The choreographer was actually dancing in the white jacket, he’s a HYBE Performance Director, Yoon Seung Eun and Lee Byung Eun and Kim Min Seong also we’re choreographers for this all are HYBE Performance Directors. All were involved with Set Me Free pt2 with Sienna from The Lab too. Choreographer Yoon Seung Eun also appeared in all the performances (except Jimmy Fallon where he was there to arrange the choreo and performance) and both music videos. I think they knew Jimin perfectly for this…

The choreography wasn't used per se, but it was there. In the MV, when Jimin and a girl are looking for each other (?) among dancing people and cuts to see and his reflection and then leaning on the wall = the Jimin+girl solo in the dance that ends up with both leaning back to back to the floor (one being the reflection of the other as the lyrics and MV show). In the MV when Jimin is alone and everyone is blurry dancing = in the choreography last 1/4 when he just sings in the center whereas the dancers (not just backup, choreographers xD) continue dancing around him. Chef kiss.
You seen the choreo performed at Jimmy Fallon’s? Do we know who choreographed this? The main female dancers especially were MUCH better at Jimmy Fallon’s. I believe they are New York based dancers. You can almost see that the Korean dancers at least the main female ones are from more of a hip hop background while the New York dancers are more technically trained (contemporary dance etc). This is based on what I can see with the more controlled refined movements of the New York dancers. Which matches Jimin’s incredible control much better.

After watching countless reaction videos for BTS, it’s crazy that I’ve just recently found your channel when you did an amazing, professional & cool way of review of Run BTS. It made me browse thru your videos & looked for BTS vids, the only ones I love to watch. I’m OT7 and a Jimin bias. He somehow has a magnetic, enchanting effect on me when he exquisitely performs (actually on & off stage) just like millions of others. Like Crazy is legendary as it put Jimin as the 1st Korean & Asian (60 yrs) in history to #1 Billboard Hot 100👑💜🤩 but I’m puzzled why you don’t have the review for Jimin’s Set Me Free pt2. It’s lit & jawdropping the way it was choreographed too! Anyway, Jimin’s new album Muse is coming out very soon & i wish to watch your reactions vids for this! Thank you 💜🫶🏻
This choreo is effective and boundary-pushing but still pretty straightforward, which is neat. Lets him focus more on singing. Set Me Free pt 2 has entirely dance in the MV - think BTS's ON Kinetic Manifesto, it's deliberately similar. It's a remarkable work of art - the song, the dance, and the video choices all come together to make something I think is stunning. I'd love to see what you think of it. 😁
The blur effect that you like is very nice actually but it has deep meaning. He's actually in a dream and the mud is representative of being mired in a situation that you don't want to get out of but you know it's not good for you. The choreography is for his live performances which he's already done one of on Jimmy Fallon. The channel Bookish Theories breaks this down really well and there's a lot of symbolism in this.
