Saw Maiden just last week at Download in the UK. Bruce is still hitting those notes at 63 years old and that’s after his throat cancer battle. The amount of younger fans in the crowd of 120,000 was amazing. Iron Maiden still selling out shows after nearly 50 years. Phenomenal singer and arguably the greatest heavy metal band ever.
Respect to Mr. Brooks for putting together these videos. Different people, races, cultures, ages, all jamming and brought together by the appreciation of this unique and artful metal band. Something about this project makes me feel… optimistic. Thank you.

Agreed. It's one of many reasons I'm so glad that Maiden came back through Atlanta in 2019. The first time I saw them, they DIDN'T play "Hallowed...", but the Legacy tour, I finally got to experience it in person. Also, I've heard this song dozens of times, but that moment just before the solos where the song kicks into another gear STILL gives me chills and an adrenaline rush.

When I was a teenager listening to this in 84, I never in a million years imagined that one day the music that I liked and listened to and that was scorned by the main stream as 'satanic' and reviled by parents, would one day be enjoyed by such a diverse collection of people, and that thousands of other people would watch that experience. Incredible.
I was there with you in 84. I like watching some of these reaction channels, but honestly most of these people are simply trying to make a buck off of reacting to the music we knew was great.
My mom made me read some lyrics from the "Somewhere In Time" album because she saw the Judas Priest trial on the news. Pretty sure I was in high school at the time. Too funny. Keep rocking, dude.🤘

One of Maiden's best and one of my faves. This performance sounds so close to the studio version it's amazing that they could recreate it live like this. These guys are in their mid to late 60s and 70 in nicko’s case and they still play every song live note for note. Saw them live in seattle. 9-29-22 and was abso-freakin-lutley amazing. Except for my kid being born this was the Best 3 plus hours of the last 22 years of my life since last time I saw them live
I hope these videos and reactions help people understand the passion metal heads have for the music. Epic is what metal heads crave, and metal is just that... EPIC
I grew up with metal and hard rock...these last 15 years tho ive found myself listening and loving all the other types of music i dismissed as a teen/kid. Your musical horizons can never be too broad. The most important thing for me is that the emotion behind the music is communicated effectively...thats the soul of all music. Love seeing people rock out to good metal.
I actually have tears in my eyes seeing so many different people who might have never heard or appreciated this before ABSOLUTELY ROCKIN OUT!!! Thanks for this!!!! Peace
Iron Maiden is my All time favorite band.. starting listening to them in 1983 when I was 12 number of the beast album...this song is one of my favorites !! I've Seen Iron Maiden 9 times live since 1987 somewhere on tour... y'all have to go see Iron Maiden live !!
this song is like Iron Maiden's Stairway to Heaven, with all the tempo change and build up. it's an opus. It's really good to see Clive get some much belated recognition and admiration for his phenomenal drumming.
When you think the song is over, there is an epic drum and solo guitar. Iron Maiden really puts a lot of effort on their music and performances. Such a bang!
I remember seeing them in their early days around 1973 in a pub in Heywood, Greater Manchester, England. The pub had a small stage that they played on. They were unbelievable. The place was packed out & we wouldn’t let them leave. They had about 19 encores. Still have vivid recollections of that night. Outstanding! 🤘🤘🤘
In addition, Bruce Dickinson is a qualified airline pilot. Imagine him putting the aircraft into auto pilot & rocking your socks off in the aisle. What a brilliant start to your holiday. 🤣👍
41 years old from middle east 😎 grew up listening to rock music 🤟🏻 thanks to all these amazing bands that are now part of our beautiful memories 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This is why I love to watch reaction videos, especially ones like this. I love to see the joy, the passion, the incredulity and the respect of reactors from all races and genders as they introduce themselves to genres of music they have never considered listening to. Great mashup here, as usual, Mr. Brooks.
So much joy to so many people, reminds me of the first time I ever heard this song. In my humble opinion, best song ever. I'm happy that in 13 billion years of the universe, I get to exist at the same time as Maiden \m/
Love it....been a maiden fan since 82 when many of my friends and generation kept them on the outside. I knew how good they were and are, so to see them get the recognition I always knew they deserved is very satisfying. 4 times in concert and still no one I have ever saw can match Maiden live...period!!
For all of you who have just found this band... all I can say is WELCOME, Welcome to the IRON MAIDEN Family, one of the best Metal Bands... (the best IMO) I am currently 49 yrs old and got instantly hooked at 13 when I saw them on MTV singing "The Evil that Men Do", after that I have been a loyal fan and I have been to 3 of their concerts, their on stage performance is EPIC!!! if you ever get a chance to see them live I totally recommend it.... keep rocking and enjoy!!!

56 here. I saw them multiple times back in the 80's and he truly sounded like that. And something you don't notice about them is virtually every guitar note is done by both leads at the same time. It's layered so perfect that you really don't notice.
The greatest performance, by the greatest band, of the greatest song, in the greatest genre of music. This right here is peak rock n roll. It was never better, and never got better, than this 7mins right here.
I just love some of these millennials reacting to British heavy metal and actually enjoying it and being blown away by the drums, the guitar solos, the bass and Bruce Dickinson's medieval-like vocals. As a long time fan, it brings a smile on my face 😃🤘
I found your channel randomly one day, and I've binged watched all of your reaction comps at least twice. You put so much effort and work in. I can tell this takes an enormous amount of editing. Keep up the amazing work
Ditto! Now I can't get enough! Not only am I getting a high about the song and the reactions, but also helping finding fun reactors I haven't heard of yet... All n all fantastic job on every level
As a lifelong Maiden fan it was amazing to watch the reactions of this group, especially knowing exactly what was coming next in the song. Hallowed is my favourite Maiden track. Thanks for putting this together - awesome! 👍👍
Epic. Saw these guys in the 80’s in Edmonton and they just ROCKED this song. I thought the rafters would come down. 17,000 heads banging. Epic! Still gives me chills.
I was 17 when this album came out and I saw them in concert opening for Judas Priest. It's awesome to see the reactions that were just like mine that first time. 42 years later I jam this song just as hard now as I ever did then.
The thing that I love the most about Iron Maiden is that the bass shines as much as the guitars and drums, unlike most bands, no matter the genre, where it is very "shy" and you can only hear/notice it if you have a good ear for music
I grew up with this music still so many years later , this is magic , Bruce voice is beyond words in stamina and power :) One of my favorite melodies from them :)
Pure energy. I grew up with them. At that time we liked it because it was fast and heavy. Listening to it today I appreciate it even more: incredible bass and electric guitars, outstanding vocals. Looking at the details of this song and seeing all you reacting makes me happy and reflect how good those times were.
Dammit, Derek, you did it again. Master-class compilation and editing. Perfect timed breaks, comments, expressions....it can't get better. My ONLY complaint? ....is that I wait too long for another one of these vids to drop!! hahah!
Fantastic! Epic! Mind blowing! There are No words that can describe how i love this song, and it's just more fantastic to see the reactions and the fun you guys had. Everytime i listen to it i got tears in my eyes. I found No words for it? Perhaps in german, my language: fantastisch, extrem geil, ergreifend, umwerfend, hammermässig, wahnsinn, unglaublich, super! Ich liebe Iron Maiden! Peace and freedom for the world! Thank you guys!! Greetings from germany
These guys still goes on tour. Like, every year. Every second year they play old stuff, every other year they play new stuff. And they make a lot of new stuff too. I have been to 12 concerts across 25 years, and they are always epic. You owe it to yourself to see Maiden live. They are getting old, but the spark is there.

The guitar riff in the middle of "afraid to shoot strangers" slays me every single time. Can't say "best" but definitely "favorite."
It made my soul happy to see all those people jammin out to a band I've listened to all my life. Thank You
These guys are in their mid to late 60s and 70 in nicko’s case and they still play every song live note for note. Saw them live in seattle. 9-29-22 and was abso-freakin-lutley amazing. Except for my kid being born this was the Best 3 plus hours of the last 22 years of my life since last time I saw them live
I was at the Tdome with my son just 2 years earlier... 35 years after I saw them there for Somewhere in time and Powerslave in EDX
Never get tired of hearing this great song.
Yeah I know that feeling, only been listening to it since it's release.Up the Irons
Everytime I hear this, it feels like the first time.
My favorite song from them. Always a blast.
Great video, as always.
Same. They have an amazing arsenal of music, but this one is king of all of them
I hope these videos and reactions help people understand the passion metal heads have for the music.
Peace
This was awesome and thank you allowing me to be in this
Iron Maiden is my All time favorite band.. starting listening to them in 1983 when I was 12 number of the beast album...this song is one of my favorites !! I've Seen Iron Maiden 9 times live since 1987 somewhere on tour... y'all have to go see Iron Maiden live !!
32 times here! Also my favorite band of all time!!!!! Starting playing drums because of maiden and haven’t stopped since!!!! 🤘
I‘m having tears in my eyes listening to this epic music. Thank you guys for sharing this with me. Up the irons! 🤘🤘🤘
Everyone on the panel needs to go see them live. Best concert experience I've ever had.
I’ve seen Maiden five times, and they just get better and better! Bruce’s vocals still soar! Up the Irons!
I saw them in 1980,1982 and 1984 absolutely kicked ass.
this song is like Iron Maiden's Stairway to Heaven, with all the tempo change and build up. it's an opus. It's really good to see Clive get some much belated recognition and admiration for his phenomenal drumming.
Sorry...but what is Stairway...😊
❤Iron Maiden!! Classic song..40 years and still gets me rocking!!
When you think the song is over, there is an epic drum and solo guitar. Iron Maiden really puts a lot of effort on their music and performances. Such a bang!
love watching the reaction to IRON MAIDEN, from first time listeners!
I’m so jealous!!
41 years old from middle east 😎 grew up listening to rock music 🤟🏻 thanks to all these amazing bands that are now part of our beautiful memories 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I saw them live in Gothenburg this summer and I can without a doubt say that they are the best live performers I've ever seen!
This is why I love to watch reaction videos, especially ones like this. I love to see the joy, the passion, the incredulity and the respect of reactors from all races and genders as they introduce themselves to genres of music they have never considered listening to. Great mashup here, as usual, Mr. Brooks.
Maiden fan since 1982. Seeing this just made my day 😘The folks' reactions and Bruce's voice in his prime are priceless.
6:33 Dave Murray's solo is on a different level
pretty sure they both played the solo. him and adrian often (but not always) double their guitar parts
So much joy to so many people, reminds me of the first time I ever heard this song. In my humble opinion, best song ever. I'm happy that in 13 billion years of the universe, I get to exist at the same time as Maiden \m/
One of metal's greatest anthems.
Glad to see people enjoying it, as I did the very first time I heard it.
No life Shaq a real one for that comment 🖤 Best thing i ever got told was "just because you dont like it dont mean it aint good"
iron maiden is the only band that can send chills down my spine and make tear up they are so good UP THE IRONS
For me it is, Iron Maiden and Nightwish.
I'm 59 years old and been listening to Maiden since I was 16. I love seeing these young people discovering Iron Maiden for the first time.
73, been a fan of theirs since they broke through the music scene, we'll always be maiden fans my friend. ❤
It’s a better world with Iron Maiden ❤️
They fun watch I seen the bring your daughter to slaughter tour . I lived in London as teen as metal head diplomatic bratt
One best concert out my fav 3
I just found this reaction. DB… my brother, hell yes!!!! My uncle, god rest his soul, gave me a tape of Iron Maiden my 5th grade year in school. I’m 50 now. This band is still and will always be one of favorites!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Seeing people genuinelybenjoy themselves listen to music for rhe first time is so heartwarming, especially when its music i have loved for years
Been enjoying Maiden for forty -one yrs!! Up the Irons!!!
56 here. I saw them multiple times back in the 80's and he truly sounded like that. And something you don't notice about them is virtually every guitar note is done by both leads at the same time. It's layered so perfect that you really don't notice.
Now, the members of Maiden are all in their mid to late 60s, and, they're STILL putting on shows like this!
Bruce is 62. Nicko is 69.
The greatest performance, by the greatest band, of the greatest song, in the greatest genre of music. This right here is peak rock n roll. It was never better, and never got better, than this 7mins right here.
Ahhhhhhhhh i got goosebumps watching these people listen to this for the first time!!! This has been one of my favorite for years!!
Keep up the amazing work
Yeah it's amazing to think the time he has put into editing these videos, This dude is talented at it too!
Yeah, have watched multiple times. Ya found a niche space in a very crowded genre of YT videos about people's reactions to music.
Watched them a couple times myself.
Ditto! Now I can't get enough! Not only am I getting a high about the song and the reactions, but also helping finding fun reactors I haven't heard of yet... All n all fantastic job on every level
I think this compilation is my favorite video on TH-cam. 🤘🏼
This is awesome. I’m a maiden fan from the dayvand seeing these people react makes me happy
Maiden is universal. Even Bros and Sis can headbanging.
I am 58 and I am still going crazy when I hear this master piece.
Watching all these reactions literally brought a tear to my Eye!
I was 17 when this album came out and I saw them in concert opening for Judas Priest. It's awesome to see the reactions that were just like mine that first time. 42 years later I jam this song just as hard now as I ever did then.
Great to see Maiden putting such huge smiles on so many people's faces. Just awesome.
This is fantastic. I've never enjoyed watching reactions as much as I love these.
Happy to see a new group of people experience, enjoy and realize how awesome what us metal heads from the 80s knew all along.
My ONLY complaint? ....is that I wait too long for another one of these vids to drop!! hahah!
Dude! My smile lasted the whole way through!😅 Up the irons🤘🏻You did not disappoint! This was epic!
Fantastic!
Hahahahah this was a great compilation! I enjoyed this! Great editing,
that was the 1st song i heard on your ch.
I literally get goose bumps everytime i hear this beautiful masterpiece. As a Metal Head I was fortunate enough to appreciate Metal music. Our household was filled with all kinds of types and genres. Elvis Presley, Black Sabbath, George Benson, Def Leppard, Earth Wind and Fire, Vicente Fernández, Santana. My list is endless. But Metal is my #1 Love and you will understand why with this performance alone. I love to react to reactions. Keep doing what you're doing. Thank you🤘♥️🖤
I've seen 137 concerts in my day stemming back to 1977 with AC/DC. Iron Maiden still puts on the greatest show to this day! A must see live performance. Truly remarkable!!!
I first heard Iron Maiden when I was 15, now I'm 43 and I still have goosebumps and cry with emotion. This is how magic is created, my dears, in today's world.
Bruce, in that day, was a BEAST. I remember blasting this riding PBV's into Kosovo. So pumped that it didn't even hurt.
Ya can't help but smile seeing people jam on Hallowed Be Thy Name for the first time.
I quickly became an Iron Maiden after hearing their Senjutsu album and knew I had to dig all their stuffs … their songs are truly a work of art!
