Miguel Garcia I own a lot of Glock pistols, and 3 Glock knifes. I have 1 Glock 19 that’s made in the USA 🇺🇸, my other Glock 19 is made in Austria 🇦🇹 alongside my Glock 22, and Glock 21. My USA 🇺🇸 Glock 19 is just as reliable and accurate as my Austrian ones. Depends on who is in charge and is making the product. If it works, and is good quality I could care less what country it’s made in. Even Mexican made tools are good, depending on the brand.

I dont really think its got much to do with where its made or the price. Most SOG's are made in china and taiwan. Cold Steel is mostly made in Taiwan. Both brands are very popular and affordable. I think the reason is because it fits into a category where theres so many better options out there close to the same price range. An srk only costs a lil more n ima disagree with wat was said bout the difference between the two in this vid. In an extreme torture test it wouldnt take long to figure out this glock is not on the srk's level. Thats just ONE of probly many knives that will outperform the glock for just a few $ more.

The theory is it was intended as the bayonet for AUG, but that feature was dropped due to NATO compliance or simply deemed unnecessary. Most NATO rifles share bayonet mounts. Great review. The Glock is practically indestructible and the sheath offers more protection compared to any other sheaths (approved for airborne troops). Yes, your comparison is very accurate - this is the Mora of the tactical world and I never though of that. I really appreciate that Glock and Mora do not put fiberglass in their sheaths so you don’t have to touch up the edge every time you draw the knife like you have to with an FRP sheath. I can put a razor edge on these knives and draw them from their sheath and return them with no damage to the edge.

It's designed to be a knife every soldier should have, not just as weapon but as tool aswell.
You can use it to dig a hole, open cans and bottles, but it works as throwing knife aswell when you don't modify the handle.

    • @kuba6344
      @kuba6344 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I would say mostly as a tool. There is not really place for hand to hand combat in modern warfare, and glock knows it. That`s why they made tool that doubles as a weapon, not the opposite.

Since i enterd the Austrian Army in october 1984 i had GLOCK fieldknives in my possesion! I think it is a clever designed "all-purpose" knive for soldiers, hunters and outdoor fanatics. The steel is high-carbon and needs a little more attention, then stainless steels, but it is easy to sharpen and with a little oil or grease, it will stay operational for decades. I keep one of my GLOCK knives in the door pocket of my pickup truck to kill game, which was injured in traffic accidents. It is also perfect for this purpose!

ive had one for over a year. ive beat it up. tip got slightly chipped at one point but its barely noticeable. you would only notice it if you knew what it looked like to start with. ive pried into hardwood, batoned oak, stabbed trees and random stuff, ive even thrown it into hardwood where it would sometimes bounce off and land in sand and rocks. i have also LITERALLY used it as an ice pick. this is a beast. the only issue is the end cap where you should be able to remove it to insert a pole for use as a spear but its extremely difficult to get off. i havent been able to and i dont want to damage it.
oh, and as others have mentioned, the 90 degree guard piece is a bottle opener. also the hole in the handle towards the butt is for a nail to secure previously mentioned spear rod.
BIGGEST FLAW is its NOT a chopper. it simply doesnt weigh enough. you can chop with it, its just not easy or fast. just use a wire saw. the saw on the spine is pretty terrible for cutting much of anything. it is too wide to be effective.

To quick pull the knife out of the sheath put your index finger in a trigger position to the guard and put your thumb on locking clip. Then make a kind of twist-pull motion with index and thumb simultaneously and the knife will be deployed quickly.

The Glock entrenching tool comes with a wood saw, I definitely think the knife and entrenching tool are meant to be used together as a complete kit for entrenching and field work.
The tang is a flared rounded pipe-like shape. The blade and tang are one piece of metal, and the polymer handle is molded over the tang.

This was not the intended bayonet for the AUG but when it is issued to pretty much everyone, it is pretty much a given that it would have that feature.

Especially for the money. It fits well in the hand, takes abuse, and even the factory edge is plenty usable. You don't see many knives of this quality for such a reasonable price. It's honestly a really good deal. I've already ordered another one to keep as a spare (that I'll probably never need).

Never heard of the blade getting stuck in ribs due tot sawback and stayed there till battle was over either.
Can't believe that actually. Sounds like fairytales to me.
The reason is not to cause unnecessary pain/harm to an opponent/enemy.
Which sounds weird also, given the bombs and weapons that are also used.
Leaving people with limbs blown off , bellies ripped open lying there to slowly die.
War is a crime in itself.
And people shouldn't fight in Ukraine.
They should blast the hell out of the Kremlin, there where it all starts.
Take a missile/rocket some now and then, and then and aim for a window at the Kremlin.

The tang is molded in push-tang NOT full. There were X-ray pics floating around the knife & multitool forums years ago of this. The tang extends to the 3rd groove (behind G logo), then nothing for 1 groove, and the last 2 are where the bayonet lug is suposed to be, that space under the cap (fits Styer AUGs w/o nato M9 bayonet adapter)
