Thanks for the video made me smile, I just spent 8 mins watching someone pour 2 tins of stuff in a petrol tank. Then say I have no idea if it will work but it might. The power of you tube
You can always use a scanner to check injector timing, fuel trims, o2 sensor readings and timing advance at idle. That'll show if its making the fuel flow and burn better.
I drive a Mercedes C32 AMG with over 200k Km's ..I bought it without any services history and it was parked for 6 year ..the fuel consumption was 12/100 km's on the highway , i used a bottle of Mannol fuel injectior cleaner (pushed the engine to High RPM like 5 RPM for 10 mins on the highway) now I am getting 10.8L/100kms ....but if the car is driving daily I don't think it will be that effective.
I guess you are right about it making a very minimal difference if any as i had an oil additive knocking about in my shed which i was going to use but my BMW handbook states not to use any oil additives. I spoke to dealership about this and they said just use good quality oil and fuel and you wont ever need these additives.
Really expensive though over a long time isn't it, I'm fairly sure an additive every now and again will work good and cost far less than constant premium fuel. Oil additives in my opinion is a no go, either fix the underlying issue or leave as the additives can create issues of there own like dislodging sludge and blocking the tiny oil passages. (my opinion) I personally would chuck additive in every now and again and once every year or two ultrasonically clean the injectors, on the M57n2 they're quite quick and easy to come out.
I used Techron on my e46 320d a couple of years ago as car had been stored off road for 3 years. Reason being it's the one BMW supply except just with BMW label on, so I bought Techron, as it was also purported to be the best fuel system cleaner at least 2 years ago anyway. When I get my E90 320d on the road after being off road for 2 or 3 years being stored, I'll used the same in that also for same reason. Good video again George, Cheers
Hey there what sort of mpg do you get on your 123d on mine the onboard computer it’s saying 41.5mpg but I’m only actually achieving about 35 on average more if I go on a long run
Well no because this is for petrol cars. I’ve used wynns turbo cleaner and wynns diesel extreme cleaner before and it made my car run much more smoothly and stopped the turbo stutter I was getting. And at 50k miles it would benefit your car.
Great video again, I always use the BP Ultimate or Shell’s V Power fuel plus once a month put an Injector Cleaner in the fuel, like you say George if helps just a little it’s all good.
@@GeorgeAusters yes heating oil (kerosene). An old farmer told me about it and it works perfectly. I ran 2 tanks of it and the car is running perfect. You need the diesel as it has lubricant for the injection system. I used 20 litres kero and 20 litres diesel. Car has 140k and runs perfect 👌. Kero is great for cleaning and breaking down carbon
Another great, detailed video 👍👍. Have you ever tried additives made by GAT (German Automotive Technology)?I’ve found it very very good and would recommend it.
Next time you’re doing something like this mate get a 500ml coke bottle or the like and cut the base off then you have a ready made funnel. Be nice to see if this works. Do they do one for Diesel engines?
Cleaner loosen shit inside filter then block injector. Mainly then causing leaky injector. Then problems start up and burn off. Got problems?… just renew the injectors. Oh, service BMW more often than stated. I don’t know why I bother like but hey ho! If you driving BMW DERV engine use regular non-supermarket derv and add a little cetane booster at 25% stated. Change oil every 6k and I promise you issues with fuel system, turbo and likes will be minimal. Especially for those twin turbos derv engines. 335d I.e. I’m trying to avoid using engine designation here to reduce confusion.

We need to bring back the neg-vote count to avoid videos like this

George, Mannol Benzin ester additive 9950 is good for use in direct injection petrol engines to clean injectors and have many other advantages.

Never knew that little green hole was for holding the petrol cap! Nice one George, good vid
The Germans think of everything
Haha yep!
Cracking video, I also loved it when you beat George groves in front of 80,000 people at Wembley stadium
😂
😂
I haven't got a flap on my fuel tank, its a 118d, do you no if its meant to have one? If it is i guess its in the bottom of the fuel tank
I just ran wynns turbo and egr cleaner through mine and it’s restored the power and feels a lot better drive N47 123d
Good to hear!
Soooo, did it work or......?
Little tip for you, dont use a metal screwdriver to prop the filler neck flap. Just in case of a static arc or an accidental spark. ;)
That’s a good point!
Just invest in a long-neck oil funnel. Keeps the metal swing door open and prevents spillage :)
I do have one but like to keep that for oil only👍🏻

Thanks George. I like this method. Looks very easy. Would you recommend taking out the entire fuel rail to clean them?
Only if you’re having issues relating to the injectors, but you’ll have to replace all the seals then too
can you recommend any service for reconditioning turbo charger.
Isn’t it better to add this before you fill up tha car so that way it blends well in the tank? Maybe it doesn’t matter?
Correct but it doesn’t matter too much👍🏻
it does really mather dont buy this crap buy wynns or forte or flowtec speedcleaner
Would it have been better to add it before filling up the car with fuel so it gets mixed in better?
Ideally yes!
yep like the bottle says

No worries cheers mate!
I only put bp ultimate in my 123d seems to enjoy it :)

I allways use premium Diesel for my 520D. I used allso for my 1.9TDI PD VW with best expirience!
Are there any turbo cleaners out there that in principle do the same thing thanks ?
What do you mean by turbo cleaner?
I'm really nervous about this fucking something up in my n57n 530d f10. My car has done 47000 kms, do you think it's about time I use this?
Well no because this is for petrol cars.
I’ve used wynns turbo cleaner and wynns diesel extreme cleaner before and it made my car run much more smoothly and stopped the turbo stutter I was getting.

Like Steven said, this is for petrol cars, not diesel but cleaners won’t damage your engine👍🏻
I recommend to use a funnel...
Both cars had 1/2 a tank 🤔
Another in to detail amazing video as per. Glad you have done this full time.
Cheers Marc!
good video, what's the date for the monthly live stream
Cheers Gary! Next livestream will be on Thursday 29th👍🏻
Good one Bro i am going to try on my car thank you
🙌🏼

Cheers Stephen, every little helps!
No additives to that fuel
I use the spray can type that spray direct into intake manifold
That wouldn’t clean injectors
@@GeorgeAusters so it is a scam?
If it contains PEA in it ,it works .If not it doesn't.All the professional products use PEA.
Trouble with this type of product is it's a placebo , you pour it in and "imagine" it's running better, still it won't do any harm.....
like shell vpower hahaha its all in their head
Thats not true. Shell power after 3 fill ups in my audi a4 b6 1.8t it runs so much better . faster FACT
Tanks very much for you tanks ✋✌👏👏👏👍👍😊
Thank you man
Was denken sie über Mannol 9955?
Ich habe es noch nicht ausprobiert
@@GeorgeAusters ich verwende es seit 1000km. Jedoch merke ich keinen Unterschied.
Hello George
Cheers Phil!
common really youll have tot add it when your tank is empty then add diesel andere drive 30km. sjjjeeeeez not that hard tot read the bottle
I enjoyed this 👍

I best injector cleaner I use in my 530d is 50/50 heating oil and diesel. I had a dodgy injector but this fixed it 🤙
???

great vid pal az allways

Это так не работает. Надо разбавить и перемешать бензином после заливки присадки. И через 5 км примерно очиститель попадёт в камеру сгорания.

Я использую 9930 1:1000
