Eine Kleine Chipmusik (FamiTracker, MMC5 + FDS)

This piece was written for my music theory class's final assignment (as for why I went with a chiptune module over something more traditional, I'll leave you with some words of wisdom: pieces are much easier to perform when you let a computer handle all the work.). Conceptually speaking, it's a variation on the baroque ritornello with an added stylistic dimension; structurally speaking, it brings progressive metal, 70's R&B, and baroque fugues together under one ~5 minute roof; musically speaking, it's probably the most effort I've put into a FamiTracker song in a very long time.
Downloading the module file for this will also let you hear a part of the piece's 'performance' that didn't make it into this upload: a short 'tuning' section I used for a bit when I first presented the piece.

Last bit of the song is just amazing, I've never heard anything like that in chiptune form for a very long time. So energetic and melodic, pushing FamiTracker to it's limit! I have a very limited understanding of music theory to point out how much depth this has honestly, but it's just great. Fascinating work.

This is so amazing and beautiful, great work! I loved hearing all the transitions between the different parts, and you managed to "blend" the genres very well.
