I think the reason the brigand could flee was because the red square north of him was actually a rock 2 tiles north but on lower ground

Unrelated to this video, but how would an all polearm company work against alps? With all brothers that aren’t dedicated polearm brothers armed with goblin pike to give them two steps?

I mean yeah but are you gonna keep 8 jagged pikes around for the 3 alp fights you do all campaign?

@@CarveaHole Yeah, in practice it is ineffective, but it was a theoretical question I had.

@@japanesehitler It's not ineffective. It's the best strategy, killing alps with no risk... practically making it the easiest fight in the game. Aww... and you don't need jagged pikes - any polearms will do, just use "wait" any time you don't have hit and do not overextend.
