TAROKO NATIONAL PARK 🇹🇼 Taiwan: my day tour experience 🍱⛰️🌊

Hey everyone! It's me ‪@gogogracie‬ and I'm so so happy to be back editing videos and posting on TH-cam. It's been awhile since I posted. This Taiwan trip was awhile back (April).
I've been busy shooting - two feature films and two short films.
The first one is in Cantonese and its called PENDATANG. I play Mei Yun or 'Botak' - the wildcard character of the film- she is a girl filled with rage who shaved her head and joined the militants to take revenge for her sister's death. It's available here:

Taiwan was my first country out of Malaysia in 3 years! It was such an amazing 7-Day Holiday. It was overwhelming as there was SO MUCH to see, eat, shop, smell, look at, experience, take pictures of.
I spent 3 days in Taipei and 1 day in Jiufen before heading to Hualien where I spent 2.5 days. Honestly, one week is not enough for Taiwan and I'm definitely going to go back as I have yet to visit Taichung, Chiayi and Alishan.

TAROKO NATIONAL PARK- Other tips/info
1) Why I decided to join the tour?
- I was traveling solo and didn't have that much time. I also don't have a scooter license. If you are traveling as a group or you have a bike license i recommend using a scooter or renting a car because then you can go on your own time. But if you're like me, and you're also on a budget, this particular tour is really a good one.
2) What other tour would you recommend?

(this was the other tour I was considering. It is more expensive though but it looks very promising)
3) What about other trails/hikes?
- I actually really wanted to do the Zhuilu Old Trail hike which has stunning views - you walk really high up on a super narrow trail- and its like Lord of the Rings vibes when the fellowship were all traveling to Mordor, but you need to apply for a permit to hike. An there is a maximum number of hikers allowed per day. I booked one week ahead and they were already booked out by that time so plan early! Here's the link: npm.cpami.gov.tw/en/apply_1_2...

Great video! I am returning to Taiwan in march - Taroko is on the list this time. Still debating wether a day trip from Taipei or to stay a night there... also debating the tours that leave from either Taipei or from Hualien... or to just make my way there via train and get on/off the bus... so many options!☺🇹🇼☺ Also debating the Zhuilu Old Trail - they have day tours for that that include the permit, so that could be good too for a second day....

ooh zhuliu old trail is really beautiful I've heard. you've gotta register for the permit early though. at least 3-4 weeks in advance. Thank you for watching =) hope you have a good trip to Taroko. It is so worth it

Thank you. How many hours was the tour, was it rush? We are heading to TW in the fall and Taroko Park is thinking about the tour from Klook as well.

hi! It was about 8-9 hours. It wasn't rushed at all. We could move at our own pace and our guide catered the tour to make sure everyone was comfortable =) Enjoy Taroko and Happy Travels =D
