The place you went to is called Hualien/花蓮, your pronunciation is already pretty good! Taitung in the south of Hualien is also beautiful!
Most of Taiwan's natural landscapes are free of charge, and only a few national parks charge meager management and maintenance fees!
Taiwan is a paradise for vegetarians. It's a pity that no Taiwanese friends took Carlo to taste more delicious vegetarian dishes this time!
Both of you have gone to the high mountains that many Taiwanese have not yet visited. You are not only tourists, but also warriors!
You both did a really great job, love you both so much, thanks a lot for sharing!👍🥰❤🙌🎉

Supplement: Kenting in Pindong County is known as Taiwan’s Hawaii, and it’s worth going there in summer!
In addition, because the winter in Taiwan is not long, almost all buildings are not equipped with heating equipment, but the store sells small independent heaters!

I stayed at that hotel (Silks Place Taroko) when I was in Taiwan. It was my splurge night. It was worth it. In addition to the wonderful rooftop pool, they had a great dinner and breakfast buffet. As I get older, my issue with heights has gotten worse so I didn't do that hike, unfortunately.

19:13 that maybe of Formosan Reeve’s muntjac or a Sambar deer.
29:30 At the east coast, the ocean flow from equator to north, so the water is warm, same as in the south and southern west of taiwan :). Meanwhile, northwest of Taiwan, the flow changes and flow from north to south in the winter.

Great video guys! I’ve lived in Taiwan for over 30 years, 25 of them in Hualien just down the road from Taroko Gorge. It’s a fantastic country and the East coast is , in my opinion the best part. Taiwan is experiencing a drought at the moment. Usually the mountains are much greener and the river in the gorge has far more water.

Nothing about drought any or so, it's more than normal every year before June's stationary front and follow-on summer's typhoon rain. Taiwan has been deliberately labled with some bad words in every perspective for political needs.

At 8:31, there is a statue of Guānyīn. Guānyīn is not a Chinese goddess. Rather, she is a bodhisattva in Mahayana Buddhism who is highly revered in many Asian countries, including China, Japan, Korea, and Vietnam. In Mahayana Buddhism, a bodhisattva is a being who has attained enlightenment but chooses to remain in the cycle of rebirth to help others reach enlightenment as well. 觀音 or Guānyīn is associated with compassion and is often depicted as a female figure with many arms and eyes, representing her ability to see and reach out to those in need. While she is not a goddess in the traditional sense, many people do worship and offer devotion to 觀音 or Guānyīn as a symbol of compassion and mercy.

40 yrs ago I did a college semester abroad at Tunghai University in Taichung. While there, 4 of us (Americans) rented a car and drove through the Toroko Gorge. In those days there weren't really any touristy things to do in the gorge. , It was just a road with a lot of very tiny, scary dark tunnels. At one point we stopped before entering one tunnel because we worried that our car wouldn't fit! It did fit, just barely. And I do remember well the spectacular views upon exiting the gorge on the east coast. This video brings back memories. Thx

You forgot to visit the hot springs guys! You can hike down to the river, and there’s a big choice of different temperature pools to swim in. Perfect winter activity to warm up. My favourite was going into a shallow spot in the river. I would have a hot water jet blasting my neck, my lower back and my feet. The rest of the water is cold. It’s a surreal feeling 😂 you must try this!

Came here to admire the glory of Taroko Gorge after the earthquake that buried so many scenic paths 😢
btw I think what they were shouting at 7:26 wasn't Chinese, they were actually shouting "food" with a strong Chinese accent lmao

I loved the lovely Quan Yin statue!
But like the beautiful Quan Yin you
Showed in Vietnam . You do not
Show it all for long enough. Shame
You both did not sit, on that bench
    Show it for longer.

Amazing views guys. Love all your vlogs and the delivery of them. Maybe in the future you'd like to hike Pico Do Arierio and the highest peak of Madeira Island Pico Ruivo. Wherever you go I wish you safe travels and happiness.

The most beautiful scenery in Taiwan (Hualien), the beautiful scenery is right in front of you, remember to go to the mirror of the sky, ride an ATV, go off-road, take beautiful photos, pay attention to safety, and have fun
