church have already been baptized. Can you explain this?

    How do you advertise doing church announcements for other churches?

  • @rkhicks214
    @rkhicks214 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thank you Brady for this video and a couple others related to announcements. I am going to assume that the order of service looks like this: Countdown / Welcome / Continue Countdown / Worship / Announcements with giving / Sermon Bumper / Message / Response / Dismissal. I am curious to know how you incorporate the giving section before the message?

    • @prochurchtools
      @prochurchtools  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep! This is the basic structure of most services. I announce the giving during the announcement portion and the ushers collect the offering as the sermon bumper plays. 😊

  • @conradmacintyre

    Brady, this is very interesting and useful information, but it takes you far too long to go through it. I really feel like this could be a 5-minute video that gets all the same info across, but is more mindful of the viewer's time. I would encourage you to try to be a little more concise. God bless.

    this sounds cool. But, when I share this to my leader, I was questioned. “Who will do the story-telling/ who will testify? can you please help me answer this? I wonder why there is a qualification to be in the front. 🥲Because at the moment, we are doing a weekly video showing the details of the event. No next step/ not engaging at all.
