I’m not sure if anyone’s told you this but I think you look like how Princess Diana would have aged! Beautiful and this video was so lovely. I love anything vintage especially magazines. I think Life magazine always had the most interesting photos too.

Wasn't this a great magazine? Love that you appreciate them as much as I do. One of my prized collectibles is Life Magazine's entire first decade, including the original 1936 debut issue. It's particularly poignant, as you can review the international political escalations leading up to and during WWII. You're spot on with your observations about how a magazine can encompass the psychology and interests of an entire generation. As fascinating as exploring an ancient time capsule defining a precise moment in time. This was fun - sharing and synchronizing your presentation as I'm turning the very same pages you have, in front of me right now. I love the aroma of old paper.

the fact that they showcase a 20 year old girl’s surrealist teacup art piece, rather than showing her before and after cellulite pictures lol, very refreshing after the Cosmo flip through! I didn’t even expect Life mags from this time would care or dare to put a young girl’s art next to Dali’s unless she’s his muse, but maybe she’s more famous than I think

I’m in Maine! We’ve had a few big storms this winter but nothing like how I remembered it being as a kid. But the cold and snow is worth the heaven of summers here.
I’ve been to Maine a couple of times - briefly - and in the summer. It was beautiful!!
The "bombshell" on the cover is Dolores Rosedale, I had to do some searching for my own benefit! They had such a timeless beauty in the 50's.

For some period I was having a normal sleep, but for some reason my waking-up-in-the-middle-of-night-in-panic came back...Asmr or any meditation listening is helping me calm the crazy heart attacks and getting back to sleep.
Sometimes I feel like i'm going crazy. I can't go to bed at 11pm because then I would wake up at 1 oclock at night....yet, If I go go bed at 1 am or 3 am, I'm melon in the morning. I refuse to take any medication and I feel Asmr or calm mantra musical videos are the best option for better sleep. Hope today would be better good night sleep.

What I loved about this Video was: you put the pictures, texts and everything in their time. You judge it but you say that we should remind ourselfes that the magazine is from the 1930s. I loved it! We often forget this especially during old films and series. They are a part of their time.

As a teenager, I worked at the A&P in NY, where we had coffee grinders at the end of each checkout counter. The customers would buy the A&P coffee beans, and the cashier would grind it for them.
