We make a small profit and we’re good with that but it’s for sale. And needing money? A company always needs money but that is not a make or break for us. Our company is a multimillion dollar company and this little bit of solar honestly doesn’t make that much of a difference. We offer it as options for our customers and to sell homes. We’re not a non profit company, we do sell homes and develop communities for money 😉🏡🙂

Add in buying bulk 5 kits 10% get 10 kits 20% off. 3K a kit MAYBE $3500 after labor or 4K profit per kit. Same boat for mini split, in bulk a 12K btu (not 9K) goes for 900 pre charged. So that makes me think everything you guys get is even cheaper... You guys said "It seems like every 3rd or 4th of these xmas specials have solar" So call it 80-100 homes a year with solar, that's 600-750K in revenue an about 320-400K in pre tax profit. The revenue might only be 5-6% or your OVERALL (parks included) rev, But that profit I bet is near the 10-11%, seems like a decent difference to me LOL. Same bet on mini splits too just from number of sales.

How much training is needed when things are color coded? How long do you think it takes to stress test takes? 20hr for labor. 1hr for pre - and post testing, 3 hours for installation for solar. So what costs are you talking about? An I'm being nice with time! It took me solo 14-15hr to put in a 22kw 52 panel dual ground mount system, trenching, and four mini splits with 8 heads, four inverters and sixteen batteries. An I'm a machinist so... Ya 4hrs for four panels 1 inverter and 1 battery is a bit much 😳
Please explain the off grid power: how many batteries are needed for a small home full of appliances: dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer, computer, full washer & dryer, 2 mini-splits, ect.
For how long do you expect the power to be out, while out how much sun do you expect, How many panels do you have, Do you expect to run ALL of that everyday the power is out. Or are you expected to be totally off grid?
The battery isn't my worry, mine will be the small inverter's tbh. I have a 6Kw inverter and 15Kw of battery set-up to run critical panel my fridge, computer/router, bathroom, hot water tank and two EG4 2 (variable input) 2 ton mini splits. In the summer we never run out of power, an only once in the winter when the power was out 3days we ran out of power just hours before the power came back. I think if we had 6-10 more panels connected right to the mini splits an turned down the hot water I don't think we would ever run out of power
I like the idea of solar just in case the world goes a little crazy and our power grid gets hacked. You never know. Unlikely, but better safe than sorry.
Power grid goes down twice a year minimum where I live. Every summer during wildfires and again every winter during ice storms. Gotta have alternative heat/cool systems, a way to refrigerate and heat water. Each day in a house without heat it gets colder inside, or in a house without AC gets hotter inside, until it's the same temp as outdoors. Gotta have alternatives, and lots of batteries. It's just smart to be prepared.
