Brought home my first Subaru on August 24th. Absolutely love it. Fit and finish are excellent, fun and very easy to live with. I’m actually enjoying driving again and can’t say enough positive things about the Forester. I respectfully disagree with the Cons this video presents…
It’s truly the best of both worlds. I have a 2015 6speed it’s extremely capable off-road and has car like chops. It’s not a rock crawler but can go through deep sand with authority. Definitely has a few gremlins but for the nine years driven it’s been very reliable.
What gremlins are you referring to? I’m torn right now between a Forester Wilderness, and a 4Runner Off Road Premium. I do realize they are quite different classes, and that the 4Runner would be a harder financial punch to the face 🥊
You can turn the beeping off. I leave mine on and turn the volumes up because it bugs my ( my Honda doesn't do that wife). You can turn off the mirror moving when it goes in reverse, too. It does better in the snow than the CR-V. Better milage, too. It does have quirks. Like the tailgate has a mind of its own at times. Mine has issues with freezing up in Android Auto, which is said to be in the Subaru programing. You have to turn the car off and GET OUT to reset it. Those are all the problems I've had in my '19.
Bad thing has got to be the stop start feature that works completely randomly till you get sick of it and turn it off. Forgetting that you have to do that EVERY single time you start the car. We play “bullshit bingo” with work cars, how many buttons you have to push to make it go. Subaru, three. Engine start, Start stop and the annnnnnoying hand brake. Why cant it ping off when you put it in drive like every other car. Depending on the drive it can be five as you have to include the super annoying lane departure and the self steering that just wants to kill you.
aaaw man didn't know Subaru also went that route, now can't even get a used one as who knows how much damage the previous person has done driving with that on.
“Tech and safety features” are one of those “good things” that I’d rather not have. They’re often expensive, clunky, bloated, prone to easily breaking, and they age poorly. If a reviewer told me a vehicle lacks tech and safety features my ears would perk up
I'm not really concerned about the car's psycholigical identity issues. I'm sure with some counselling, it'll resolve them. It's fine for the reviewer to 'keep things light', however I'd learn more if he used more specific terminology. He shrugs his shoulders a lot, questions the identity of a car, and uses terms like 'squidgy' to describe pieces of equipment. He can't seem to pronounce the word 'utilitarian'.
If you want a better interior with wear n tear, buy a luxury car and never go off-road or do anything fun with it. Which would suck for people like you who live in Australia.😂
1) No one? They are incredibly popular. 2) Head gaskets? Have you been under a rock? That was decades ago. 3) Almost all Japanese cars have gone to CVT. Again, have you been under a rock?
Fact: Actual Subaru owners like Subaru.
Dats me

Exactly actually!
All my lights on the dash keep coming on included the check engine light once brand new 2024 forester sport smh

6 speed? Cvt?
You can turn the beeps off, lol
All of it?
@@kenhoward3512at least in the US yeah
I LOVE my Forester Touring in Bronze with Saddle Brown interior
I could not locate one with saddle brown.
Damn you. 😂
saw one of those super shined, a real eye catcher
When I was younger I thought the Subaru was a Australian company made in Australia
You’re not alone. lol
u wish
same
Because of the Crocodile Dundee/Outback commercials, maybe? I thought the same
My boss still thinks that I told her I was getting a forester and she was like "oh yeah, that's like Australian Mopar!" Lol
Bad thing: they take away options on stick shift vehicles. #SaveTheManuals.
nobody buys them
My dad just did and my mum already has one😂
@@growingup4487 can't buy what isn't available...
@@growingup4487yes we do💀
@@bostonblackman6336Stick drive is good for old cars. You literally don't need a manual for new cars.

Oh NOOOOO. Not UNRESOLVED. Oh ANNYYTHING but THAT 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
We know right!?
If your Subaru is constantly ringing while driving... You might need to be a better driver😂

As an(other) owner - I DISAGREE - enjoy mine a LOT
Bad thing #4: Your rolled up, stretchy capri jeans.
😂
bad thing? "subaru used to be like the most European cars of japan." That's a good thing.....
😂 ikr
The seats of the sport model are really uncomfortable. I want to change the seats
unresolved? what the actual f?
It looks like a sensible choice for me to buy a 2018, but I really don’t want to do 😂
If cover up or unplug the eye sight camera does it stop all the annoying noises
2023 models have defective tires, splitting between treads, check after 2K miles. Made in Thailand!
Good to know
Used to be "the most European of the Japanese brands"? I'd say that has always been Mazda.
Do you think i can fit a 75 inch tv in this trunk !?
American versions of the subaru has better software and safety updates... no beeps and bongs for me on my subaru. 😊
Bad thing #4 those pants legs rolled up like that.
I have to put a pillow on my seat because my seat height does go high enough 😂😂

Speak so fast....even titles can non be printed and readed so fast 😂

It’s practical and it does not break, but you can’t ignore how dull it is…
Another thing they're bad for...getting laid. People will assume the occupants to be at least 63 years old.
Very expensive service 😢

A forester is a station wagon not a suv people need to stop callin them a suv aint no truck about it
Sport Utility Vehicle, what's truck about that?
But it’s a Subaru
If you like adding 3 quarts of oil every 1300 miles, buy one.
Fact: Head gasket after 80k
on older models with composite gaskets. just swap to the MLS gaskets and youll be straight
This guy is a real whiner horrible review
Cheers!
Bad thing its a Subaru for reliability
The stick 4 Cylinder what is a pretty good
You don't know what you're talking about
Have you owned a subaru? I drove one more almost 1 million miles with little issues just normal maintenance like oil changes
No one’s interested in them because CVT. Period!!!!!
I’ll forgive ring lands and head gaskets. But that gearbox can never be excused.
1) No one? They are incredibly popular.
2) Head gaskets? Have you been under a rock? That was decades ago.

Have you driven one? CVT isn’t that bad… they have come a long way, especially with regard to mimicking a traditional automatic.
