Lovely machine. Thank god you have kept it standard and not gone café racer. I've never kickstarted a bike before and don't know much about it . I take it that you have to put it in neutral? Cheers.
Back in the summer of 1976 I took possession of a brand new 1975 CB400F that was priced under $1000 at Pasadena Honda. I soon discovered that my CB400 was fairly easy to kick start even though the electric starter was quite capable and reliable. On typical warm sunny days in Southern California I could even use my hand on the kick start lever to get the engine running. When showing off my motorcycle to curious friends and family I would often start the Honda with just my hand on the kick starter lever, it usually came to life on the 1st attempt.
Great state for a 42 years old bike, congratulations!! This seat make it much better look than the original. I own one from 1976 and change the seat too, and looks similar to this one, but red.
Noticed you kicked her over a few times before trying to start her. Very wise. Circulate some oil through the engine before firing up. Just curious...is your 4 into 1 pipe a Mack, a Hindle or other?
Just one question. I own a '76 myself in red and it is my daily ride. Is the seat on your motorcycle stock, or was that made after production? Gorgeous!

Yes, it is in neutral. I like kickstarting; it gives you a feeling, that you personally bring the engine to live:-)
1:20 Der Moment, wenn du gucken musst, ob das Moped auch auf allen 4 Pötten läuft xD

Thank you kindly for your post. I didn't come up with that idea I'll try it for sure first sunny days:-)
That sounds like low compression to me.
Hope you don't get a kickback when when using your hand on the kickstart. That would be a hospital visit for sure.
I can do that too with my cb50j (moped). 50cc and runs great
The most sexy looking exhaust ever put on a bike , and one one copied it ?
Hermosa moto, tuve una año 1977, maravillosa
Die CB 400 Four hat die schönste 4 in 1 die es gibt. War meine erste Maschine 1980 als Grauimport.
I owned one once superb little bike very well thought out design
Put or make the right end on the other half, and you could make headers out of that exhaust.
Sve originalne boldorke zvuče savršeno,a i izgledaju.
Great little bikes those 400 fours
I had a '76, rode it for 16 years. Great bike!
Cool pipes

Cool bike and nice looking exhaust! Enjoy!
Had 1975 blue one, first sport bike, 4 into one pipes, 6 speed, peppy, low bars, rear set pegs, by the standards of the day. best little 400 ever made
Bravo Marek! I have a 1973 CB350 Four. Fun little Motorbikes! Zip~

Yes, indeed... It needs an effort, but it is worth of it. Thanks.
Congratulations!

Electric starter broken?
Just showing off...

Hi California Dreaming. Thanx for kind comment. I've checked old invoices and just found description like that: DM44H Col.Box + Pipes...
Name of the Seat?
Giuliari. I found it on eBay.
この美しさはどこから来るんでしょう?
Why are you utilising the kickstart? just for demonstration or there is an advantage on doing so?
By the way, I own a 76 cb400f.
Cheers!
Just for fun, from time to time. I haven't original spring in right footpeg, so it is a bit complicated. The footpeg can't stay in vertical position.
Wow ❤❤
It's really a beautiful bike.
Tive 3 delas, quero outra, mas estou sem condições de comprar, rsrs.
dope lol
Awesome

It is original italian Giuliari seat from 70's, dedicated to 400/4. I've found it on ebay.de. Looks great, especially when you remove rear mudguard
my first street bike put 40 k on it
Piękny!
Stunning enjoy
Linda demais, parabéns!
oh weh oh weh oh weh
