This was very helpful. I didn't think you were disjointed at all. You gave a great breakdown on how your classroom runs. I took lots of notes. LOL I teach high school science so I am definitely going to try some of the things you do. Keep sharing!
Even if you feel like you are all over the place you are still sharing lots of great tips and ideas! Don’t worry about it 😄 I’d be really interested in seeing how you coordinate your coaching: organizing all the paperwork, planning their training, etc. I feel like at one point you mentioned binding booklets for cross country? I’ve never seen a teacher on TH-cam talk about tips for coaching and balancing that with teaching so it would be interesting to me at least!
I'm so glad the tape idea work! I think I would like to see how you go from implementing your curriculum guide like you're pacing map to your lesson plan to what activities and your notes but I think that since you're a vet teacher you have stuff from like your previous years so you don't have 2 makeup this year so you might not do that
It seriously was genius! Lol & That’s a great idea! Like a whole breakdown from broad to the daily work. I’ve had a few years to get my stuff down but it’d be great info for other to see what has worked for me!
At the end of each unit I randomly select 5 assignments for them to turn in! The students never know what 5 they will be and I pick a different group for each class. It keeps them on their toes, but gives them the entire unit to get the work done!
Thank you! It is something I created myself overtime. Once I found a format I liked, I saved it with the title template so that way every time I start a new set of notes, it’s already set up for me!
Thank you! It’s essentially where students watch a short lecture at home and come prepared to class with a moderate understanding of concepts, so it opens class time to solidify and focus more on practice! I’m about to make a whole series on it!
I love watching your videos! I teach 5th grade so the subject matter is completely different but I’m so fascinated by what happens in high school! Also, I wish my hs math teachers were this engaging, I might actually remember what polynomials are if they had been!
Love your videos. Greetings from a Music teacher in Missouri

Awe thank you so much!! I’m glad you’re finding useful information!
The uncooperative hair is very relatable! Haha. As usual, great content. Not a teacher, but this makes me want to be one!
Thank you!! 😊
How do you handle a student that didn't watch the video notes?

Ooh I like that idea! I was at one time coaching two sports (so year round) and it was sooo much to handle! I’m glad to be down to one sport now.

how do you grade them? do you grade each activity to keep them accountable?

I like the layout of your notes. Is that something you have created yourself or what curriculum do you use?
Thank you! It is something I created myself overtime. Once I found a format I liked, I saved it with the title template so that way every time I start a new set of notes, it’s already set up for me!
How do you know if they've done their video notes, do you just ask them? I find this flipped classroom a fascinating idea.
Great question! When they do their opening I walk around with a clipboard to check their notes/take attendance! It goes pretty quickly!
Greet to see a high school teacher. What is a flipped classroom?

Awe thanks so much for watching!! I’m so glad that people outside of high school grades are enjoying!
