Those "radio" presets actually can be programmed to just about any drive feature. Just press and hold. So changing from screen to screen is literally a button press away. I absolutely love my new Z4. Worth every cent.
I drove one of these (M40i-manual) while getting my G82 M4C serviced and I loved it. It's a crime few people have shown interest in the Z4 and that it will soon disappear.
The perfect BMW. Wow. The sweet spot between GT and sports roadster. 71K is a lot, but this is a better buy than the M2 with options and cheaper than most Porsches.
A Nespresso coffee machine and a milk frother for cappuccino or latte macchiato are also missing. How can anyone still sell something like this in 2024? In a sports car! 😂
@@davideg5947 was very pleasantly surprised. Took it up Highway 2(Angeles Crest) just outside of LA. Handled great, and I was very pleasantly surprised by the sound in Sports Plus mode. Lots of pops and bangs. The steering isn’t the most communicative I’ve ever experienced but that’s true of virtually all modern cars. If I was in the market for a roadster I’d definitely be considering one of these.
Honestly for the price, the Miata IS a better buy. I got a '24 Miata sport (manual of course) new for $30K plus tax. Still under $33K out the door. It's one of the most fun things I've ever driven. Not as pampered or posh as the Z4 but it also weighs

Unless you step up to a Porsche Boxster GTS the Z4 manual with that beautiful inline 6 is a well rounded sports car.
The porche boxster GTS in 2025 has a starting price about $30,000 higher than the the Z4 M40i, with options its prob more like $45,000 higher
My dream would be the 6 Zylinder boxster gts 4, but that is far more expensive here.

Good review! The Z4 m40i manual is an excellent roaster!
I have a 2021 M40I. I prefer paddle shifters. It's a good car.

The only thing missing is cooled seats
It's crazy, how is this still happening on an $80K car in 2024?

Just Open the Roof and YOU ARE COLD 🥶
Best car ever...I want one 😃👍👍👍
Renting one of these (automatic M40i) for the weekend in a couple of weeks. Really looking forward to checking out how it drives.

@ thanks, I will place an order soon!
@ yeah? What are you getting? Have you seen the new manual m40i available?
How are manufacturers still releasing open top sports cars with no ventilated/cooled seats?
There’s a USB-C in the center console.
Both hands on the wheel. The gear lever will NOT fall off.
Fun car I'm sure. Looks good. But I think I would rather get the Mazda Miata.
lol
M.I.A.T.A until the B58 enters the picture.

I am probably getting one. I feel this is going to be a future classic. They will not make a lot of them and production stops 2026
@@jamievidd775when it hit 60mph does it feels like it faster than 5.7sec?? Is it really have plenty of power thou?
yo is that a supra?
It's a BMW, it was never a Toyota, just the emblems are Toyota on the supra!
It’s a little more posher, sportier than Toyota Supra but it’s a same car
LOL!! it's a z4pra
No IDIOT?!
