Wow, I’m trying this out, and I can’t get the pastels to spread like that with alcohol. I’m using sennelier with smooth brown sketch paper. What am I doing wrong?
Hi John, I am using Uart sanded paper in this demonstration. It accepts water and alcohol very nicely, but I don't know about sennelier paper. I tried using a wash once on Pastelmat and it did not work for me like the Uart paper does. So, I'm assuming that the sennelier paper may be similar and a wash doesn't work well on it. I'm sorry to hear that.
