Sorry for the delay in getting back to you-it has been a tough January here! I study around 15-20 hours per week depending on the workload. That’s not all module work though, I include everything in those hours such as communication with tutors, general uni admin etc. Some weeks are quicker than others. Have you started yet? How are you getting on? Let me know if I can help with anything xx

    Hi Stacy,
I am a mum of 5 (18-12 ) in the Swiss Alps . I am hesitating to enroll in OU psychology in sept 2025 .
What are you doing ? Which psychology?
I am British too but did all my school years in French . I used to be more fluent in English when I was younger than today at 47. I guess it should come back with practice .
Is it possible to do the course in 4,5 years ?
    Thank you

Hello @mandanabalet 😊 I am not studying for a psychology degree-my degree is in Childhood and Youth Studies, which did include one introductory psychology module. I think it is possible to do a full degree within 4-5 years, you would have to do at least one year full-time though to achieve this I think. There are lots of people working towards degrees for whom English is their second language, so I'm sure you will be fine when you get the hang of it. You have a fair bit of time to practice before you start too!
The OU Student Support Helpline are very helpful-you can email them on: enquiries@open.ac.uk or call them on: 03003035303. I hope this helps, let me know how you get on.
