I'm really new to making music and I'm definitely jumping the gun getting into vocals but this was awesome. Love all of the tips and details. I didn't even know about the multiple 'take' tracks you can kindve splice to get the best sound. Also thank you for the tempo tips cause I've seen several videos and never noticed how important that could be in the beginning
No problem... Thank you for watching... I try to give as much details as possible to help people get going with what they are trying to do... Let me know if you have questions..😀🙏🏾
Bro, I love your channel! Great stuff. TIP: Cakewalk will auto-calculate any tempo for an audio drum loop wave file. Simple drag the clip up into the timeline. Let Cakewalk analyze it and the tempo is automatically updated to the audio loop's tempo. Be blessed man!
Yea that clip looping stuff doesnt really work for me.. I would rather move it manually.. It sounds better when I stretch it to tempo so that it keeps the original sound and pitch... Thanks for the tips and comment..😄🙏
Thanks! I have been using CK for about 2 years now, but always for just my instrumental project. I just bought a condenser mic and this tutorial got me started with vocals in no time at all.... Big thanks bro! ✌
Hey man thanks for watching... Can't wait to hear what you make.... You should join the discord and put some music in the share your music section... discord.gg/bZBSW9xS2A
I've been looking for this for a video on this for a while now..newly started recording myself, still learning..just used to put the headsets on and let the producer's do their thang..this was helpful top G..thank you..
Yessir show how you make it a full song. Generally, videos that show the whole process of making the song, like 1)recording session 2)edits and mixing 3)mastering. That would be dope. Thanks for the great content!
I have been thinking about that but it would take alot of time and be a series of some sort a lot of work.. So we shall see... Thanks for the comment...
There is a shortage on that in every DAW video.. I can take hrs to get things the way you want it when recording a song then mixing it can take several hrs at a time.. Its not an easy task to explain or do thats why many people dont.. But we shall see...
Oh yeah, we want to hear that track and an instrumental PLEASE?!! I think everybody got inspired hearing that track! Gr8 stuff man. Cakewalk seems pretty easy and intuitive.
If you want the stems and the beat I included it in this video... th-cam.com/video/fQAfG-OXwEY/w-d-xo.html I had a remix contest you can use the beat or the vocals to learn how to mix on any daw.. So have fun..😄🙏 and the track is out on all major platforms use this link to hear it on your favorite platform.. distrokid.com/hyperfollow/xelohh/can-u-see-my-footsteps
This is very nice work enkoy watching this you doing great don't be to shy beat maker turns to allstar rapper nice looks good yeah we want to see the full making off the song 🙌👌👍
I think mixing is the hardest thing to teach... Its something that you hear in a song that cannot be properly explained no 2 engineers will mix the same way or use the same tools every song is different.. It all about preference some people will say you have to have Wave plugins.. Or izotope is the best.. Or you cant mix with out Fabfilter plugins... You need to cop Slate digital plugins... This is all preference.. But I will see what I can do because this is a big subject and hard to explain and it matters what the artist wants what genre you are working in to autotune.. Not to autotune.. So yea its a big one..lol..
@3:07 - To turn down the volume of a track imported into Cakewalk, you turn down the gain knob at the top of the console, you don't use the volume fader on the track. You only use that track fader when adjusting the volume while recording a track. Very nice video though.
Thanks for the comment.... You are right I could use the gain knob for gain staging but you can use your faders for that as well.. There is no wrong way to do things like leveling as long as you get the result you want...😄🙏
